"I wouldn’t bother with this place if you want afternoon tea. We arrived and were told that we didn’t have a booking for afternoon tea and they couldn’t now put one together as they had no food to provide it. I asked to speak to a manager and suddenly they said they could do it but we would have to wait half an hour, so we waited. Well it certainly wasn’t worth the wait, probably 4 slices of bread cut in fingers, with predominantly ham mustard, cheese with an unrecognisable red stuff inside and soft cheese and cucumber. One tiny scone each a tiny square of brownie and a ball of something that would give anyone with dentures a run for their money! Appalling and definitely not worth £14 a head! No offer of a discount after having to wait and being told that the booking didn’t exist, even when I provided email evidence that it had been booked! Also the pub was freezing cold and therefore not very welcoming, toilet seats in the ladies coming off the toilet bowl. Won’t be visiting again, extremely disappointed"
