"We arrived at the restaurant at 6.50 in the evening for dinner and the chap in reception appeared totally uninterested. When we asked for a table he informed us that the restaurant didn't open until 7pm. We would have expected to be asked if we would like a drink and the menu whilst we waited but he simply turned his back and pretended to be involved doing something at the rear of the bar. Because of the delightful setting of the restaurant overlooking the beach at Le Racou we decided to wait the ten minutes until the restaurant opened. We were shown to a table and discovered that there were already a few clients seated. A young waitress brought the menu and, after an unacceptable wait, the drinks arrived. With hindsight we should have left at that point, but we persevered. The restaurant had now become quite busy, and many others who had arrived much later than us were being served food, whilst we thought that our order had been lost. To make the situation worse, we were close to a very noisy party who had four children running all around the restaurant, and annoying most of the other diners from the looks on their faces! The food eventually arrived and it was ok, until I discovered a grub in the middle of it. I asked the waitress to explain and she disappeared for a few minutes before returning and explaining that it must have dropped out of one of the trees. I asked her if they often dropped out of the trees covered in a blue cheese sauce, and clearly this was beyond her comprehension. The evening was a total disaster, not helped by the attitude of the staff. All I would add is that if you decide to eat at this restaurant, please make sure you do not sit under the trees which cover the outdoor terrace particularly the blue cheese sauce tree!!"
