"We are fortunate to have UK board members, who are also members at George. This visit was our second, and a lovely one, it was. We gathered for small bites, and drinks, before a larger, more formal Dinner, so kept it rather light this time (full Dinner on previous visit). We had the Steak Tartare for the table, and a bottle of Montrachet. I know, a white wine with Beef, but it WAS a “big” white wine, and one board member has issues with many reds. The Steak Tartare was excellent, and so very flavorful. I started to say it was “cooked to perfection,” as a joke, but decided that it was anything BUT a joke. The spices actually benefitted from the Montrachet, and might have been completely lost, with a bigger red wine. We were seated at a spacious 4-top, and had room to spread a few pieces of paperwork out. The venue is very quiet, even when it was filling up, and we were able to conduct a bit of business, over the Beef and the wine. We had an excellent prelude to our Dinner, and got many things accomplished, prior to heading to a more noisy setting. Our service was excellent, and the Ginger Beer, that one member ordered, was said to be great, as well. We hope to return, and for the full meal, as on our first visit. We are so fortunate to have business associates with great memberships."
