"Very disappointed with our visit for my birthday and our anniversary. We were taken to upstairs room, cheerless, with no ambience, unlike downstairs where we thought we would be eating. Our starter of Coquille St. Jacques was very poor, hardly any potato, one scallop and one prawn in a very thin sauce. The beef and mushroom pie again was in a very thin gravy with a thin one crust shortcrust top. At the end of our meal we let the waitress know what we thought of the meal and she did at least say she would let the chef know."

The food was amazing as usual 2 ad cayenne Chicken with Pineapple 1 ad belly pork and 1 ad pork calvados then pud ,the service was top notch as usual we highly recommend a meal at no 5 ! X Meal type: Other Price per person: £30–40 Recommended dishes: Eton Mess

Tasty food, salmon delicious. Good portions size. Nice ambience with low lighting but the candles I found off-putting as they were on every table and very highly scented. Was a bit distracting to have chemical flowery sweet smell from the candle while drinking nice wine and eating nice food. Other than that can't complain and will be back nonetheless.
