"we were on a short trip in Boltenhagen and wanted to taste the delicious dinner here on the coast, catch fresh fish. because we did not want to take risks in the still abundant fish restaurants in quality, we have informed ourselves on the basis of more recommendations. we were then recommended as "restaurant deichläufer". the restaurant deichrunner is located not far from the Boltenhagener seebrücke on the promenade and has thus also scored with us with its location directly on the east Sea. the fish restaurant itself has a terrace in the outside area and at the entrance area a windproof glass front (a kind of winter garden.) the actual restaurant is not too large, but cozy, the coast appropriately decorated. from the inner leads as a highlight a free standing staircase, into the open gallery-like upper branch (see picture) of this break you have a beautiful panoramic view of the east sea of certain places. everything just as many people like this, in a fish restaurant on the sea. we had reserved in advance and got a quiet place on the window, with view of the counter. we were also glad that we had already reserved in advance, as the restaurant was visited very well. whatever is a sign for us that eating must also be good, as we are known to speak, that cannot be wrong, as many guests can not be where they taste and where there is also a good price-performance ratio. it is also important that the restaurant deichrunner has been in the eastern sea bath boltenhagen since 1994 and if the food quality would not be the same for so long, the restaurant, which is also run as a family business, would not have survived. there is a citation of the French philosoph “Jean Jaurés”, who said: “Tradition does not mean to keep ashes, but to keep on glowing” and this seems to be true here in the restaurant deichrunner. for dinner I had ordered the “Riesengarnelenschwänze in garlauchbutter fried with baguette and salad plate” for € 16.20 and my wife had “Brased dorschfilet mit lauchgemüse und Butterkartoffeln” for € 15.60 (see photos.) both were freshly prepared, tasty, very tasty and had a lot of tradition to finish.
