"I've been going to the walter hotel restaurant for over twenty years, especially for their beautiful rösti . Usually it's a beautiful large plate with a big I'm my big part. this time it was less than the size of a dessert plate and her. they can see my astonishment as I am not a tourist who can be deceived, remember over twenty years! the plate consisted of a very small amount, which looked like a very old, slightly gray slightly burnt rösti. the waiter must be noticed how ridiculous the portion size was that he offered to bring a little more I mean, not larger than the size of a fried egg than additional part, but at least this time you could say that it cooked golden and fresh as we know. what annoys me, how the people think that they are literally pancake size dark looking left over rösti and with him away, need another tourist, or is it!!! Maybe it's a new cook that knows but after ordering a vegan salats and calling extra in front of the hand and said that the cook was just me at the arrival consciously laughing, I was having a cook with a we are food lovers, we know when we are serving something that is not of quality. still, when they finally get their act together and stop playing with the customer, they actually make one of the best rösti in the city. By the way they may ask why I don't complain, private reasons, but now I can review in the hope that others don't have the same experience as we have, they are actually a great place on the way and still one of our favorite, just fed with restaurants that think the customer knows nothing. by the way, the waiters were all very friendly and friendly."

"An optically attractive small space in a relatively powerful hotel, Hilty Stubli seems to suffer from a confusion of purpose. The hotel has a much larger dining room nearby, which is more neutrally decorated, while this adjoining room is designed to have a traditional style chalet look, but the menus are (we believe) the same. This Swiss room has a menu with a very wide selection of options as well as a completely separate pan Asian restaurant that will be handed over to you with the main menu. This Asian menu has small selection of Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, etc. Food that creates a confusion with the theme of the room decoration. Is this a restaurant that specializes in excellent Swiss cuisine or a Swiss-looking restaurant that strolls in every variety of dishes? That said the quality of the food we had was pretty good. First, the ingredients used were of good quality, the presentation of the dishes was thoughtful and the service was professional and yet friendly (although they all ran over quite vivid). Above all, how was the taste? One of us had the homemade pasta with local cheese, friend onions and small potatoes thinking fantasy Mac and cheese and it was fantastic. Very tastefully and appetizingly presented, it also came with a side dish of seasoned apple slices, which seemed a strange pairing, but combined with the pasta to create a unique taste. Very recommended. The other one of us had a cheese fondue that was appropriate. Served with traditional steamed potatoes and bread, it lacked taste (too fair, this was the mild version unlike the spicy version, but the cheese itself should have a remarkable taste). A solid fondue, but no reason to come to this restaurant. We looked at the other dishes from the kitchen, and they looked routinely of high quality, including, yes, even those from place Asian. These, like the courts we had, were also all generous size, so filling. Also note that the serving time was slow, what the menu itself lets you know in advance, they notice that everything is done only when the order is submitted, and so give yourself time to enjoy a drink while waiting for food. So the summary would be that this is a solid restaurant with a menu with something for everyone, but a confusing mix of Swiss and not Swiss."
