"siamo stati a cena alla fine di agosto, su consiglio del mio ospite . siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi dalla gentilezza e dalla cortesia della signora che ci ha accolti. il posto è lindo, molto luminoso e l'atmosfera è piacevole. abbiamo preso una panzanella, baccalà, una tagliata, un dessert, due insalate di frutta (che non è facile da trovare nei ristoranti della zona,) acqua, caffè per un totale di circa 70 euro. Nota: qui la copertura non paga. E' stata una buona esperienza che, se torniamo ad organizzare, ripeteremo con piacere."

"we booked dinner in this restaurant with in mind the many positive reviews read. The place is undoubtedly beautiful and in a suggestive position. I think with the beautiful season the panorama is unparalleled. The staff proved to be welcoming and noticed without being intrusive. The negative point is the kitchen. the dishes are very well-kept and well presented.... but very little incisive from the point of view of the almost anonymous taste. High account but suitable for location and service...but not for food!"

Da Nonna Nini siamo stati accontentati, l accoglienza del personale mi ha piacevolmente stupita. "Food, service and atmosphere are all 5 stars. We have been travelling most of Italy over the past 2 weeks and Assisi has had some of the best foods along with Rome. We came to Enoteca Mazzini for dinner and we were the first customers since we like our dinner earlier. Anyway once seated the waiter who spoke good English took our order. Both our pasta dishes were incredible. Super delicious. Service was also quick and great. Our server was awesome. The outdoor seating area of this restaurant is like heaven. It is like a scene from a movie. While seating there multiple people stopped to just take pictures of the beautiful outdoor area. All in all we had great food, great wine, great service and great time. 100% recommended"

"I'll tell you to eat well. I enjoyed the cut embellished with truffle scales. cooking as required. quality of raw material. contour of roasted potatoes great. more than satisfying desserts. kitchen 8/10. location 7/10: simple and contemporary goto. I'd say young. there is so much wood and natural for the wine shop... - So much wine and its boxes around. the location of the restaurant is then very central. on the service lights and shadows: waiter and owner kind. but it has not been the organization since I could see when the club has filled up and then you are a little lost. forget the dishes for a long time on the table and strollers in the ordinations and finally in the account. we felt neglected. Maybe we were an isolated case. but if it wasn't. would be an area absolutely to improve. vote 6 10. account: we value 7/10 considered everything. It is a place that we recommend if you want to dine well near assisi and off the classic tourist route."

"this place we can classify it in a phrase: Top appearance, flop substance! seems to be in a michelin star club but then you realize that they put the good dress, make up and the top hairstyle at a simple restaurant. the environment is beautiful with that floor that shows you the Roman domus, the furniture and the tablecloth very beautiful and with pieces of design, the menu very nice, the water cards, beautiful and wide wine paper, sommelier very prepared. homemade bread (bread to change. they were all dried excellent appetizers (the egg really a pleasure while the first was a risotto with Parmesan (the truffle did not even feel given the amount of cheese the second of fish without praise and without infamy, good sauces but the fish had not been well treated. That's how sweet. the waiters though very attentive and kind, run back and forth ruining a bit the atmosphere of tranquility that the place should have (maybe renouncing also to some table of tavern,) but the thing that has had the worst impact is the chef who is ocited several times towards one table explaining the dishes and asking if everything was appropriate, cultural tour of the domus and finally sat at this table. You're waiting for yourself at a club like that. If the chef comes out he does it for all the tables and maybe avoid turning under the glass floor if there are people sitting at the tables above. Maybe a category choice should be made. superior or standard"

"We where sited in a table that was situated in outside of the dining hall it was disappointing. The service was slow we got the cold cuts and cheese plater, almost half an hour after we got the wine. On the other side, the food was great especially the pasta dishes."

"To be clear: the food is good! But: coperta 3€ per person (we were there as a family of 5 makes you start with 15 €. Then: Primi for 14 to 16 € and you get exactly fivr (5! ravioli like pasta pieces per person. This is insane. My tagliata was very good. But again: 16 € for the meat, without contorsi. The additionnal potatoes were for 4 €. Whch makes then 20€ for a Secundo. We had to pay 179€ for having: Two (2!! antipasti to share with 5 people; 3 Primi (Pasta for our teenage children and 2 Secundi (for us parents . One bottle of wine and some water. We decided not to take any dessert. It is just overexpensive. We left still hungry! There are restaurants in the area, with similar or even better quality, that have lower prices. So two marks for the food, otherwise I would have given only one, because this is what the middle ages called usury and it's absolutely in contrary to the ideals of the Poverello, who died just 100m from here."

"My sister and I had dinner here a few days ago. in the premises there were people, but it could not be called crowded; the waiters, on the contrary, were very confused. We were asked if we had booked when there was no need at all. We ordered a cutter and a mixed salad. nothing of particular, yet the prices (too high axis were not proportionate. the salad seemed taken from the envelope and put in the dish, without any particular addition. meats, however, were good and suitable for two people. However, the restaurant is nice, inserted in an archaeological context, that of the Roman Forum. the floor, transparent, allows to glimpse the remains."

"We had a table booked for 8pm. We arrived early so we were given Prosecco each whilst we waited for our table to be available. We waited about 10 minutes then we were brought to our table. We ordered our food which was fine. We understand that it was busy but the food came after 45 mins I would say, and it was cold. We all ordered pasta dishes. They were nice but would’ve been better if they had been hot!!. Once we got the bill we checked everything to make sure it was right, but we couldn’t understand why we were charged €56 for two of the dishes we got. Turns out the two prawn linguini “specials” that two of us had were €28 each!!. €56 for two bowls of pasta is crazy money if you ask me. We were not told that they were €28 each, if we had known the price we would have gotten something different off the menu. Also €7 for natural tap water?? You can get that for 70 cent in the super market. Lovely service and lovely staff, but the prices of the two pasta specials is maddd. Was an okay experience, but we will not be returning while we are here on holiday"

"Per essere un stelle molto molto buono, ad occhi chiusi avrei detto ne avesse Nel centro storico di Assisi e personale molto gentile e cordiale che fa sentire i propri clienti a casa di amici. Pulizie notevoli alle quali devo fare i complimenti. Unica pecca è che nelle stanze le grandezze di camere e bagni sono un po' sproporzionate, una delle nostre doppie aveva il bagno molto grande ed attrezzato per disabili ma con mancanza del bidet. Invece l'altra camera aveva spazio letto il doppio dell'altro e il bagno più piccolo con un metro quadro riservato alla doccia nel quale c'era anche il water. Non mi sento di togliergli una stella per questo perché il resto ha superato le aspettative."

"abbiamo cenato due volte perché siamo stati in città, la prima volta che siamo stati all'interno (pitture molto particolari, davvero artistiche) e abbiamo mangiato una pizza con tartufo e porcini, buono ma un po 'difficile da tagliare. la seconda volta abbiamo scelto i tavoli originali che sono lunghe la scala di ingresso. .non abbastanza spazioso ma molto caratteristico! un menù a prezzo fisso con penne di norse e carne alla griglia con patate a 18€, serve proprio soprattutto per la cena! anche portato gnocchetti al vino (non ricordo il nome) abbastanza gotico. personale cordiale e veloce al servizio. prezzi giusti."

"Do not be put off by the outward appearance of this place. Park up the road by the shops, almost opposite the vets. If you want fantastic shellfish and fish for amazing prices this is the one. Not a flashy place, plastic chairs outside but you go for the food: gamba prawns in cognac sauce, tempura baby octopus crisp, not greasy, whole seabass in salt crust etc etc. There were 4 of us and we also had water and 2 bottles of prosecco for around 150 euros. They also give you a complimentary fennel digestive to end your dining experience. They have 2 menus, the tourist and the italian, we mixed and matched. Lovely staff"
