"Da Mauro was recommend to us by a local when the place we wanted to eat was not serving lunch. Located on the main square in or at the Hotel Astoria, this is a pleasant unassuming room. The wait staff was friendly and helpful no English. There is a very reasonable fixed price lunch menu (15 euros) or alla carte. We had a risotto made with nebbiola wine and a rare type of toma cheese. It is unique and won't serve everyone's palate, but we like it. I tried the maialino which had an insipid sauce. My friend had the fillet of local beef which while very lean was tender and tasty I'd recommend that. Both came with overcooked vegetables. There was a pretty good wine menu with a surprising number of 1/2 bottles; though not was well priced as the food .... We shared a dessert of bonet (a local chocolate pudding) with panna cotta in a perfect caramelized sauce. The bonet was as good as I've had."
