"We opted during our Warstein-stay to have dinner at the Warsteiner original brewery building/house "Domschänke Warsteiner Brauhaus" and were absolutely stunned by the beautiful and cosy interior of this "institute". We were welcomed by a very friendly young lady showing us a table in a romantic corner, and asked if we cared for a drink already whilst handing out the menus. With the white wine and tonic water came some beer-bread and Charlotte-garlic dip sauce, which was most refreshing ànd tasteful !We went for a main dish-course only (as we opted for desert instead of starters) and choose the skin-grilled fresh salmon with mushroom, garlic/herb butter and croquettes on the one hand, and grilled rumpsteak (200gr.)("bleu" cuisson) with fresh salad, pommes frites and bearnaise sauce. Both dishes were absolutely brilliant, delicious and large portioned, using freshly cooked products. (congrats again to the cook-intern who was working/cooking his last night of his internship at the restaurant !). We were absolutely stuffed after dinner and had to skip dessert, had a coffee and capuccino instead. The quality and taste of food, combined with the friendliness and atmosphere made this a wedding anniversary-dinner to cherish for a long time !"

Op zoek naar een restaurant voor de lunch op aanraden van tripadvisor hier geweest. Aanrader! Heerlijke curryworst en zalige flamkuchen, zowel de klassieke als de zalm.

Jeden Mittwoch Mittag Schnitzelbuffet in der Domschänke/Sudhaus. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auswahl zwischen Hähnchen- und Schweineschnitzeln. Verschiedene Saucen mit Pommes und einer großen Salatauswahl.

Väldigt god mat! Alla i sällskapet var supernöjda. Vi åt schnitzel, nörkorv med potatis, vegetarisk penne pasta och gulasch.Till efterrätt blev det chokladkaka med vaniljglass, vaniljglass med chokladsås och vitchoklad mousse med vinkokt päron. Wir waren mit einer befreundeten Familie im Sommer in der Domschänke. Die Karte ist recht übersichtlich, aber das ist auch gut so, denn häufig ist weniger mehr. Allerdings hätte der Service allein aufgrund der Besuchermenge zügiger sein können. Im Mittelteil fiel mir beim Besuch des WCs auf, dass die Wasseraramatur total verkalkt ist und ich ungewollt geduscht wurde. Soetwas habe ich noch nie erlebt.

Domschaenke is a lovely restaurant at Dieplohstrasse in the center of Warstein right next to the brewery administration headquarters. Around the end of the 19th century the house was brewery and family home of Warsteiner's owner family. The restaurant has kept this traditional interior feeling, showcasing historic views of the town and traditional brewing equipment. Food is great with plenty of options to choose from and of course plenty beer choices are available. Bring some time to enjoy the athmosphere, German restaurants are generally not too quick (but on the good side also not as pushy to get you out again).
