Steak Boutique

Steak Boutique

Bindergasse 1, 8010 Graz, Austria

Steak • Grill • Fleisch • Restaurants

"We stayed in the hotel which happens to be in the same building, so going to Steak Boutique was as easy as going downstairs without even going outside. That’s actually the least attractive feature of this place food and service is so great that I would easily walk there for 5 km and still be as happy after. First of all, the service is simply flawless. There were 2 extremely nice and helpful guys serving us, giving recommendations, asking about our preferences and what not. Wine was always added into our glasses when it was getting low. Secondly, the food was excellent. We took some scallops, t bone from Nebraska, wagyu from Miyazaki and some vegetables on a side. T bone was cooked as we ordered and it was very juicy and tasty. The only regret we had is that our lunch that day was a bit big, so we weren’t hungry enough to finish the steak. Wagyu was even better than t bone, which sounds impossible, really. But it’s quite specific beef, so not everyone likes it more than “regular” beef. We do, so it was heavenly good. Side dish was also a nice surprise. It’s hard to expect anything special when it comes to vegetables, but these were probably cooked in a wok, so were in Asian style which worked really well with the meat. And lastly, wines were great as well. We had 2 bottles because this is what adults do. And some Prosecco in the beginning to get in the mood. Before Graz, we were in Vienna (for the 4th time) for 5 days and I must say that Steak Boutique alone was worth the trip. Bill was around 350 EUR (without tips) which might sound a lot, but wagyu alone was almost 100 and 2 bottles of wine were 130. So if 2 people want to have some nice steak and either drink some simpler wine or not drink wine at all I’m sure that 120 140 EUR would be enough. Which is actually good value considering that steaks are never cheap and really good ones are not offered in each place you see. In Vienna, having some much simpler dishes would cost the same. In the end, I must say that Steak Boutique was one of the highlights of this 8 day trip. And it was the last dinner we had before leaving Austria, so a great end of the journey."

Osteria dei Sensi

Osteria dei Sensi

Am Ragnitzbach 26, 8010 Graz, Austria

Fisch • Eiscreme • Vegetarier • Italienisch

"since the takeover went strong uphill with the good old osteria dei sensi. out of unorganized chaos (here I refer to an older review from the year 2011, which I had already delivered at that time) became a beautiful italy with real secret tip potential and chance to an excellent score. With time and some visits, however, this high impression has unfortunately again been relativized. Although the dei sensi has far not fallen back into the circumstances of the last few years of the old owner, it is also of high quality and all-round satisfaction of our part no longer a trace. In our last visit, in the april 2017, everything went wrong, which could only go wrong: a pizza that was covered with rucola, as if it had been soaked through an oil bath. another pizza was not edible due to other circumstances. Moreover, as a bratkartoffel, yellow blocks were found as tasteless and also strange, the half I had to leave behind. The personal is striving: the waitress, who is almost always present, is always willing to testify to the specialities of the day, such as a memorable, tightly learned from school times, which sometimes contributes to the pleasure of some guests. :)Everything in all, the dei sensi is actually priced in order, considering that you get pizzas from 8€ and noodles from about 10€. However, if one considers the quality offered, it is quite clear that the pizzas would not have been worth 50% of the price to be paid during this visit (!). Since I have visited the dei sensi in the past very often, and that is exactly what I have left satisfied in the regular, I also want to let these visits be included, which I have not appreciated with my own assessment. my last (so that is both the most up-to-date and really the last for a longer time) has, however, urged me to make a corresponding review. Conclusion: if I had to evaluate my last visit alone, the total point number was 1/5 with a tendency of 2/5. so I can award 3/5 as a justified average score. I might come back in many months or years again in attempt to give the dei sensi another chance.-Value: 3 / 5This evaluation is composed of several visits and reflects my/our average assessment. the above-described last visit alone would have earned a (according to the above) correspondingly poorer evaluation.Comment for evaluation: a welcoming dining garden in summer beautifully filled map with Italian specialties daily map with special tasty quiet, loose atmosphere motivated personal waiting times with sometimes longer-partly questionable pizza recipes- kartoffel not to be sold as such!"

Lindenwirt

Lindenwirt

Peter-Rosegger-Strasse 125 | 8052, Graz 8052, Austria

Bier • Suppe • Kaffee • Europäisch

"The Lindenwirt is one of the elegant restaurants located in the Graz' Westside. Here the dishes are delicious and you really enjoy them in this stylish and elegant interior and ambience. The staff is friendly and willing to help.I chose the Pariser Schnitzel (Parisian) with Salad which is a light chicken filet in an egg-mantle. It is not as heavy as the popular but breaded Wiener Schnitzel and so the Pariser Schnitzel represents a good light alternative. As for the soup I took a Leberknödelsuppe, which is a liver dumpling soup. One of the most popular and traditional Austrian soups. My company took the Vegetable Curry, which also was very delicious. For the desserts I took the Joghurtcreme-Torte (Yogurt Cream Tart), with lots of additional whipped cream and my company chose the Marillenpalatschinken (Austrian pancake filled with apricot marmalade). Actually it was a mixture: One pancake with strawberry marmalade, the other with apricot marmalade. Usually it is an either or, but here at the Lindenwirt they are more flexible. All the desserts were super-delicious and very fluffy. We had it together with Cappuccino and Verlängerter Coffee.Since the Lindenwirt is quite popular, I would recommend to better reserve a table in advance. Here you have Austrian fine-dining therefore the prices are accordingly. But for your money you get delicious food of good quality in a stylish ambience. With Love!Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann"
