"Jaaa, a place right by the water, with the best location! The excursion steamers keep up the door and constantly bring a swing to new guests.... There is even a small boat ridge, so that guest sailors can lock up. That's exactly what we wanted to test! For so far we knew the place only from the distance or from the water side. Whenever the wind drove us to the showhouse. Unfortunately we visited the place on a Saturday. On and around the lake a lot is going on (in season, many day trips and weekend tourists. Also in the end station was a lot of operation, too much for the young hopelessly overwhelmed service forces. This may have been impossible for specialists! A service with food was constantly running around and looking for the right guest. Travellers who wanted to go on with the ship complained in a row because they had already asked for the bill several times and the coming ship was already on the investor. (The ship goes to schedule! We observed a total of 2 pairs that went back after 15 20 minutes waiting time without order task. Others, like us, dared it anyway.... The weather was magnificent, a beautiful terrace and the view of our home area – unpaid. > We now sit out of <, said my skipper. And Skipper's word is law, at least on board; finally, we were served and could give up our order. I ordered a salad with champignons, extra without a meal, explicitly with vinegar/oil and without bread, because I may not wheat flour as much as dairy products; my skipper opted for fillet on toast, with 2 cold drinks. The operation recorded everything brav and disappeared in the guest room. From order to serving, an eternity passed and we tried to understand the operation... Apparently, the younger service personnel were only assigned to the operator, because the cash register was always the same older employee. Funny system, because in operation this is not to be understood for the guests. And if you want to pay 3 tables at the same time, the employee then has to pay for each single Bon, invoices possibly. still have to be split, it is no wonder the immutation comes up with the guests. In the neighboring table were half-full plates; I knew nothing good. In relation to the waiting period until we were served, our drinks came almost fast. Sometime.... the glasses drowned out, our food came. Was that our food? Carving with salad and mushrooms? I didn't order a carving. I didn't want any. The serviceman looked at me infidel. I repeated my order and I realized that this could take 1 2 cold drinks now. The skipper ate his lukewarm fillet and we knew we would never stop one of our sailor's table evenings! Then came my ordered food. Residues from Schmanddressing to isolated salad leaves. (see photos/red arrow There was something.... the chef thought. Exactly – vinegar/oil.... Super, how stupid is the guest actually held here? And if I'm not allowed to eat bread because of food intolerance, no panned mushrooms, right? Hallelujah – what a bad service! And talk out if the guest complains more legitimately, don't go! The crown was the ticket! Age Salto, mid-summer, VAT net and BAR 22,30€. But what did we eat? The note does not have a tax check."

"To take it forward: today we have paid twice as much as our visit to the Shan Dong in Kassel a few days ago, it has only tasted half as well, and yet hungry we drove back home. But all in turn. We use this holiday for a short trip to the Edersee. The refrigerator at home was full, and after our return we wanted to make some delicious at home. Because now a place in a restaurant was left for a short time, we didn't reckon. Nevertheless, we looked past the Fischerhütte, a restaurant that I would like to try out once, but as suspected, fully booked. So moved to another time. And so it went back. However, as we felt a little urge to get rid of the coffee of breakfast somewhere, we looked on the way to other ways of getting in. And so we came past the Waldhotel Dornröschenhöh. Stop, jump in and ask for a table for 2 people. Huch! Good, sweetheart freed from the car and back to the restaurant. Under Waldhotel I imagine something different. A hotel in the forest. No matter, a saying advertises with the good kitchen, and the menu also offers a range of delicious sounding dishes. The restaurant was well filled and we were led to the breakfast room where we found a table at the window next to the breakfast buffet. Today we were on the road, unlike otherwise quite late, it was already half 2, but also after us some guests arrived until the breakfast room was almost completely filled. I have no sense of ambience when I remember it. Mr Rach would probably have removed the entire 70s of Mobiliar. The greeting was friendly, and the order was quickly received. I couldn't decide again because a lot of dishes have addressed me. To try something else again, I chose the medallions from the stag back, even if I could not imagine anything under the swung late zle. My dearest chose Schnitzel Wiener Art and considered whether she should take the small portion but fortunately decided against it. I was already reckoning with a tormenting waiting time during the ruling operation, but that was not the case at all. It took a little, and then the salad came to the table. But not only the salad, but also the main dishes have already been served. I would have preferred the salad in advance, which would not only have shortened the waiting period. Well, that's not a dramatic mistake. The salads looked very appealing in their bowls. The Pommes to the Wiener Schnitzel looked delicious golden yellow for me, only noticed that the Schnitzel had very small dimensions. How'd the little portion look? On the question of how the fries would taste, it was said that I had already eaten better. And the scavenger a total of OK came from my wife. The deer medallions on swung late zle looked good, but the impression was that the late zle would be quite dry. It wasn't like that, but the taste was not mine. Much too salty and although the spring onions are visible but tastefully not present at all. The meat was good, but all in all, it was quite well seasoned and imparting the impression of lovelessness on both plates. In my opinion, Spätzle with sauce would have been much better suited to the Hirschmedaillons. The homemade herbal butter could not make up for this. For me also no butter but rather cream and tastefully in turn hardly perceptible. The salad, as good as he looked, so fade was too. The pepp was missing. Something bad. And the clou has never existed: hardly ever arrived at home, my loved one had to taste a bread because she still felt hungry. I'm similar, but I just wanted to process the fresh impressions and bring this review to paper. I'm going to duck asparagus in the pan and make my wife happy with it or look at it. Anyway, I look forward to it! Maybe we just got a bad day today. I wish the restaurant. A second time, however, I would not. There are too many other things to try out around the Edersee.
