"We planned to celebrate and have a nice meal in the Seerose after my son completed the Ironman Event . From the Start on walking into the restaurant we felt uncomfortable .We were put on a table and we asked if we could be changed to the lake view , he said it was to dark ( yet there were a lot people in that location and a large lamp beside the table ) We moved , The waiter did not like it at all , we went to order , he then said it will rain in 30 mins , so we said it's ok we will move with the other people sat at there tables, he said very abruptly That's why we put you on that table , we then said we didn't know it would rain which he replied any one can see it's going to rain just look up , then he said have you got a problem with me , we said yes you are very abrupt and have a terrible attitude , he said really you can leave if you want ! We were going to leave but decided Due to the long day we had he would not upset us on this special occasion . Eventually it rained so we were moved , when my cousin said could we go inside He said sorry its full , there wasn't one person sat at any tables inside , because we said that he then turned and said would you like to go inside ? Another young man served us the steak it was delicious, thank god , he was lovely and asked us About our day . We had a good talk to him . While the other waiter hoovered starring We felt that uncomfortable we finished our meal paid and left . The meal was £375Steak - Bootle -wine- spirit . I needed to tell all as it was appalling I am going to name and shame as the other waiter was really nice , The appalling waiter was of darker skin colour , about 40 , wish I got his name . Won't set foot in there again .Shame as the restaurant is lovely and the food delicious."

"Normally not a pizza eater I happened to eat two within one week once at a pizzeria in Zürich Seefeld, once at one in Zürich Wollishofen on the other side of the lake. Both times I had been with a friend and both times we tried the Pizza Napoli, my favorite one. And automatically one starts to compare. Without any hesitation I can say that food, service and atmosphere had been far better in Wollishofen, at the MediterRana. The young waitress here does a super job: fast, efficient with always a friendly smile on her face. We sat in a corner overlooking the restaurant, where there is enough space between the tables, not this having to squeeze through, which must have been especially uncomfortable for the waiter at the other place. Also the air and the noise level was better here. The pizza again had a thin crust and was with plenty of anchovies and capers on it. My British friend, who was with me, said that it had been one of the best pizzas he ever had. Besides a good pepper mill there was a little bowl of peperoncini in olive oil on the table. Curious about the name of the restaurant, I found out that 'Rana ' was the Pakistani family name of the previous owner. On the business card that was brought with the bill, the actual owner has a typical Albanian name. We used to see the owner once in while during dinner, helping out his waitress and passing by our table to wish 'good appetite '. It did show to me not for the first time (one of my other favourite Italians in town is run by two Kurdish brothers that you don 't have to be an Italian to run a good Italian restaurant."
