"We had a disappointing experience in Fire and Spice. Upon arrival they didn't have a booking and were adamant that they don't take online bookings! Not a great start. It then took 90 mins for the main course to arrive despite the restaurant being virtually empty they did come to apologise for this and said it was because they were very busy with Deliveroo orders that night. We were a party of 6, two of which needed to get trains home at 10pm so they had to leave early (our booking was at 8pm). We asked if perhaps they might consider offering us a discount from the bill to compensate us to which they said that they couldn't do this as it would be docked from their wages. The food, to be fair, wasn't bad at all, which I guess explains why they are so popular with Deliveroo, but they really aren't set up operationally to deal with restaurant guests. My advice would be to avoid at all costs, but worth considering if you are having a Deliveroo home delivery."

Food was very tasty, staff very pleasant but took a little long for the food to arrive. Good if you are not in a hurry.

the stuff was not very friendly when we came on 05.10 with an reservation. So next time we will try another indian restaurant.

Although we loved the food, we recommend table cloths, candles, flowers and a little music, as it was deathly quiet. Nonetheless, the waiters were excellent ht and honored our birthday girl.

Gave a 4 only because the music playing was Beyoncé and random bubblegum pop. The speakers sounded like a tin can like a cheap portable Bluetooth. Ruins the ambience. Otherwise, the food and service were excellent.

Actually booked for Indian Afternoon Tea £25 pp; we were so looking forward to trying. However, due to some miscommunication, no preps were made. We were offered an English Afternoon Tea at very short notice in a lovely private room. Service was excellent by 2 gentlemen throughout our family meet-up.

We firstly booked a table online, we thought. Then we read a couple of the reviews posted and saw that there had been an issue with online bookings where the restaurant had no record of them. We phoned mid afternoon and were told that they indeed do not accept online bookings, even though we received a confirmation from OpenTable!!!!! Anyway, the restaurant still had room so all was well. We also read that the service could be slow and the waiters unfriendly so were doubting whether we had done the right thing booking a table there. However, the restaurant was close to our hotel so we decided to risk it. We arrived promptly at 7pm, were seated immediately by a very polite and friendly waiter...
