"We ate here on New Year's Day in the evening. As expected it was very busy and they seemed pretty short-staffed everyone running all over the place, felt very sorry for them. As a group of we were on a long table which was the case everywhere we'd eaten throughout our Center Parcs holiday but it was impossible here to talk to anyone at the other end as it was so loud. We were offered either table service or use of a QR code on the menu. I'd have been happy to do the latter but most were more comfortable with table service and it was really very good overall considering the ground the staff were covering. Our drinks orders were taken and delivered promptly as were starters. The nachos are a great and sizeable starter I'd happily have them as a main. Garlic bread went down really well with our year old! Mains took a while to arrive but were really good when they did. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. Not sure if I was just lucky but mine were very meaty. Partner's burger was great too. Our year old declared her chicken nuggets the best ever and year old enjoyed her pasta, though the serving was really quite small (though do bear in mind said year old can eat an adult's portion of pasta with ease :D). We didn't stay for dessert as we'd waited so long for our mains, but honestly it was understandable as I say, staff seemed thin on the ground and were doing the best they could. All in all the food was good, the atmosphere was lively and the kids enjoyed their meals (as did we Couldn't ask for more."

"Been to Luton Hoo for Afternoon Tea before so was looking forward to visiting again but what a disappointment! Was greeted by a young girl, no smiles, just said hello, showed us to our table, left us for about 5 minutes asking us what tea would we like, I had to mention we had booked for sparkling wine afternoon tea, probably wouldn’t have got it otherwise so decided what tea to have, didn’t take long as not much of a selection then she went off. 10 minutes later a young lad came with a small plate each, 5 sandwiches on each plate, what happened to the tier plates you use to get them on? Anyway, the roasted beef sandwich was the only nice one, the other 4 were tasteless and now to have to pay £8.00 for a refill but before they use to be free! Shocking! If they were all nice I would have paid extra as I was still hungry! The tea wasn’t much either, sparkling wine was ok. We ordered another 2 pots of tea to go with our cakes, well they were even worse, 4 small, doughy scones, 2 plain, 2 with raisins and literally 2 raisins in them, you couldn’t make it up! Small pot of jam and cream, certainly not enough for two but couldn’t be bothered to ask for more, just wanted to get out. Passion fruit chocolate mouse was bitter, green tea choux, why?, pineapple and buttermilk tart was as dry as anything and Victoria sponge was coconut sponge, rotten. The whole experience was dreadful, use to be such a lovely, busy place but it was so quiet, staff don’t care! Anyway we decided to leave without getting our 2nd pots of tea, can’t believe it took so long! Service was terrible. Will not be back."

"Looking for a midweek lunch spot which was unlikely to be packed out with people rushing to enjoy post lockdown freedoms, this traditional village pub in the back streets of Clophill came to mind.It's been a good while since I was last there, but everything that impressed me last time is still in space plus a seamless and scrupulously observed set of guidelines to keep everyone safe.Good beer, great traditional food, a very friendly welcome and a chance to enjoy a sunny lunchtime meal were all big plus points, and there were plenty of other punters making the most of the chance to enjoy a proper pub. Double thumbs up all round."

"First visit for a drink bite to eat. Ordered the vegan sausage baguette When it arrived it looked like a ‘meat a meat sausage’ I took a tiny bite felt sure it was. I asked the waitress was it vegan, bear in mind I had told her 3 times I was a vegan. Of course I didn’t eat it the waitress said if ordered the meat version !! But why would I !! I’m vegan !! I left the food the manager came out and instead of an apology he said if ordered the meat version! Again! Why would I ! I’m vegan!! No apology! I left the food and half a glass of wine and walked out!! The manager came rushing out, presumably because I didn’t pay fir my wine … and took s picture of me leaving in my car??!! Why?? I did nothing wrong!! Awful experience … customer care non existent!! I can only thank god I eat a teeny bit and wasn’t sick!! Not that they would care … horrendous"

"We were invited to have a meal from here yesterday and I can safely say that we really enjoyed the food. I’m usually really fussy with pizza, but the pizza from here wasn’t at all greasy, nor was it too salty! We also got some curly fries and garlic bread which we enjoyed too. I would say this meal was better than the domino’s pizza we had a few weeks ago."

"It's called Hideaway because it's tucked away back from the main road and you could drive past without spotting the small sign flagging up where you need to go keep an eye out for it opposite the petrol station and make use of the free on street parking nearby. We combined our visit, prompted by curiosity as the name was a new one to me and I couldn't recall it catching me eye whenever I drove through Langford, with a stroll along the river because, well, there's not a lot else to do in these parts. But the welcome is warm, the coffee is good, the premises are a bit cramped but the customers were just as cheery as the staff and we all managed to sort out sufficient space. As well as catering to drop ins there's obviously a steady trade from locals picking up takeaways of daily specials, pies and the like. The specials menu is themed according to the day of the week jacket spud on Monday, a clever take on a roast on Friday, for example but generous sausage and bacon baps, superfood salads and other treats are laid on every day. The home made sausage rolls packed with more meat than half a dozen Greggs versions (and much tastier) are recommended, cakes were good too as well as a light lunch we headed off with bags full of goodies for later. We don't pass this way that often, but we will definitely be back."

"Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with Toddington services. My recent visit left much to be desired, as the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the establishment were subpar. The tables were cluttered with empty wrappings and remnants of food, and it was disheartening to see overflowing bins from previous patrons. Despite my best efforts, I couldn 't find a clean table to sit at, nor did I encounter any cleaning staff during my visit. A word of caution to future visitors: be sure to wipe your feet upon leaving. Overall, I would advise against stopping at this location until significant improvements are made to its cleanliness and maintenance standards."

"We visited on Saturday for a 60th Birthday lunch. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for our party. We had my 10 week old Grandaughter and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was perfect not too much choice but something for everyone. We all had 3 courses.... compliments to the Chef.... we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and super friendly service. We will return...afternoon tea looks tempting. Thank you to the Chef for the lovely 60th Birthday plate...The lady that looked after us asked if it was special occasion...I mentioned its was my husbands 60th and she arranged the beautiful plate with the chef."

"The only pleasant thing about this place is the young lady front of house. The Italian owner is obnoxious and rude and he will be the death of his own business. do not put fish chips on a menu and then serve terrible frozen breaded re constituted rubbish and then try and justify it when there is a complaint. Equally don’t try and justify it by saying it’s an Italian restaurant when there is nothing to say it’s an Italian restaurant other than a few pasta and pizza dishes on the menu. But it’s ok because he offered for me to only pay £10 instead of £15!!! I did give feedback when I started eating that it was terrible and I did eat my chips and peas because I was so hungry and have nowhere else to go as I am staying in a b b in the area. Literally the weirdest and worst place I have ever eaten and I’ve eaten out a lot. I feel for the young lady that has to work here she could do better! Needles to say I will never return and I’m sure he is pleased of that because I stood up for myself and he didn’t like that."

"We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant, we have been there multiple times and always enjoy it. The service was very good and kid-friendly. We dined in for dinner and the price per person ranged from £20-30. The food was excellent, we give it a 5 out of 5 rating, as well as the service. We highly recommend trying the Chicken Madras and Chicken Jalfrezi dishes."

"The food here lets the whole of the Centre Parcs Woburn experience down massively, they 've recently changed food supplier but even that doesn 't excuse some of it, it 's frankly awful and combine that with extortionate prices, forced 7.5% service charge and it turns this once great location to a MUST AVOID location. Our £86 bill (for 2 adults and 2 kids only having mains) thankfully was quickly knocked down to £42 but even that I felt rather cheated with. The menu makes it all sound very exciting but the reality is way off! Mac and Cheese was basically just plain pasta with stringy cheese, my 5 year old son could have likely cooked better. The 'Ultimate bacon cheeseburger ' is actually a cheap tasteless burger with 2 bits of dry bacon, a cheap bun and a slab of processed cheese on top... £3 extra for garlic fries... which were just normal fries with an oil or butter on it (no visible sign of any butter). The BBQ Cauliflower Bites were hard and overcooked. The Brocolii was undercooked. The Beer is £7.50 a pint! Sadly all food at Centre Parcs Woburn should all be avoided in our experience until they decide to stop putting profit before guest enjoyment and actually start serving decent food at reasonable prices. Centre Parcs need to seriously reconsider their offerings as people won 't return. The soft play is also tatty and needs to be refreshed."

"Can’t fault this place, decent food and always arrives piping hot. Have also collected in person and they’re friendly and efficient, not terribly priced either. Quality of food is what you’d expect from fast food but better than your average McDonald’s. It always arrives long before the estimated time too and cold items are delivered separated from hot items, something a lot of places don’t consider."

"I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and when I got it I questioned whether it was; my friend ordered a latte and hers was frothier than mine. I explained that cappuccinos are usually a lot frothier and the waitress offered to add more froth ... her excuse was that the oat milk the boss buys doesn 't froth well! Evidently he needs to purchase more appropriate ingredients. When it was returned, there was a bit more froth but it was ultimately still a milky coffee (not even a latte! And had been spilled all over the saucer. I also ordered some toast with jam; on the menu it was £2.50. It also didn 't mention butter. The toast arrived already buttered; luckily I 'm lactose intolerant not allergic but certainly not as advertised. Then I go to pay the bill and I 've been charged £4 for the toast! When questioned, the waitress just turned around and asked her boss to speak to me and he said they couldn 't keep changing the menu with all the inflations. I stated that we should have been informed or at least a sign, at which point he pointed out an A4 piece of paper stuck on the wall inside with small print writing on. I 'm not sure it would have been obvious even if we had sat inside, but we were sat outside so we definitely didn 't see it! There was no apology given, and he repeatedly referred to me as lovely clearly in a condescending attempt to placate me. He then passed me off again to the waitress who charged me. I 'm not one for making a scene, particularly in such a small space, and I wholeheartedly support local businesses but there 's a line and they 've crossed it. My friend enjoyed her latte and cake, so perhaps it is only the dietary restrictions and prices that are issues but I dont find it acceptable. In fact, the lack of clarity is quite possibly illegal. I shan 't be returning."

"The reason for the rating is that with so many people in the kitchen cooking someone should have noticed that there was a problem with my prawn toast.....never had anything like it before. Totally inedible and tougher than a Goodyear tyre. The rest of the...meal was ok...my curry was tasty good chicken and prawns but the beef was a bit tough. Chips are really good and crispy. Overall a bit poor"

"We decided to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the CafeMasala with 30 family and friends. Wow! Taraque and his team did us proud! I 'm not sure how but they managed to serve all 30 of us very quickly with starters, main meals and side dishes without anybody waiting for more than a few minutes. Great service but shouldnt be surprised as CafeMasala has consistently given us great service and excellent food quality for many years and is definitely our go to restaurant of choice. "I’ve been coming to this pub a few times in the past couple of years as my sort of local but have noticed the quality of food has deteriorated each time we come, esp when they’re busy at the bar. Their meals are not cheap and the food is now only ok. We ordered food the other night and sat in the pub for 3 hours and no food came...even though we were reassured our food was the next out of the kitchen ... others were served before us clearly. We had to get a refund and left very hungry and not impressed. I know it was a football night, but even so. The kitchen guy looked particularly stressed too, like he doesn’t really normally work there? It’s a child-friendly pub yet the barman was loud and using the F word loudly to customers he knows a lot , and with kids present. We will not be back and will find ourselves a new nice local pub."

"Have been ordering from Best Kebab for the past 5 years+.Appreciate they have now moved premises and changed the menu, however our past 3 experiences have been terrible.I think they have over complicated the menu, and the customer service received has been awful, our orders have been wrong on 2 out of the 3 occasions, and when called to simply advise them (not looking for a new order) the service over the phone was very un-professional.My personal opinion is, I don’t have an issue with them changing the menu but I believe they should have kept the ‘traditional kebabs’ always offered and just extended the menu.The Doner meat is now very fatty, and the chicken is not as tender as it used to be and is very dry.The rice that the kebabs now come on top of is terrible, there is no flavour and is basically white boiled rice.Not to mention the price!!!! We payed over £57 for 4 kebabs which is horrendous.A disappointment."

"I have ordered from here before and been pleased however this time none of us were happy with our meals. It was delivered 20 minutes late. Both the Bombay potatoes were in a watery thin sauce and had large pieces of potato that was raw in the middle. Both of our curries were also watery with no depth of flavour. I can only think that they have a different chef or it’s under new ownership. I will give them one more try another time and hope this was just a one off."

"What happened to the wonderful Woodland Cafe? It was in an amazing location, light, airy, well staffed, family-friendly and the food, especially weekend breakfast, was lovely. I used to visit several times a month. Now replaced by the Old Kitchen, sadly the total opposite. Drab, tightly packed with bad service. Been three times to give it the benefit of the doubt but food orders have been messed up every time and it's ultimately not worth the hassle. It's certainly not the go-to destination it once was and I regretfully won't be returning."
