"(Traducido por Google) ¡Este hotel absolutamente horrible! ¡NO TE ALOJES AQUÍ! REPITO NO TE QUEDES AQUÍ !! (Original) This hotel absolutely awful! DO NOT STAY HERE! There manager (short hair in pictures below) is rude talks back and blames their PAYING customers for a plumbing situation that we have no control of. Our two rooms overflowed and waste and sewage water was everywhere as well as the shower. Obviously a plumbing problem, she later started blaming us for vommitting all over the shower when we clearly did not and how can a shower and toilet overflow at the same time w waste and it's our fault for vomiting. She then later blamed us that we are americans and we put tampons in the european toilets and that's why it overflowed but our second room w my two brothers in it had a overflowing problem as well so i'm guess boys have their periods too? I also said i'm guessing you can't accommodate americans and she just kept repeating that it was our fault. There were zero signs saying we can not throw tampons down the toilet so not our faults but the hotels. There was zero help from the hotel they didn't clean up until we insisted. They wouldn't even give us another room or let's us freshen up before our departure. The manager just yelled at us with a rude attitude and kicked us out. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!! the restaurant also isn't great either the waiters did not get one order right and forgot 4 dishes but still charged us for it at the end. We also used the lobby bathrooms and spa bathrooms and my brothers said the urinal bubbles and when I used the bathroom the toilet was bubbling as well so it is clearly a plumbing system they do not want to be responsible for. DO NOT STAY HERE I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH ITS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND VERY OVERPRICED WITH ZERO SERVICE OR HELP!!!"

"Last week, during our stay in Chamonix, we tried Le Dru. We were never treated disrespectfully or humiliated until we visited this restaurant. We ordered a kids menu for our 5yo child, a buffet menu for my partner and a regular one for me. We started with drinks while waiting for our food (which was taking too long). My partner then had to go ask if she could go fill her plate with the starter from the buffet. She came back with it. She had a first bite and I went for some sauce, from her plate, to try with a piece of bread. Before even putting it in my mouth, there was the manager suddenly standing in front of us with a grumpy face and said with an incriminating tone: If you share that plate, you 'll have to pay for two buffet menus! We were too shocked we couldn 't digest the way we just got approached. We started arguing and saying that I was just trying to taste some sauce from her plate and that there was nothing wrong with that. Then he added some more degrading things such as I will even watch you, during your entire lunch, to make sure you are not sharing. and some nonsense like each one of you must finish her food on her own and leave nothing in her plate. At that point, I had to put an end to this craziness and leave that place. We asked for the bill and paid for what was on the table (the drinks and that starter) even though the plate was still full. I still can 't believe we had to endure such a treatment and that our son had to watch it all. And I had to make an effort not to let that experience ruin the rest of my day. I definitely don 't recommend this place and I would give it zero stars."

"2*? Next time I return I expect this perfection of fine dining to have garnered a third star.I travel in France as a native for work and to visit all my french friends so I've been to a large amount of touted restaurants from Paris to Michel Bras in the middle of nowhere near Laguiole. I have passed a number of weeks as a native and then taking time for resting and exploring. First I will say that speaking French usually gives me an advantage when it comes to most restaurants in the way we are seated and treated. That is France. When it comes to this restaurant, everyone is treated with the upmost perfection of service and a warm feeling of sensing that you are truly 'welcome'. The staff is second to none and in fact the next morning as they arrived and i was in the lobby, they all stopped with a smile and had a little chat with me. In the restaurant , they have managed to succeed at what a number of top restaurants in France do not subscribe too. They have found the perfect balance of a staff that is as professional in French Service as it gets but....with a mixture of warmth in little ways that continue through the entire evening. Bravo to the chef who obviously passed this style of pro. service without feeling stuffy nor'en point'. We felt very comfortable with an 'equipe merveilleux'. The dining room is lovely and calm with a terrific ambiance but not overdone.. no no...it is the amazing cuisine that one comes for at this restaurant. It is also nice that in a restaurant of this level since you are staying in a resort town..that you can dress casual chic without a jacket. The amuse bouche arrives as you sit down as a lovely young lady explains in detail what has gone into the chef's little surprise that evening. Then another amuse bouche comes as the most friendly yet a serious expert of wine brings you the wine menu. To be honest, this is a very formidable wine menu with some of the best you could fine in France. You could easily order a wine that would top the price for four people having the tasting menu! I told our sommelier that we wanted to try a moderately local wine of the Savoie as we had never in all our years tried one from this region not known for wine. He recommended a delicious local bottle of white wine that we simply loved and it was truly at the moderate end of the menu. Unlike others, I love the different breads of a region and i always tell the person who brings over the bread to not be surprised at how many times I'll be asking him to refill my plate. The bread were incredibly tasty with a grainy seeded, an olive based and the classic baguette...all made that day in the kitchen. Add to that the fresh Normandie butter (unsalted as the best places serve)...and i was a very happy diner already. We chose the menu that included an appetizer, main course, little extras in between courses, the amazing cheese board and the dessert and of course coffee or tea served with more mouth watering treats. My appetizer of a vegetable terrine surrounded by yellow mushrooms (not found easily in the U.S.) in a light sauce of a melange of vegetables and herbs with a touch of cream was one of the best appetizers I've ever experienced. We were then offered a bottle of fresh alpine water collected that day. The perfect time during the meal to have a cold glass of refreshing water that seemed to be taken directly from melted snow and brought to our table. Another amuse bouche and then the main course. My partner had a dish of lake trout caught that day in seasoned to perfection that was flaky, moist and just delicious. I had the Agneau (lamb) that came with the tastiest slice of meat and a side of chopped lamb made with exotic spices and in a casing. Both meals were served with grilled potatoes and apples topped with leeks...all grown on the property. Then the cheese plate. First, the server had no problem with describing the large number of cheeses to me in French and then in English to my partner. Pas de probleme. As I got piggy as I love strong savoie cheeses..the server stopped me and asked why I was not trying the local goat cheese topped with a touch of local honey. I told him that i was not a fan of goat cheese..at all! He insisted that I try a piece of this local goat cheese and that I would become a fan of Savoyard cheese from goats. Well...he was right. the flavor was amazing without the normal taste that keeps me away from this cheese. As a matter of fact, it was one of my favorite cheese s of the evening..and there were a lot of my favorites! He did come back to see if I liked it and he had a big smile when I showed him it was all gone on my plate. Ah..the desserts. We both had nougat sorbet served over a tart a framboise and it was unreal. We decided to take tea in the sitting room near the restaurant and out came to large pots of verveine smelling wonderful and a large plate of petit-fours that equaled a second dessert. We found room to finish each delicious piece and enjoyed the infusion of verveine. The staff kept their eye on us to see if we needed anything else and after fifteen minutes...we happily returned to our room in the chalet where we sat on the balcony and just at the gorgeous scenery 9what we could see) surround us. It will be an evening we will always remember. If in Chamonix or staying at the hotel, this restaurant must be tried. It lives up to its reputation....and more! Ca m'a fait beaucoup de grand plaisir."

"During our visit to Cafe Bluebird in Chamonix, we had the opportunity to experience it on three separate occasions. While the overall experience was pleasant, there were some aspects that could use improvement. On all occasions, our orders seemed to be consistently incorrect. Out of three coffees ordered, only two arrived each time, even when different people placed the orders. Additionally, when requesting menu replacements like no bread or no sausage due to dietary preferences or gluten avoidance, the staff assured us it wouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately, these requests were not accommodated. As for the food, it presented a mix of experiences. The sausage was consistently undercooked, which was disappointing. However, the hash brown was delightfully crispy and flavorful. The vegetarian breakfast wrap stood out as a highlight, but we noticed that it wasn't heated thoroughly enough, resulting in a cold center and a warm exterior. I suppose it’s important to make sure things like meat and wraps which are chilled are heated to an optimal temperature for food hygiene purposes. Nevertheless, it's essential to note the positive aspects of the cafe. Situated in a serene and pleasant area of Chamonix, the ambiance was enjoyable. The staff members were amiable, and the tables were well-maintained and abundant, providing a comfortable dining environment. While there is room for improvement in some areas, Cafe Bluebird has the potential to elevate its offerings and create an even more enjoyable dining experience for its patrons.

"As mentioned in other low rated reviews reservations do not reserve a table outside on the deck with the beautiful view, but rather inside in the cramped dining area. In order to get to the restaurant you must purchase a gondola ticket. It was 85 euros for my wife and me. They credit 40 euros towards your bill. It seems reasonable especially after looking at the wonderful photos of the gorgeous views. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and were told we could not sit outside. There was a long line of skiers waiting to be seated. We were never told we could wait for an outdoor seat, but rather to sit down inside. Due to the language barrier we showed her our email of the reservation confirmation and again was promptly told no outside seating. We sat inside and waited 25 minutes to be greeted (if you want to call it that as we had to finally ask the waitress if we could order drinks) and for drink orders to be taken. During that time a family of 6 was seated next to us, order taken and soup served. Our service was so bad it seemed they were purposely ignoring us. Our waitress walked by our table at least a half dozen times and refused to make eye contact. I couldn’t figure out if they were giving preferential treatment to skiiers (we were in street clothes) or ignoring us because we were American. My wife and I are nearing 40 and it has been a long time since we’ve experienced service this bad. We would have left if we didn’t have the 40 euro credit to redeem and had just spent the last hour and a half waiting in the line for tickets on the gondolas and riding the 2 gondolas to the top of the mountain). The soup my wife ordered was good and the beer was tasty and cold. It’s unfortunate we were not welcome in the restaurant. We enjoyed the view and for better or worse it’s an experience we will never forget."

"The food was pretty decent here but the rest of the experience was like something out of a Monty Python skit lampooning French waiters. After waiting for quite a while for any attention, the waiter arrived to take our order. With each persons order his eye rolls became more expressive (btw the pizzas we ordered as appetizers were delicious as were the salades and veal dishes) so much so that we felt like laughing at each order. Then we order wine asking for a specific Italian white which the waiter then insisted was not a white and in any event they did not have that wine and the only white they had was a Pinot Gris. We then pointed to the list and asked for a Chardonnay and he said fine with a harrumph. We ordered a specific red we as well. The wines arrived and were promptly opened even though the red was not the wine we ordered. We drank it anyway. The pizzas came as did the salads and we waited for the entrees. The waiter returned (before the entrees) and said desert or are you ready for the check. We meekly suggested that our entrees had not arrived at which he sneered at us and we then said by the way we would like another red the one we originally ordered. He turned without any acknowledgment. The entrees arrived. No wine. We asked his colleague if we could get the aforementioned wine. 5 minutes later our waiter shows up with two bottle of JJ red which he then literally tosses in front of me onto the table (luckily they did not break) and says sir which one do you want!? Neither one was the one we wanted off the list. We said thank you we will take that one opened it and walked away. As it turned out the wines were much much cheaper than the one we had tried to order. We were a group of 5 Americans in a French resort restaurant who were trying to not be ugly Americans. Perhaps we did not succeed but the service was truly horrible! Be warned!"
