"The menu had plenty to offer, and to our surprise, the service was actually very quick. The portion sizes were generous, too. I ordered the apple-ham and chicken salad, which was delicious and a great value at £13. There were many other tempting options, including stuffed peppers, homemade coleslaw, and a crispy mixed salad.
Others in our party had burgers, which were impressive in size; there was also a vegan option available. The lamb dish was particularly nice, served with a vibrant, zesty orange and parsnip velouté.
The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our meal outside in the lovely covered area under a grape pergola, surrounded by a charming beer garden filled with cosmos and rudbeckia flowers. There was even a stream at the end of the garden where they keep a crocodile!"
