great location, great service and the sun seemed also! unfortunately the menu was for us all in German and with limited time we decided to have a liquid lunch!

Situated in the middle of the marktplatz so perfect spot. Wonderful selection of home made cakes. We ate here twice during our stay and enjoyed their hospitality and lovely home made cakes.

we sat there after a long train ride and we ate some very nice and delicious sandwiches! we were offered free as amuse bouche a suppe in littel tassen, which was a beautiful surprise. the staff was friendly and friendly. a chocolate sweet was the perfect desert! very beautiful location!

What a great place for some fresh baked pastries and sandwich. We ordered four different desserts so we can try more items on the menu. The sandwiches were fresh and yummy. We left the restaurant but definitely went back to take some more snacks to...our hotel. I highly recommend this place.

Cafe pause is next door to the museum, right in the middle of the markt place.. We sat there late one afternoon, people watching. Drinking gorgeous fruit cocktails. Very friendly table service. Although we did not eat there the menu looked very good. You eat...inside or sit out in the large sunny or shaded area on the square.

We loved our late afternoon lunch at Cafe Pause. It was such a beautiful Fall day we were able to have our lunch on the patio which overlooks the Market Square. Food was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed our hot mulled wine and hot...brandy punch. The staff was friendly and it’s always a treat to have a server who speaks English better than myself.

we sat at one of the numerous outside tables on the marketplace and we were soon served by an enthusiastic, chatting waiter who seemed amusing that a mature adult time spent with his parents. not sure why he found it funny. anyway. we have confined ourselves to ice-cream and hot tee, as we have seen the sun and the chance for some serious people. certainly a nice enough place to take a breath and enjoy a beautiful cuppa.

Had a Weiss beer and delicious slice of black forest cake here. The service was slow, as everyone has warned about, but this wasn't really a problem for me. I'm battling with full star review as the inside area (it was too cold to sit...outside) was really bizarre. It was as if they were promoting their wedding cake business. Certain sections were also decorated entirely different to the rest of the Cafe which made it feel like an addon. It depends why you want to go there. For a cold beer and fresh slice of cake, I dont think you will find better in Freudenstadt. If decor and setting is important, I'm not sold (unless its sunny and you sit outside).

If you’re in Freudenstadt, this amazing cafe is definitely your place to go to!! It’s situated in a beautiful location in the center of the city on the biggest marketplace in Germany! They have a huge variety of delicious cakes that I haven’t seen before!...And every cake we’ve tried was absolutely incredible!! A great variety of proper meals which they serve all day long!! The staff was super nice super helpful! They even had English menus were really comfortable talking English! The shop in the cafe had lots of different delicatessen which are all self made! I bought so much stuff and my parents loved it as much as I did!! If I’m ever back in Germany I’ll definitely spent more time in Freu...
