"I was recently on a hen do in Bristol and we needed somewhere for lunch. My two friends and I were tasked with finding someone last minute for 18 hungry ladies and the bride had let slip she was hankering for a pizza. After strolling around and reeling off the usuals we stumbled across this place and looked longingly at a massive free table of this pizza/pie place, 'perfect ' was banded around if only we could have that table. So we took the plunge and went in! The guy who seated us was so nice and helpful and wasn 't even that fazed by seating 18 people. All seated we then remember there was a party member who had to have gluten free and vegetarian, no problemo! They have gluten free options too! Phew! We perused the menu and had a very tough time deciding on what to have out of all of the very nice options and there was some serious order envy going on when the food did arrive. I eventually decided on the lamb bam boogie pie and wasn 't disappointed! It came with lovely big wedges, chutney and a pickled onion. Just one, strange but enjoyable! But in all honesty I could have eaten any of the things on the table. We weren 't in any condition to try them but they have a large cider selection and you can even buy a sampler of 6 different ciders. This place is perfect for groups, families, couples or even singles. Everyone pays before for their own food in advance nando 's style and there 's plenty of choice and stuff to suit everyone! What a find!"

"My partner brought us here for our anniversary. Sadly the food was a real pretentious mishmash (a lot of purée in every meal including a really unattractive grey sludge in the main), we were freezing cold in the restaurant, and the service was absolutely awful. Wildly overpriced; we’ve spent the same amount of money at Michelin-starred restaurants in London. And the level of quality/overall experience here in no way felt aligned with, or deserving of the steep prices. Firstly, we went on a cool night in early October and the restaurant was freezing. People were eating in their coats…at this point it should be fairly obvious to light a fire or turn on the heating, but it seemed management couldn’t read the room there. The service was incredibly sloppy and careless…spending so much, you’d expect more of a well-rounded experience, which could be as minor as making a small note as to who’s eating what on a small table of two people. I had to ask for cutlery twice when I already had a plate of food in front of me, and at every stage of the meal, “right, who’s having the XYZ??” just seemed so out of place and charmless when you’re digging deep into your pockets. The waiter got one of our drinks order confused, and then later on, after saying he’d remove it from our bill we discovered we’d still been charged. We didn’t really feel like they gave a hoot about us to be completely honest. My partner’s wine glass had also been unhygenically cleaned and imparted the wine with a stench of fish. It was quite shocking. Thankfully on that occasion they were apologetic but wow, that really should not be something happening to customers. The menu was really confusing, and when the waitress tried to explain, only led to further confusion. Firstly, small plates really aren’t tapassy small plates as they’re served in huge domed bowls. just call them “starters”. “Snacks” as a header for the menu too feels like it belongs somewhere much more casual. The experience overall was unnecessarily pretentious and lacking any real substance. I’d really urge you to strip things back to wholesome pub fayre and get solid on the basics first before aiming for the stars, as this was all very shaky. I’d go as far as to warn friends to steer clear of the restaurant at this pub, unfortunately."

"Wow, where should I start? the tasting menu was a fantastic culinary experience that was certainly worth the celebration of our jubilee. the courts have in their excellence...every seemingly better than the last, despite the early courses wonderful in their own right. each was a perfectly balanced creation, blending of aromen and textures to perfection. to mention some specialties (see the photos below to see how each dish was presented) the heke was simple, but overwhelmingly delicious when with the smoked raw and butter sauce. the lamb was probably my personal favorit, working with the overlapping aromes of the various cuts of lamb, carrot and tweeting together soou well. the direction continued in the desserts. especially the chocolate, the miserable, the sesame creation... very good. every cure, while a perfect combination tasteful, was also built and presented kreatiw...and the result was definitiw the wall worth in the kitchen. we also had the paired weepings that were all very painfully thought out and served further improved dishes. The theodora from Austria, which would not have been our first choice for your own drink, was perfectly complicated with confit kohlrabi. complete good for the team to get the wein pairs right. that was as good as it gets. the service was perfect. the place small, but as a result, somehow intimate. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, but it's not cheap. so it will only be for special occasions. the simplest 5-star rating I gave in the old one."
