"My family ordered from the Claws hut outside seating area in Brixham yesterday and what I can describe as utter stupidity from those who work inside is an understatement. Prawns or crab looking delicious on display, place an order. Get no ticket, then wait at seats as the young girls then say we'll bring it to you then proceed to deal with all the take away orders, and completely forget yours. We asked twice where is our order, oops forgotten was told. Half hour later for a sandwich which literally takes mins to put together arrives and mine is still missing, to me saying there's still one more. It then arrives in what is the soggiest bread on the outside like they've wiped the counter and it's running wet to then place the bread on top of the water, filled it up, cut it really badly to serve it and say sorry for delay. Whilst we watched a large family group turn up and get served almost instantly. The girls have zero system inside the hut and need management to sort this asap. It really isn't tasking, write up the order, pin it to board, work thro the orders in turn, serve. What a joke show it was to sit and observe for 30 mins or more. We also weren't the only ones. A lady at the back I noticed go up twice to say where is my bread after ordering a pot and no bread arrived. 10mins later she goes up and collects bread slices herself. I appreciate it's busy at weekends but sort it out. It's not supposed to leave customers writing such negative reviews. We want to have enjoyed it and left a good one. Impossible not to let others know. Think before you order. There is others in the harbour so I'd say on this experience go elsewhere. Or risk a joke show."

"this small restaurant has a little nondescript front, very easy to go by. at the arrival they are faced with very steep steps. no elevator or disabled access. when entering the restaurant, they are greeted with an unpleasant smell that they finally get used to. (not sure what to make from it) it has an old but comfortable device. something similar to a seaman pub with separate cabins to eat. we had a warm greeting drink: a large series of gin available (as most places nowadays). amazing whisky and ginger-ale, served in a very heavy high ball glass promptly order drinks and order courses. long wait for the starter good choice of music. van morrison sade easy to listen. still waiting for appetizers our adjacent table ordered and were served, eaten and relieved from their starters. still do not wait a complicated order of starters. smoked salmon for phil scalopes for me. only so far. they wait. minutes and still no starter. it is not as if the girls are busy, they only have covers. I have to admit, I find works of art over my table a little sticky if not pushy. oh, hi. cover just arrived. I'm trying to ask one of the only waiters if the cook wants a hand? cover came. not even spoken. they are waiting. we sat on success. Apart from the font/shell in the scalops I can't mistake it. subtly boiled scallopes in garlic butter. a dream to eat. I could have finished without the grit. outstanding double whisky and ginger ale if it weren't for these excellent drinks, I would have thrown my toys out of the stroller and left to get a bag of chips to share with the möwen. I'm waiting for my blue filet steak. I repeat the waitress, blue. I don't want to see any gray meat on my teller. ... if it appears at some point. I sent the tweeper rings back immediately. they were fat, uncooked, uncoated discs of not what I ordered. the filet steak, although blue, should never have been cooked by a chef who passed his little chef wimpy burger frying class. it was an endpiece full of sinus and needed the skills of a brain surgeon to cut it to find the flesh. asked for the bill. the fastest service to today! the luck was removed the raw wobbles and surprisingly the chips. they were really very nice. recommends to the waiting staff given that an end piece of the filet must be trimmed as it is full of sinus and should never serve as steak, let alone blue. last word, the owner must revise his training methods and they have seriously done their employees an injustice. they don't know better. bless them."

"We use this place to wow our clients. From large corperate to small business owners, each (wish I could swear to emphasise here) love this place. This IS the best Tapas, if not, best restaurant locally. A fine dining menu with a friendly, relaxed, yet special feel. They nail a multitude of cuisines, with each dish being the best variation of it i've tasted. Now i'm only in my (late) 20's, but our clients vary and all of which that have come here agree and never want to leave. Each time they come to visit us, we don't firstly look at agenda's, we look to see if we can get a seat here. The chefs are excellent, but you don't always come back just because the food is great, which is why Sara and her team are the best at what they do. Sara makes everyone feel special and really knows cares about her stuff. She deals with each situation perfectly and even when i've had to sit and cringe at situations, she spins it expertly, avoids any awkwardness and ends up making even the worst jokes seemingly brilliant. You have the likes of the elephant/ other boujee' fine dining restaurants which when we have a client used to be first the options we'd think of, but now it's nothing other than here. The others have a pretensious aura and make lovely meals in a stale atmosphere, but not here as you can enjoy the occasion and company just as much as the amazing food. My one and only critism is that it's now impossible to find another place to take our clients, which is why I returned with the same client on Thursday and they couldn't be happier. I could write a lot more, but won't be a bore, so i'll end by saying thank you for keeping going. I first came to you after you recently opened, with my father and his spanish friend (a typical spanish bloke... a big headed chef, which your food is the first he did not critique). You were seemingly struggling and it even felt like you were close to giving up. We're all glad you didn't. Thank you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
