"I had been eager to visit this restaurant for some time due to the positive reviews. The pub has been nicely renovated and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the food did not live up to our expectations. The Albondigas starter was tasty, but the sharing Camembert starter was lukewarm and it was clear that a ripe one had not been used as it did not melt. We expressed our disappointment to the staff. As for main courses, one person in our group had the delicious salmon, while the venison pies were decent and the king prawn linguini was lukewarm. We once again shared our disappointment with the staff, as we believe honest feedback is important for the kitchen. They offered to replace the pasta, but we declined as it would have meant eating separately from the rest of the group and it was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. The restaurant seemed quiet for a Saturday evening, and we regretted not opting for Sunday lunch, as that is when the good reviews seem to come from. Would we come back? I don't think so, but I hope we just caught them on an off day."
