"Schmuggler was suggested to us by the man who we rented our vacation apartment from. He said Schmuggler is a ‘must do’ because it is his favorite pub in Freilassing. Upon arriving we walked into a huge beer garden with many tables to choose from....The beer garden is spacious and one does not feel crowded with tables extremely close to one another. There are large trees spread throughout and hanging lights that are turned on once the sun goes down. The inside is a typical pub setting. There are wooden tables and chairs, a bar with a vast variety of drinks, a pool table and foosball table for some fun, and clean bathrooms. It is a cozy environment for a few beers on a night out. Most people seemed to be locals who were enjoying their time with close friends and family. We opened the drink menu and saw they have a large assortment of coffees, teas, and juices as well as beer, wine, and spirits. The food menu has a great breakfast selection, along with lunch and dinner consisting of innovative salads, pasta dishes, multiple pizzas, as well as a few house specialties. The prices are relatively inexpensive averaging around Euros. We ordered a pizza and a flumkuchen which were both tasty and satisfying. Looking around at the other tables we saw different plates of food all of which were good portion sizes and looked delicious. The atmosphere is what made our experience so enjoyable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Our drinks and food came in a timely manner. The people around us were having a great time and Schmuggler seems to be the local hang out spot. This could be considered a family restaurant as there were people young and old alike who were sharing meals and great moments together. This is not some place ‘special’ to go to for an extravagant dinner. This is a local pub/restaurant with good food and good prices. This is a very chill place to have breakfast or dinner and we will definitely visit again next time we are in Freilassing!"

"the pizzas of my friends were all good but my frutti di mare I would never order here again. the seafood is frozen, which the chef has also confirmed to me. by the sowing of these seafood during baking the pizza became generally quite watery. Moreover, not necessarily many were on the pizza. When I thought that I would want fresh seafood, e.g. whole muscheln and fresh scampi, he said, then the pizza costs 30 euro and nobody pays it. so if I want to have a pizza with fresh, tasty seafood I like to pay this 30 euro. or order the people with him and think: "today I like pizza frutti di mare, oh, costs only 9,70 euro, there will probably be frozen goods on it, delicious, I take." The service is also available to wish. outdoors, in addition to the normal beer garden, tables were still set up, these were all occupied. only bring extra tables nothing (except of course more guests = more turnover), if the service is not increased proportionally. after an hour approx. we only got our pizzas. our ordered salat insalate mista was even served when we had the pizzas already. after serving, no one can look at our table anymore, no wonder if everything is in order, no clean up after eating. At some point, someone looked into our direction so we could give a sign. then the chef came with the bill. well, then we don't order a dessert anymore. even now when cleaning up, there was no demand for everything to be in order, only when the chef said that he was supposed to pack the rest of my pizza, I came to appeal to the mere fruits. also there is neither a greeting bruschetta nor a likör or espresso."
