"A restaurant can hardly be more beautiful. At the edge of the historic Georgengarten in the castle of the same name, the restaurant and the Cafè Am Georgengarten are located in an outbuilding of the Orangery. So you should always take time for a walk before or after the visit. Parking is limited, although unfortunately paid, right outside the door. If you want to take a few steps, the four-wheeled friend of the nearby animal park is free. The house has already seen various guards. Despite the dream situation, no concept could be maintained. When entering the guest room we were somewhat irritated. All tables empty, a single support with keyboard and numerous devices only at the degradation. But the house was open, so one of the free tables was chosen. A short stop at the cake counter gave a look at the appetizing cake offer. It looked delicious. The guest room is not inspiring. An interior architect would have done well here. Just the old pictures of the park. In particular, the local expert can be amazed at how everything looked long ago. The frames of the pictures then seem somewhat cheap. Walls and ceilings are painted in a light brown tone. The wildly distributed wardrobe hooks are also not a real eye-catcher. Tables and chairs work as desired. No cosiness has come with us. Too bad about the nice guest room. The map offers classic German cuisine, some finer dishes, but also deft. The appetizers range from 'small salad plate with Vinaigrette' to 'brant poultry liver with onions and toast'. The good old Soljanka was also reserved. On your own winter card you will find 'Barberieentenbrust with apple-red cabbage and potatoes', 'Wildgulasch with forest mushrooms' or 'Hungarian goose breast with green cabbage'. The vet has a look. The ordered drinks, a water (2 €, a cherry juice (2 € and a Dornfeld (0.2; 5.90) came fast and were good. The main dishes, 'Heilbuttfilet with mustard cream sauce, parsley potatoes and small salad ' (9,90 and the 'spicked roasts with pear and cranberry' (12,90) were quite delicious. But everything had such a touch of housewife kitchen. In a restaurant in this local and price category, I expect a certain originality or at least a special fineness in handling the components and in alignment with the plates. A huge fringe leaf with an oversized hard piece of herbal butter on top of a fish dish with sauce is incomprehensible to me. The specified salad was more than boring. The components quite fresh and crunchy, but the combination arbitrary, all stacked on a stack, the Vinaigrette very fad. The pear was completely raw. Cooked in an aromatic brew, it would have better inserted into the warm and defensive plate. Too bad. The tempting cake counter at the entrance didn't get us out of the head. So another piece of chocolate cake (2.30 ordered). It is very disappointed by our great regret. I'm sure the work was mixed again. The floor is puffed and crumbled, the cream with a mouth feels like solid spray cream. Here it was clearly saved from eggs, butter and cream, all that a cake can make so wonderfully full-bodied. Can! During our visit there were no high-air flights in the Culinary region, and annoying noise scene was constantly provided. Only the disassembly of the music system of the soloist, along with loud conversations with the staff, then chairs were moved, tables were covered. Later we enjoyed the acoustics of various cleaning work. It is a pleasure when the kitchen is scrubbed, but not when the guests sit in the ears. You feel urged to go. Neither the atmosphere nor the kitchen lead to a second visit."
