"We visited this little restaurant recently on a Sat night when we stayed in one of the villas at the nearby Palazzo di Varagnina. Had we found the restaurant earlier, we’d have eaten here almost every night. It is a lovely option with indoor and patio dining options we opted for the outdoor We have a 15yo son, who is a bottomless pit so we decided to try the €30 per head all you can eat option. Starting with some breads, there were then 4 pasta meals served, a great variety and some great examples of the regional pastas we’d seen elsewhere, including green tagliatelle, which was our favourite. I thought we’d struggle to finish these 4 dishes but we did, thanks to the son, and we’re offered more pasta before the mains we declined! The mains were a selection of sliced rump steak, roast vegetables, pork and grilled sausages. Once again, the serving was huge but we managed to work our way through it, the meats were cooked well and accompanied by some lovely local vegetables. Nigh5 was capped off by drinkable lemon sorbets and endless limoncello and amare. Just a great find and good, honest local cooking. Would tend to avoid Sat evenings if you can, which is when all the locals and their dogs (literally) come out. Every other evening seems less intense but a restaurant you have to try….."
