"Ok food, really cheap, really stressed staff. The offer only one vegetarian meal (Käseschnitte, bread with melted cheese) but I could easily order a Rösti without the meat. They even gave me a cheaper price because it was without meat. This was really refreshing as most other restaurants don’t give a discount for ordering without meat. The Rösti was more cheese than Rösti (maybe some people prefer this but I didn’t) and was really big. My colleagues Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu were also really big. The price is really great. I would recommend eating there if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and have enough to eat. Also if you search for a gutbürgerliche Küche . The downside was the waiting time. We waited a long time and tables that ordered after us got their food first. The only waitress was stressed the whole time and ordering something took a long time. I wouldn’t go in there again. It wasn’t that bad but just not great."

"The menu here is weird, a mishmash of different cuisines, but the reviews were positive so we just gave it a try. Food was very good, we ordered an appetizer but got it prepared differently (shrimp cocktail came out cooked in some shallot juice, but it was really good so no complaints). As I said, the menu is weird so I ordered fish and chips, fish was really good, light batter and cooked well. Fries were solid and the tartar sauce was different than I expected was actually great. Better than most tartar sauces I get usually when I order fish and chips My wife ordered the Spanakopita, she said all the ingredients were fresh though the dough was more like a calzone than a filo dough, but it tasted good Switzerland isn't cheap, so the cost was a bit more than the US (I live in NYC) but with the service fee included it really was close to a wash as to what we would have spent on NYC when you include tip. Service was good, besides getting a different shrimp dish. If I am ever in Bern again, I would go here again. I can see why it's been open since 1973"

"Der Service hat uns die ersten 15min vergessen, ich finde es wichtig, dass der Gast relativ rasch sein erstes Getränk erhält. Danach war der Service hervorragend! Die Salate und die Suppen waren wunderbar. Die Hauptspeisen waren geschmacklich gut, doch beim Cordon Bleu fehlte aus unser Sicht "wow-Effekt".Uns wäre lieber, wenn die Gerichte ein bisschen grösser wären und dafür 2-3 Franken mehr kosten würden. Die Desserts waren dann wieder top.Wir werden weiterhin die Bras Obstber besuchen."

"Wonderful, historic restaurant, tastefully renovated, loving menu with wonderful meat and vegetarian menus. Rather in the upper price segment, but this can be easily justified by the quality of the performance. Tram depot beer would be a plus in itself. The 2.5dl Herrgöttli (incorrectly advertised as a Stange and sold at this price... without an alternative (4dl or Grosses are a saumode that does not belong in a business that is located in a brewery."

"I was in Büner twice, but waited for the second visit to write a review. I had grilled an almost perfect meal last night fillet mignon over wood for perfection, with truffle butter, steamed vegetables and thyme roasted potatoes. This meal is paired with an Italian red wine. I don't take time to write reviews for restaurants that don't afford, but this is special. Service was friendly (both my bad German-speaking skills) and outdoor terrace for an aperitif was nice. I can only recommend Büner."

"A nice little place to find a bit of Ticino authenticity in Bern. Excellent service, very friendly, really good risotto and not bad luganighette. The atmosphere of the place is really fantastic. The menu could still have something more from our canton. Instead of luganighette, a real local luganiga with a nice Milanese risollto or a nice polenta with braised meat. The best in summer: grilled ribs (NOT POINTS , but of course you need a nice grill (see photo of the Canvetto federation of Canobbio . But this is just a suggestion, otherwise I really recommend it and I will definitely return. If you make ribs, I'll come every week : A separate compliment for our young waiter. He has been working at the grotto for two days and he was very nice and competent! Another one for the acrobatic waitress, who saved the tray full of glasses with a circus action Knie!"

"Quality of sushi which I have not found so far in Bern... fresh and simply delicious! The interior might not be the most cosy or beautiful (surely a matterof taste), also prices are not the lowest but all worthy because the service and food is amazing!!! Fully recommend!!!"

"We are excited! The food was fresh, exceptional with great and refined ingredients, to the point and simply delicious! Price/performance was 100% right for us, the staff was friendly and the young chef even personally asked us about our well being. Although it is difficult for us to classify the different courses, special praise must be given to the Asian tartare in a lettuce leaf and the fig pecorino pasta a culinary delight. Again and again. Thank you for this enjoyment!"

"We were invited by a friend who had been posted in Bern for some years and liked this restaurant. We have no idea what the bill was. The salads were delicious and my wife enjoyed her steak but I was badly disappointed by the steak tartare which was not au couteau i.e. finely chopped but simply ground like a hamburger. It was sticky, gelatinous, and almost disgusting. The toasts that came with it were rather horrid white bread and no garlic was provided. No decent restaurant should dare to serve that. My wife had a very indifferent omelette soufflée ; my crème brûlée was O.K. but nothing worth writing home about. We were welcomed by a very pleasant young woman who was replaced (to our loss) by a clumsy, boorish, untrained young man. The politicians and diplomats who frequent the discreet first floor of this establishment do not come for the cuisine obviously."

"They used to have more, but currently there 's two vegan main dishes (one of which local specialty with planted meat and they have a salad, starter and three desserts to go with it. Good but not fantastic. But the location is a sight to be seen. Wow. A huge vault in a 300 year old building, tastefully lit, with a bar on mid floor. If you 're in the area and they 're open (they close between lunch and dinner , then I suggest you consider this one or at least drop in for a peek. "Great food, excellent service. The outdoor tables they set up on the street in the evening cannot be booked, but if you show up early enough, you can grab a table and enjoy the ambience. It had completely filled up at 7 and some tables were empty at 7:30. You have actually put a table in yourself it outside for a group of 6! Absolutely the friendly service of any Swiss restaurant I've ever been."

"Ein Besuch mit Übernachtung in Bern erlaubte mir, den schon längere Zeit gehegte Wunsch, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen, zu verwirklichen. Freundlicher Empfang in diesem Kellerlokal sehr steile Treppe . Obschon ich nur für mich allein reserviert habe wird mir ein grosszügig dimensionierter Tisch zugewiesen. Das Tagesmenu passt mir gut, und ich bestelle es samt der Weinbegleitung.1. Vorspeise: Pulpe, Jakobsmuschel, Algen schmeckt fein ; 2. Vorspeise: Wachtelbrust und -ei, Wachtelpraline mit Haselnuss, Randenvariation, Orangenspuma SEHR schmackhaft ; Hauptgang: Charra Rinds Rumpsteak, Rindsplätzli, Karottenvariation, Kartoffelstampf, Shitakepilze eine sehr feine Kombination welche mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat ; Kuh- und Ziegenkäse; Dessert: Nougat, Mascarpone, Johannisbeere schöner Abschluss eines feinen Essens und Kompliment dem Küchenchef welcher alleine ? arbeitet. Trotz fast vollem Lokal war zwischen den Gängen keine unangenehme Wartezeit zu vermerken. Der Service war angenehm und sehr kompetent, jeder Gang wurde detailliert beschrieben. Die servierten Weine Catarratto [Francesco Guccione] Lemberger [Weingut Hirt] Gres Saint Paul [Antonin Languedoc] Singularis [Paulo Loreano Alentejo] Beerenauslese [Velich Burgenland] entsprachen nur teilweise meinem Geschmack, passten aber ausnahmslos zum dazu servierten Gericht. "Am 10. Dezember 2016 gingen wir zu 3 ins Injera um 20.00 essen. Um es kurz zu halten. Positive Punkte waren sicherlich: -Begrüssung sowie Service waren freundlich und gut. -Ambiente ist auch in der Ordnung. Einfach und sauber, jedoch war es etwas kühl im Raum.-Die Toiletten waren in tadellosen Zustand und niedlich dekoriert.Das Essen: Wir entschieden uns für das Erlebnismenü. Es kam eine gute Auswahl von allem was auf der Karte stand. Die einzelnen Portionen waren meiner Meinung nach (Ca. 1 1/2 Esslöffel) zu klein und ohne das "Fladenbrot" wäre man auch nicht satt geworden (haben auch nachbestellt). Der Geschmack über alles hinweg war etwas fade und es fehlte an einem Highlight (subjektive von uns 3 wahrgenommene Meinung). Zudem war das gebratene Lammfleisch auf einer Seite verbrannt. Das Bier (Amber) war gut. Preis& Leistung: Vorweg muss ich zugeben, dass wir bei der Auswahl des Menus, etwas rasant über die Klammer (Preis pro Person) gelesen hatten, wurden jedoch leider nicht vom Servicefachmann auf den Preis hingewissen. Das Erlebnismenü (ohne Vorspeise) kostet 43 CHF pro Person. Inkl. den Getränken und einem kleinen Trinkgeld habe ich 160 CHF gezahlt. Leider muss ich sagen, dass für ein relativ einfach zubereitetes Gericht mit einem eher geringen Anteil an Fleisch dieser Preis stark überteuert ist. Ich hoffe die Inhaber überdenken Ihre Preispolitik in diesem Sinne. Zu mir: Ich bin selbst in der Gastronomie als Dipl. Hotelier/Restaurateur HF tätig und habe auch in div. Funktionen in Restaurant und Hotel gearbeitet. Diese Bewertung stütze ich zu einem Teil auf meine Erfahrungen in der Branche ab. Freundliche Grüsse"

"Our son reserved place for his family and ourselves. The minestrone and the carpaccio were delicious. My son and I went for the main dish "branzino alla griglia" with a fresh sicilians white wine and the wives for a new pizza dough 7 grans 'la norma' and 'al pistachi'. For the kids, a little spaghetti and part of the pizzas. The interior looks beautiful, cozy and very net. The service was with Italian temperament. Super thoughtful, rafty and classy. The desserts tiramisu, cream roar and ice cream were super delicious. It's one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited."

"Very very delicious food! I've been eating here again and again for several years. I still love it as much as I did the first time! The dishes are very delicious my favorite is BULGOGI with pork! Plus the salad with the fine sauce; simply delicious. The staff are very friendly! I was a little disappointed with the drinks. I thought there was something very special about cold Korean tea. It was Korean IceTea from the Pet bottle and I didn't like it at all. I would prefer something neutral. Unfortunately, prices have risen somewhat in recent years and portions have become somewhat smaller. All in all highly recommended! Will continue to eat here!"

"A small menu with very careful dishes. An idyllic setting in a central location although a little out of the way. A stone's throw from the Museum of Fine Arts Interesting selection of wines. Dinner on the terrace. The tables are quite close together and that evening it was a little noisy. Not for confidential conversations therefore The service is very professional and fast, a bit American-style. From the photos, I imagined “nouvelle cuisine” style portions, but ultimately not at all. Generous portions. To improve the experience we could offer bread, and let the diner breathe between two courses. Curious to test seasonal variations..."

"Very nice pub in the middle of Bern. A dream for beer lovers, the menu is forever long, but the prices for beer are quite high. What I liked best was the finger food. I like to eat something small when I drink a few beers with friends. There are nachos, chicken wings, garlic bread etc. The prices for the food are really fair. In the restaurant you can only order in English, which is ok since it is an Irish pub. The pub is large and comfortably furnished, so you don't actually want to leave. In any case, a good place for people who don't know their way around Bern like me. Lovely again."

"Ein Restaurantbesuch ist im Suresh mehr als essen genau wie ich es mag. Ein tolles Ambiente in der unteren Berner Altstadt Gemütlichkeit Sommerambiente mit Kerzenschein. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen, was dennoch wichtig ist, war sehr gut. Allein der Hunger darf nicht zu gross sein. Während Salate recht gut bemessen sind war das Suresh Spezial Curry auch für Normalesser sehr knapp bemessen. Ein bisschen Gemüse, ein kleiner Salat, ein Schälchen Dal oder ein Stück Naan würde das Curry und die Menge ideal ergänzen. Alles in allem ein super Sommerabend gerne Mal wieder!"
