"Wir sind im Mai dieses Jahres ins Mezzo eingeladen worden.Das Ambiente überzeugte uns schon mal und wir fühlten uns gleich gut aufgehoben.Wir bekamen dann einen Aperitif gereicht der uns aber leider viel zu warm war und reklamierten.Die Servicekraft fragte uns ob wir sicher seien das uns der Aperitif zu warm wäre(wenn nicht hätten wir uns ja nicht gemeldet!!).Der Aperitif wurde dann aber recht schnell ausgetauscht und hatte dann auch die richtige Temperatur.Beim Eindecken des Brotkorbes fiel uns auf das sich unter dem Brot noch getrocknete Tomaten befanden welche da nicht hingehörten.Ein Blick beim Befüllen der Brotkörbe hätte schon genügt um die Tomatenrestezu entdecken( auch im Stress!!). Das soweit zum Service. Ansonsten lief es beim Service gut.Zum Essen war folgendes zu sagen.Die Vorspeisen Vitello Tonnato und Tomatensuppe mit Basilikumpesto waren geschmacklich gut.Die Hauptgänge Fettucini mit Pesto und die Spaghetti mit Knoblauchsoße und Tiger Garnelen waren geschmacklich und optisch in Ordnung.Bei einem Gericht waren wir aber sehr enttäuscht. Meine Frau bestellte das Spargelrisotto mit den gebratenen Black Tiger Garnelen.Als uns der Teller präsentiert wurde wusste ich schon das das kein Risotto sein kanndas den Namen Risotto verdient haben kann ohne ihn probiert zu haben.Der Risotto wurde in einem hohen Reisring angerichtet. Optisch natürlich schön anzusehen.Der Risotto war leider so trocken das er mühelos den Reisringtest bestanden hat. Wir waren uns noch nicht mal sicher ob es sich dabei um richtigen Rundkornreis (wie vielleicht Arborio oder Carnaroli handelte weil der Reis so verkocht verklebt und trocken war. Geschmacklich war er noch in Ordnung.Ein guter Risotto sollte leicht cremig(schlotzig) sein fast schon laufen und trotzdem noch einen leichten Biss aufweisen. Meiner Meinung nach sollte er auch in einem tiefen Teller angerichtet werden gerade weil er ja schlotzig und cremig sein sollte.Da ich selber Koch bin undmeine Frau im Servicebereich arbeitet können wir das schon ganz gut beurteilen.Schade, eigentlich hätte ich gerne eine bessere Bewertung abgegeben aber der Risotto lässt das leider nicht zu.Wir werden aber wiederkommen. Wer weis was an diesem Tag passiert ist das man uns diesen Risotto serviert hat."

"We have often eaten gluten free in the restaurant here (pizza and pasta) or ordered pizza to pick up. The taste was always very good. As the restaurant is always very busy, it is advisable to reserve a table. The service is sometimes a bit overwhelmed due to the many guests. Unfortunately, the gluten free pizza, which is available for an extra charge, has become much smaller! The "size" is more like an appetiser, as even our 13 year old daughter, who eats like a sparrow, can't get enough. Wir haben hier schon häufiger glutenfrei im Restaurant gegessen (Pizza und Pasta) oder Pizza zum Abholen bestellt. Geschmacklich war alles immer sehr gut. Da im Restaurant immer sehr viel los ist, empfiehlt es sich einen Tisch zu reservieren. Der Service ist manchmal aufgrund der vielen Gäste etwas überfordert. Leider ist die gegen Aufpreis erhältliche glutenfreie Pizza deutlich kleiner geworden! Kann von der "Größe" eher als Vorspeise gewertet werden, da sogar unsere 13jährige wie ein Spatz essende Tochter davon nicht satt wird"

"We had a party of around 30-40 people. The place looks nice, courteous staff. However service was really slow for the first hour and a bit, barely got drinks each waiter was coming with 3 drinks on a tray and people were fighting over who gets it because it was soo hot. The AC barely worked. Starters were too less. But then they made up with the mains and desserts. Mixed grill platters were really waiter said beef may not be halal so had lamb kebab; lamb cubes and chicken. The chicken was probably the best, with a light safron and lime marinate, grilled to perfection."

"The place was packed on an early Saturday night, but we had reserved. At first we were assigned a tiny table at the hallway where everyone who needs to go to the bathroom passes closely behind one's back. We expressed our dissatisfaction with this and then were offered a table close to the entrance that was somewhat better. Why not from the beginning? The staff was stressed and each time a different person appeared at our table. Some were friendly, others curt. The atmosphere was loud and hectic, which was not helped by the very narrow spacing of tables. In any case, in due course our order was taken and it did not take too long to arrive. This was possible, because clearly much of the food is prepared in advance and only heated up. For example, the Tajine dish was served in one, but it was clearly not prepared in it. The food tastes ok, but we would have expected more seasoning, it was a little bland. Portions are generous, perhaps even too large. There is a short list of bottled wines, but prices are marked up steeply. Altogether, the price tag seems a little high for the delivered quality. In summary, while there is nothing deeply wrong with Djadoo, we were left with a mere average impression. But they were turning three or four seatings per table, so many other customers are clearly more pleased."

Das Abendessen lief sehr fließend, ohne übermäßige Wartezeiten, aber auch ohne, dass man den Eindruck hat, das alles sei bereits vorbereitet und noch nur noch aufgewärmt.Alle Gerichte kamen für alle 7 Gäste an unserem Tisch zusammen und alle waren mit deren Qualität sehr zufrieden.Die Portion sind zudem sehr ordentlich, so dass man nicht Angst haben muss, mit hungrigem Gefühl wieder nach Hause zu fahren.Die Karte bietet zahlreiche Fischgerichte und Paellas aus Portugal und Spanien an, sowie Fleischgerichte und eine ganze Seite Tapas.Das war das erste Mal, dass ich hier kam, werde aber auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn es darum geht gutes Fisch zu essen oder einen schönen Tapas Abend zu verbringen.PS: für Paella ist eine Wartezeit von 40min auf der Karte angekündigt. "This restaurant looked a little fancy when we first walked in, but we found the prices very reasonable. They have a lot on their italian menu of mostly pastas, meats, and pizzas. For those that cannot speak German, the staff spoke english and most of the menu is very straight forward. The restaurant itself is very small. This would not be good for large groups. The staff were all very friendly. The food was a little slow getting to the table, but i am assuming the kitchen is pretty small based on the restaurant. We saw a lot of people come in for take away pizza.We actually came here because we were visiting Burg Frankenstein which is maybe 10 minutes away. If you are making a day trip to visit Frankenstein, this is a good place for dinner."

""What is not to like?" says the BF, about this cozy English pub featuring incredible Indian food?!? After being seated we were greeted by a friendly Indian woman who suggested we try a couple of dishes that she personally oversaw. We were delighted with the tomato based chicken curry and rice served with a delicious lentil soup and the crown jewel, a speciality platter with small bowls of rice, lamb, a potato mixture, paneer (cheese curds), yogurt with carrots and a mint sauce. Both dishes were accompanied with paper thin crispy Nan. (They also offer a vegetarian version of this specialty.) If you prefer something other than Indian food, there are lots of options available on the large menu. If you are curious about the steak with cheese sauce mentioned by other reviewers the chef that offers that specialty is there on Fridays, otherwise you can cook your own steak on a stone. Check out their website as the menu changes. We have definitely found the best Indian food around and will be going back SOON!"

Nach durchschnittlichem Essen und schlechtem Wein Plavac für 5 Euro der zurück ging, fiel es dann auch mager aus und auch nur weil es noch 2 Slivovic aufs Haus gab. Die positiven 4,6 Sterne Stand 1.6.2023 lassen sich meiner Meinung nach nur durch einen großen Freundeskreis erklären oder durch die fehlende Kenntnis kulinarischer Alternativen. Bei 2 Sternen, die ich gewählt habe, wird die Rezension abgelehnt, aber nicht bei 5 Sternen. Komisch oder ; und jetzt habe ich sie wieder auf 3 Sterne gesetzt"

"Hidden away in a residential area, this is a little gem of a place, tastefully and warmly decorated with numerous pretty moroccan lamps and artefacts. Being a family-run business, we were served by the friendly son, who also speaks excellent English.We had an excellent white bean soup with spinach, and then two traditional moroccan main dishes, with couscous. The small meatballs in tomato sauce dish, served in a tanjine, was good and had interesting and intricate seasoning; the other dish, aubergine with minced meat in tomato sauce, was somewhat rough on seasoning and not as good but my parents still enjoyed it.The prices are very reasonable: the main dishes are not very big, but they range in price from 7-10 euro. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.The restaurant also has a nice little deli store attached, where you can buy all sorts of moroccan delicacies. We bought small pastries / cookies, which were delicate and good although expensive (1 euro for a tiny pastry).I definitely recommend the place if you're in Darmstadt and want to try moroccan food in a cozy atmosphere."

How childish and incapable of criticism you must be as an owner if something like this makes you tell lies about others. This in particular shows me that in many reactions to negative criticism there is probably nothing to it but that the customers are definitely in the right. Embarrassing action with straw man arguments to save your own reputation. The stay was exactly one and a half hours. It probably took 50 minutes if you counted the time until we were officially served. Please work urgently on your ability to take criticism and try not to blame the customer for your failure, we were really humble about it. We were just asked if we would like something to drink and then we ordered. There was no mention of the waiting time. We also didn't hear an apology once. We even offered to pay for the drinks (2 glasses of Inka Cola, etc. . So disrespectful and simply not suitable for business. _________________________________________ Been there the second time and was bitterly disappointed. For the starter after 1 1/2 hours there is unfortunately not even any information about where the food is. So understaffed on Peruvian National Day (1 waiter and 1 bartender . "Just what I was looking for on a cold, snowy night in Darmstadt. The steak came with salad (some lettuce spinach leaves) and fries (quite good). The meat portions are huge. The filet is almost twice the size of what you get in the...U.S. and just as tender. Other meat portions that I saw were downright huge. One patron quipped wow, I just wanted a steak, not the whole animal . I was with many business colleagues and everyone agreed that the meat quality was superb. The usual local beer menu was available. The restaurant is quite small and could fill up fast. Not sure if they take reservations. Be aware they do NOT take credit cards! I would definitely go back."

"My Daughter who `s a teacher in Germany booked for us again we have been here in the summer and this time the winter special of Duck, their signature dish was on.... What can I say It was maybe the best meal of my Just so good ... I returned days later for a repeat with my wife and son in law he had the Veal steak which I nicked a bit of,it was tasty .the duck is served with a choice of potato or bread dumplings quite big like a large grapefruit size these are a skill to make I preferred the Bread one my wife the Potato both I coated with wonderful gravy and an apple baked and on top of red cabbage. this was washed down with beer and wine by others pudding was the Kaisersmame and plumes and sour cream cherries if you share this dessert you will argue over the last bit beaware its that good crisp and dunked in the plums....Yum,,, as you can see from my pic I enjoyed working on disguising my six pack... Signora Beatrice runs what must be Darmstadt`s hidden gem of a restaurant well worth the short walk out from the centre...As that other Austrian Arnie said i`ll be back (next vist to my daughter for sure)"
