had lunch there today. had the beef ciabatta washed down with a pint of clogwyn gold. i have to say it was the best beef ciabatta I have ever eaten proper sunday brisket beef and lots of it. brilliant you have try this one

5 of us went for dinner there this evening. The staff were rushed off their feet and still managed to bring us excellent food, quickly and with a smile. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were amazing, and friendly and pleasant and helpful. Well done. xx Ver carta

It was an absolute delight to stay here. Our group of 20 had a fantastic experience. The staff were wonderfully attentive and always working diligently. The food was excellent; I had dinner on Saturday, and it was both hot and delicious. The beer was impressive, and the full Welsh breakfast was just perfect. I will definitely be returning. Thank you all so much! Additionally, it was great value for money.

The pub food here is excellent. The braised beef with horseradish mash is simply fantastic. It’s incredibly tender and flavorful, falling apart just as you’d hope. I’ve had it two weeks in a row, and it was wonderful both times. My friends who have visited also raved about the food. The chef, Damo, is a true asset to the Glan Aber, and the bar staff are friendly and attentive. Plus, they serve my favorite Merywen Blood Orange gin! If you’re in Betws, this place is definitely worth a visit.

My friend and I stayed here last night we stayed in room 30. Which had lots of space, very comfortable beds, nice bathroom with a powerful shower and plenty of toiletries. All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. We had dinner last night and breakfast this morning and both were delicious and plentiful. The hotel is right in the heart of Betws Y Coed and has free parking. This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel and we will definitely book again. Ver carta

Stayed here with my partner and puppy last week for 2 nights. We ate in the bar area both nights (even though we had intended to go somewhere else the 2nd night but enjoyed it so much decided to eat there again). The bar had a good variety of drinks and if you like gin we would strongly recommend you try the one made by one of the staff! For us though the biggest plus was the staff they were so friendly, helpful and generally made us feel very welcome. We were anxious taking the dog away for the first time but we needn't have worried he was treated like royalty! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting the area.

I arrived at this hotel for a pre-booked two-day stay, but I ended up walking right back out. To call it unkempt would be an understatement. The photos on the hotel's website are completely misleading. They charged me the full amount for my booking without any notice or consent, and I'm currently disputing this with my bank. As another reviewer mentioned, it feels "dishonest." The sign outside the Glan Aber Hotel displays three stars, but I’ve since reached out to the AA and VisitEngland/Scotland/Wales— the only official organizations that assess hotels in the UK. We chose to upgrade from a standard room to the Glan Aber Suite, which truly had the wow factor for our honeymoon. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. We noticed they had a special offer for a steak meal for two at just £20. While some places might skimp on the portion size, our steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking and accompanied by a pepper sauce made from scratch, not a pre-made mix! Both dinner and the breakfast we enjoyed in the morning were delicious, generous, and beautifully presented.
