"My husband and I booked for valentines evening usually a recipe for disaster not so at Origins. We arrived a little early and were greeted at the door and shown to a sofa were we enjoyed a cocktail until our table became available. Once shown to our table we found it difficult to make a choice as there were many nice things on the menu however having made our choices were not disappointed....our starter of the shared meat/cheese platter and my scallopini was delicious. We could not fault the service, food or ambience of Origins so much so that I’ve booked a ‘girly’ birthday lunch there. What a welcome addition to Great Missenden."

"Went to our first 'Curry Club ' at the Gate. The food was exceptional, and portions were very generous. There was live entertainment between mains and dessert, which was fantastic. The belly dancer was so talented and engaging with the audience, and those brave enough to join her were welcomed. It was a really fun night, and I would definitely be coming back. "Visited with my friend and her daughter, as a last minute booking. absolutely nothing to complain about whatsoever, the staff were attentive and incredibly friendly, which set a very good tone for the evening. All I can say is the food was just sublime, light, fragrant, flavourful, and the portion sizes were just right. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. This one will be remembered for a long time to come, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you for a really great experience."

"We were made to feel very welcome as we arrived at 2:50pm....service of food finishes at 3pm. We were not rushed at all and the food that we ordered was excellent one of the best fish pies I have ever had. We will definitely be returning... Highly recommend this cosy little pub either before or after a walk in the local countryside, or a visit to the Roald Dahl museum with children."

"The chef created a *fabulous* buffet for our group, which included vegetarians, vegans, gluten free and non veggies. The vegetarian etc. part of the buffet was amazing! Lots of different flavours, textures and colours. Even the us non veggies tucked in. The waitress said the chef had got all excited at being asked to create a buffet that suited us all and it really showed."

"I booked a table in the outdoor tipi months in advance, specifically as we were dining with our young children in tow and needed some extra space. On arrival staff couldn't retrieve the full booking and the system had apparently randomly allocated us an indoor table. These things happen, but instead of resolving this quickly and smoothly by giving us a table (which we could clearly see was free and ready) in the tipi, staff insisted that was reserved for people who had yet to arrive and may or may not have wanted a table in the tipi. We tried to sit inside but it was simply too cramped, by which time there were even more free tables in the tipi. Eventually we insisted they find us space outside and they did but the whole thing took the best part of 20 minutes and spoiled what was intended to be a special occasion. Thereafter the food itself was very good and the service was reasonable although attentiveness tailed off again towards the end of the meal. A shame because we'd heard really good things but I don't think we'll hurry back."

"We have just celebrated our 60th Birthday with a party at the Peterley Manor Farm Barn Kitchen. The whole affair was organised for us by Pippa and her team, who were extremely efficient, well organised and had thought of everything. The planning in advance, the preparations on the day, the thoughtful little touches were all great, and our guests were very complimentary. The food, drinks and overall service were very professional and we were able to enjoy the party without having to worry. We had a wonderful evening, and if you are considering a top-notch party venue, then this is an excellent choice."
