"This used to be my favorite thai restaurant in town, and I live here for years. It was never really about the variety (not a super large menu), or freshness, it was because of very good recipes that made it more outstanding than other...thai restaurants, even if the prizes were a bit up compared to others, but the location is great so one understands the increase. Specially the Pad Thai was exquisite, my friend from Philippines and I discovered is actually the one that reminds us more of Thailand. Now they changed the menu to an even shorter list of dishes, some of the star foods from the past were gone, and now the new one is exactly twice more expensive, with previous same quality of ingredients (average). Lots of plates are based on glassnudels which come really dry almost with no seasoning and a poor combination of ingredients in the meal. They do not serve sauces, they serve you less rice (we had to share, instead of getting a portion with our dishes), plates are smaller. It's a pitty, It looks like a marketing move, make it more expensive and lower the quality of ingredients and make cheaper plate combinations. In addition, I made a reservation through the phone and apparently the did not undrestand my name propperly, when I arrived and ask for my table for they couldn't find my name but a reservation under Bart Simpson's name. They laughed at me and were not cooperative. T thought that was strange. Schade!"

the place was half empty on a busy Saturday night and therefore we landed there. drinks are average, eat and also (also the picks from the map), service is slow and lukewarm. don't think I'll go back there.

Totally overpriced for Berlin!!! Small portions! You get out of there still hungry. The staff forces you into leaving tips even if you re not satisfied with their food and service and experience there overall!

My wife and I was very welcomed in this Restaurant, even though they were very crowded until late at night. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We had awesome dishes of green curry, cashew chicken, and pad thai. They were all to...die for ! We'll come back soon.

We came here for little snack with my friends on Sunday, and I was surprised how small the chairs and the tables were. And it was so super full. If you are fine with squeezing yourself a little, the food is nice. I had saté,...which was OK. Not fancy place, but serves its purpose.

The service was not good. Food was very poor: not good quality and not good recipes. It looked like they are badly improvising... The plates are small and they do not give you your own rice with your place but instead you have to share...a small bowl with the rest of the people of your table and keep asking for more, absolutely overpriced for what you get... They even push you a lot to tip!!! Very bad experience at this place for me and my friends. Definitely not coming back!

chan is one of the classic places on Paul-Lincke-Ufer. we went there a few months ago and the menu changed and was shorter and we asked. now we come back and it grows so much. woaw, eating was supergreat! we have the best pat thai we have ever had and the new authentic Thai dishes such as the bauch or khao soy or laab phed is simply refreshing. also great cocktails and the service ensure. chan is and was always one of the favorites when we are in berlin. we will come back this summer, that's safe.

we just had dinner here a few weeks ago and I was shocked when I read the last reviews. for us, note had changed. the food and service (and worth) were the same: excellent quality and excellent taste. I always get the duck in greener. Curry sauce and was never disappointed. it was the same quality and portion when I ordered it before the first time. a lot of luck looking for tasty, big portions like this for the same prices in mid or charlottenburg. we sat in the garden and had a fabulous evening. read my other reviews about hotels and restaurants in berlin. we have experience. chan is wonderful. enjoys!

We used to come here quite regularly, but after sitting down last night we realized the menu had been shrunk to become a “brasserie” (their words, not mine). The prices were always a bit expensive for Berlin, but now the “Bavette” for is exactly...the same cheap meat as before, and it’s not even as nicely presented (and is absolutely not a steak — just strips of meat in salty sauce). The massaman was almost inedible (and only available with fried tofu). Too bad that we lost such a good Thai restaurant, but save your money and go somewhere else. The service is just as bad as before and it’s more expensive and slightly worse taste. Schade.
