"Pleasant location, professional honorable reception, impeccable service... Have chosen the dish mussels-frites... Frites too cooked or oil of obsolete frying... Tiny mussels in giant shells (see photo)... Many empty shells in the dish served.... (proposed to use it as a supplement) Many crushed mussels, not firm in the mouth, pasta... (additional means refused for this reason) Have chosen 2 glasses of local wine... White : very well... Rosé : medium (sulfites)... Have we shared our respectful constructive remarks to the server at the Directorate... Given the above remains very objective, this is not a place we recommend to regret..."

"I've been eating ice cream since I'm a kid and it's my kids today who still enjoy it Large choice of ice, toping, pancakes etc. They also make sandwiches in the beautiful days Quick service, with pre-payment and hand-over of a order to remove its order from the charming young people who serve us, Nothing complicating so... I strongly recommend They are very good located on the big street and facing the port"

"I had a nice look and a pretty look. I asked for a new knife because my dirty one was. the waitress wizard over with her apron and gave it back to me. after my appetizer I expected to be the main food new cutlery. the lady took my cutlery while clearing off the teller and put it on my table and organized such a madness. my appetizer actually tasted after... nothing. my main food was only so white and tasted strange. I didn't feel very comfortable and can't recommend it any more."

"When I read the comments I feel like I’m making a restaurant mistake. But unfortunately not. Sandwiches ordered to take over 1 p.m. on some cutters but they can change and charge you the same price of the most expensive sandwich order, in short the scam. The worst and the sandwich in itself makes without love even worse with disgust in the face of the person who prepares them. The horrible taste apart from olive oil to replace butter, look at the photo of the piece of mozzarella finds at the bottom of the bag seen the weight, the compacted ham, the just bread of the old. Basically no luck on this address if you want to eat a sandwich made the same simpler and 4 times cheaper. The shame of the Food this address."

"We ate with family in this excellent restaurant on the edge of the beach of cassis. Reservation for 1:30, we arrived at 1:50, we were greeted with the smile. we tasted as apéro on a large tray: gratined mussels, calamars a la provencale, calamars frits. Everything was excellent. Then nuts of holy jacques, intercoast and magret with honey. always succulent except the slightly too cooked magret according to my wife (but she left nothing!!!). very good dessert.I recommend this restaurant."

"Nice place and we were running late for our reservation. They called us to confirm and kept it for us. During summer you need to park outside town so take timing into consideration. Reservations essential during peak season. CCs accepted. Service was very slow with...only staff which was disappointing. Seafood platter was fresh and excellent."

"Yea I know, Italian food in France, especially Southern France? Sure why not? Sometimes you need something different. If that different thing is Italian, try this place. It's a bit hard to find in the rabbit warren of streets down by the harbor, but it's worth it. The address on Trip Advisor will get you there via Google maps. The food was fresh, service attentive, selection varied enough to provide something for everyone and not too expensive. They even have a mixture of French and Italian wines to choose from. So for something Italiano, this is the place to go, sitting inside if too hot or cold, or on the tiny cobblestone street if just right. Give it a try. Cheers!"

"We stopped here for lunch. Tables in the shade just off the main drag but with a view of the comings and goings of the port. Mostly tourists, but less touristy than the awning ed places lining the port which we had found either less than excellent or heaping the price on for less than special food. We had sea bass x 2, a 50cl bottle of local rose and a half bottle of San Pellegrino, total cost a bargain 60 euros. The service was quick and good. The fish was delicious generous portion, simply fried in butter but not drenched (could almost have been grilled). Worth a lunchtime stop in preference to others round the port."

"Visited on the third day of the new ownership. Absolutely fantastic experience food- and service-wise. My son and I finished a 4-mile hike in Calanques around 3 pm feeling hungry only to find out that all other restaurants in the area were closed after lunch until 7 pm. One of of the four new owners, Lou, a 16-hour-a-day-hard-working, kind and mesmerizingly radiant young lady graciously arranged with the chef to cook for us — something that never happened to me before. My son and I both agree that the food was of the highest quality. Crème brûlée was to die for. The cheerful conversation with Lou and beautiful view through the window made our food taste even better. Les B du Bestouan is on my list of places to come back to when I return to Southern France again. Merci for the wonderful experience! There is an inexpensive parking lot right next to the restaurant too."

"We ordered the bouillabaisse with lobsters. What we got was a plate of overcooked whole fish, which we had to pick ourselves and put in the so called bouillabaisse. The soup was brown/green with a hint of yellow, it was gritty and had a fishy odor(yes, it's a fish soup but bouillabaisse should not smell like fish like that.) We tasted it, found it foul and notified the waiter, which simply said she was sorry we didn't like it. For a meal like this, you should not pay, at least not full price, but the boss insisted that she'd never heard anyone complain before, and when we complained, she argued that she didn't understand English, although she had no problem communicating with us before. All in all, a lying tourist trap with the nastiest bouillabaisse by far. Don't get intrigued by the menu with options for the bouillabaisse, just don't eat here."

"We had lunch here on a rare rainy day and despite the weather the restaurant was full which is why we chose it. There are many choices around the harbour with a variety of offerings but this was dry and had sardines as one of the lunch specials. the menu has a variety of fish and meat dishes. Our lunch of fish soup, sardines and cassoulet of veal was excellent. The only disappointment was the lack of a 50 ml pichet wine selection so we had to suffer and drink a whole bottle! More expensive but it was a local Bandol Rose and excellent"

"I'm surprised by the reviews because I found the place top! Certainly the furniture is a little tired on the other hand we found the very friendly welcome. The leader as well as servers and waitresses have been in small care, always with a smile. We also had lunch and it was very good! My salmon at the plancha was just delicious! Installed on the mattresses we overlook the beach it is enough to descend 3 steps to swim. A shower and a changing cabin are available. The rates are indicated on their site that avoids disappointments."

"No, it's not on the water, no it doesn't have a view. That does not matter, this is the best food you'll find in Cassis. We absolutely loved our meal here. We started with traditional bread and olive tapenade as well fresh mussels broiled with...cheese and garlic. Hard to beat. My wife had linguine and clams, fantastic. The dish that made the meal, however, was mine, the braised octopus. It was so juicy, fresh and flavorful. It is hard to find octopus that isn't overcooked and rubbery. You can find it here. We will come back every time we visit."

"we spend a few days in cassis at the end of our holidays. In view of the commercial and tourist nature of the harbour boulevard and its restaurants, we have tried to find a cozy, pleasant and qualitatiw high-quality restaurant in the towns narrow restaurants. L’atelier traiture is definitiw. this place! we were greeted by franck who took the time to come to us, explain the menu in much detail (see it about 10min) and gave us an appetizer on the house. I started a discussion about seasoned and he brought us happy different types of salt and paprika from all over the world to taste. I took the braided beef that was beaten in a 20-h cook marathon and my gf took the meer brass. splendid food! the cook led the restaurant itself and found the time to speak with each individual customer. GREAT experience, especially for a city that is overrun by day tourists and holds a lot of basic pizza and sea rest fruit. at the end of the eve we were offered a few glasses limncello. beautiful evening. Thank you franck!"

"the restaurant now seems to be called don alfonso. a confirm! We ate there no less than 3 times during our stay of 5 days in a blackcurrant. So much to say that it was our favorite place of cassis! We ate there twice at noon and once in the evening being delighted every time! the reception is particularly pleasant, the setting also, especially when they put tables on the small square in front of the restaurant. Prices are high, but it is worth it. Italian cuisine is original and delicious. pasta always cooked to perfection and subtle and surprising preparations. Special mention to the house-gun!"

"One dinner with two, one finds the magic view, one stops. Why not? We're offered to see the buffet. We're seduced! nothing to say on the service: very polite and very nice servers. Simple but very correct. Great disappointment: you get up to take desserts: more desserts! We're on a Saturday evening, July 20, 22:00: more desserts! Where's the chocolate mousse? What? We're getting a demolished vanilla flan in front of our head, but it doesn't tell me... no brownie? No lemon pie? No white cheese? Obviously we should have eaten faster...We're sorry, we're working 60 hours a week, and we wanted to take a little time. It's a Saturday in July, right? so yes the establishment is very nice, the view is unavoidable! the team is kind, pleasant and polite. The place is clean. wc are clean. the staff is clean on him and everyone is kind. I was told that the steak tartare is also on the map. A treat! But the inability of the establishment to offer the desserts in quantity, for all its customers: it is very bad, from 7 pm to the end of service, we must, each customer must, have the right to the same number of desserts...Not so much to write: "dessert as until 9 pm"...I am convinced that you will correct this small point because it is all that remains to be really better! Everything is fine if not. I recommend this restaurant for those who wish to dine quietly and with a fabulous view! We will return to see if the desserts remain in place after 9:30."
