"From the time of the owner in Höhr-Grenzhausen I was still in good memory. When I accidentally learned that he drove the Pegasos in Hachenburg, there was a Sunday trip to lunch. The restaurant is beautifully located near the old town and offers a shaded outdoor kitchen and nearby parking facilities (carmat ticket). Operation Although we were quite early, many places were occupied or reserved. It took a while until an operation appeared and gave us a free table. Drinks and appetizers came quite fast, We had to wait for the main course and the bill for a long time. Food The appetizer Tiropitakia was a bit dry despite the cheese filling. The most important occasion of the visit, the Gyros Metaxa pan, but a disappointment: partly dry pieces of meat in a barely spiced sauce, the frites without salt, only the salad was reasonable. The 2nd class was the overcrowded gyros and a little better. Was the cook not concentrated by the initial rain? However, he left the rest of the staff completely untouched and the upholstery of outdoor management will probably have had a week holiday. The map is very extensive and can be viewed in advance on the website. The calculation makes annoying feelings, because the Gyros Metaxa dish is offered from Monday to Friday, also with salad and frit, for a little more than half of the normal price (7€ instead of 13.50 €). The ambience of outdoor management through planks and trees in summer with sun surely great. The guest rooms offer a modern, pleasant ambience."

"without prior notice we searched for the local in the probably oldest stone gas house in Germany (own statement) and took place in a beautiful weather in the small beer garden. it took very long until the service came, apologised with a large group that had reserved. the delightful little menu offered various burgers, steaks and schnitzel, salate, fish. we chose both the "schnitzel zum krone", and the delicious beer of the Hachenburger brewery, because this is local at the same time brewery. after a reasonable waiting time came a teller with two prunes baked in the pan, pruned carvings from the pork back, with Dutch, thick pommes frites, very nice served in a small friteusen basket with backpaper, with fresh bratkartoffels with speck and swirling, a bowl with mixed vegetables. the specially ordered sauce with mushrooms and pepper grains (I don't like it when the sauce is poured over the carving, the panade immediately softens up) was delicious. the scavengers of a local metzgerei. everything was plentiful and tasty. pommes and bratkartoffeln fresh and crispy. whether mixed vegetables from a lot of barcelain, brokkoli, mouths, aubergines and zucchini fit to the carving, is taste. all at the price of 13.90. there's nix to mecker. the service was friendly, somewhat unconventional, but positiw unconventional. the chef might set a service power more, then you don't have to wait so long for the service. at a long waiting time, you might be a bit brot and a bit rich, just as small excitement. If we're in the opposite, we'll visit this locally."
