"We were invited by a friend who had been posted in Bern for some years and liked this restaurant. We have no idea what the bill was. The salads were delicious and my wife enjoyed her steak but I was badly disappointed by the steak tartare which was not au couteau i.e. finely chopped but simply ground like a hamburger. It was sticky, gelatinous, and almost disgusting. The toasts that came with it were rather horrid white bread and no garlic was provided. No decent restaurant should dare to serve that. My wife had a very indifferent omelette soufflée ; my crème brûlée was O.K. but nothing worth writing home about. We were welcomed by a very pleasant young woman who was replaced (to our loss) by a clumsy, boorish, untrained young man. The politicians and diplomats who frequent the discreet first floor of this establishment do not come for the cuisine obviously."

Das Hauptgericht sollte scharf sein, für mich hätte es etwas mehr Schärfe sein können. Sehr aufmerksam wurde ich mit Getränken versorgt. "Ich war heute mit Freunden zum ersten mal im Essort. Obwohl es das Lokal schon ein paar Jahre gibt war es mir völlig neu. Der Besuch hat sich jedoch mehr als gelohnt! Die Einrichtung und Bestuhlung war OK - nicht der grosse Wow-Effekt, trotzdem stilvoll. Wow war jedoch was die Küche zauberte. Herrlich liebevoll angerichtete Teller mit Produkten die Überzeugten. Schon der "Gruss aus der Küche" war exzellent, das Black Angus dann einfach nur zum träumen! Perfekt gebraten, zart und geschmackvoll. Auch die Nachspeise mit dem sehr kreativen und ausgezeichnetem Mojito Glace ist erwähnenswert. Nicht zu vergessen der aufmerksame aber nie aufdringliche Service. Toll! Alles in allem ein wundervoller und gelungener Abend. Einziger Punkt der etwas störte war der hohe Lärmpegel im Lokal."

"Great little place near the tram line. It has a cosy interior will little tables dotted around. The window seats are a great place to watch the world go by. I had the cream cheese and salmon bagel and it was great, not too big or over filled. Cappuccino was served with water which was a nice touch for a cafe which doesn't sell itself as a coffee bar. Staff were friendly and spoke fair English. Prices are steep but that's not too bad given that the location, quality of service and quality of food and drink were all above average by far."

"An 24. Dezember 2016, ca. 1100 Uhr gingen wir für einen Kaffee in dieses Lokal. Es war kein Gast anwesend - nur zwei gelangweilt aussehende Serviererinnen. Auf unsere Frage, ob wir uns an einen uns sympathischen Tisch, der ab 1200 Uhr!! reserviert war, hinsetzen und einen Kaffee trinken dürfen, schaute uns die Bedienung taxierend an, dann in ihr Notebook, um wohl die Reservationen zu checken, und meinte unfreundlich, dass wir uns an einen kleinen Tisch an der Wand im Gang hinsetzen sollen. Wohlverstanden - leeres Lokal, 2 Personen für einen Kaffee - das war wohl zu wenig. Unsere Empfehlung: machen Sie einen WEITEN Bogen um dieses Lokal, Bern hat besseres zu bieten.Ach ja, beinahe hätte ich es vergessen: als langjährigen Weinkunden haben Sie uns ebenfalls verloren."

A place to sit around with some cold Mexican beers, savour the sandwich style food, and slam down...a tequila or five. Nix für Businessleute welche nachher noch einen wichtigen Termin haben, ausser sie wollen Punkten im Geschmack den sie mitbringen. Ich gehe meist zum Lunch (All you can eat) mit Freunden dorthin. Das System mit dem IPad funktioniert ausgezeichnet.Zum Essen: Sushi ist OK, wobei ich auch schon das Gefühl hatte, wenn ich um 11.30 Uhr komme, dass es noch von gestern war. Das kann man umgehen in dem man halt erst auf 12.00 Uhr hingeht. Ansonsten bin ich mit der Qualität zufrieden, klar kann man an anderen Orten noch besseres haben. Das was es für mich auch noch ausmacht zurückzukommen ist, dass man auch leckere Fleischspeisen bestellen kann. Was hingegen weniger qualitativ fand, waren die Frühlingsrollen und anderen frittierten Taschen.Im Grossen und ganzen stimmt hier das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und es lohnt sich hier vorbeizuschauen und es selber Mal zu probieren."
