"Oh my goodness! I have loved beer for most of my life, but I have never tasted anything as wonderful as the beer they served us in the Homburger Brauhaus! I could not rate this place as anything less than excellent, because the beer was so fantastic! How I wish I lived closer and could eat there (which is to say, "drink there") on a regular basis! We were looking for this Brauhaus, because of its top rating on Tripadvisor. When we spotted it, up a flight of circular stairs from the sidewalk, we were concerned that it might not be the right place - but, fortunately for us, it was! We were there late for lunch, around 2:00 p.m., but the outside, umbrella-shaded deck was quite full, and the waitress was rushing around, trying to keep everyone happy, nonetheless managing to be delightful and amusing. We grabbed her in flight to give her our orders, and she returned in an amazingly short time with our 2 large steins of their unfiltered, unbelievably good beer. She could have served me anything after that and I would have been happy with it! I took the wonderfully inexpensive special of the day, which was exactly what I felt like having: fish, sauce, and German potato salad. My husband had wurst (6 of them!) with some kind of sauce on a mountain of delicious sauerkraut (I know this, because I stole some). For dessert we both had apple strudel. Mine was plain, my husband had his with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The strudel was good, but it was not the wonderfully flaky strudel that we both remember from our childhoods, lo those many years ago. Nonetheless, when people ask me what the highlight of our trip was, without hesitation I tell them that it was the beer we had at the Homburger Brauhaus."

"About 2 years ago, I became aware of this restaurant in the Schwarzenbach district. The Italian cuisine offered me interested and I noticed the restaurant with the not overloaded fine menu. Just off the B423, the restaurant is easy to find. Private parking is available or can be found nearby. After our walk around the Ohmbachstausee, which is very water-poor this day, we decided to go somewhere for dinner. Somewhere? Somehow, I remembered Nicos. After a short call, our table was reserved for a very friendly gentleman. A parking lot at the restaurant was still free for us. Few steps are to be overcome at the entrance to the restaurant. Entrance We were warmly welcomed by a young woman. As the boss turned out during the evening. Your husband, chief of the kitchen. She accompanied us to a very nicely covered table in the cultivated conservatory. So the house looks so sober from the busy federal road, so surprised we were in the view of the beautiful protected garden area. This one was still in early sleep. In the summer it is certainly a dream to eat out here. The maps were handed by a gentleman and presented the current slate table. A little later, the boss was with us and noted our drinks. 1 Pellegrino mineral water, 0.75 l € 6.00 and 1 Aperol splash € 5,00 were served quickly. Our dishes picked up the very guest-oriented boss himself and proved very good kitchen knowledge and attention. Our appetizers: For my husband: bovine carpaccio € 16,00. At the appetizers there were my beloved field salad, but with unloved bacon. Another appetizer with scallops. No problem for me from this to crawl field salad with mussels € 18,00. Yes, the sermon looked good. Accompanied by fresh crispy baguette. Fresh bread The Carpaccio very finely marinated. In addition, a very nice fresh salad bouquet and thin cheese plan. This was a very successful appetizer. I also liked my appetizer. A lush salad plate with impeccable field salad, chicory, cucumber and tomatoes. A very pleasant balsamicodressing with fine acidity. With 5 glassy roasted scallops, whose fine nut aroma convinced, the price went absolutely fine. When ordering the main dishes, I asked the boss whether the pasta is prepared with cream. She complained and I only noticed that I could just take a lactase tablet and serve the dish as usual. So for me: Tagliatelle with truffle € 16,00. 1 Alsace Riesling € 5,30 0.2 l. My husband chose: tuna from the grill € 25,00. 1 Grauburgunder € 6.50 0.2 l. In the meantime, the restaurant had filled very well. We were lucky to have got another table. Again and again meals were picked up by guests. The waiting period for our main dishes was still suitable and not too long. Again, it was very pleasing for us. The chief served my Tagliatelle with the hint that her husband prepared her lactose-free. Her daughter is also lactose-intolerant and her husband liked to take this into account for me. Can you feel welcome as a new guest? Hardly! Tagliatelle with truffle And I was just happy about great, perfectly truffled pasta! Neither pasta, nor finely chopped truffles and cured cheese were saved. All right. My grandmother prophesied me decades ago: “The noodles come out to the ears at some point!” I still have to work on this, hasn't happened yet. The bird fish shot my husband's court! Grilled tuna with vegetables The tuna was perfectly fried inside still raw. An incredibly diverse vegetable supplement – all at the point! Salt potatoes, carrots, asparagus, zucchini, Kohlrabi, radish, black radish, rucola, blood beet. The very discreet wort underlined the natural aromas of high quality ingredients. A sweet potato chip for the crisp! The colourful plate made me (almost) a little jealous. And my husband? Showed on the full side of the enjoyment and simply tasted it. Not a single point of criticism! Whatever I didn't expect. A restaurant visit that was fun in every way and certainly, despite the distance, does not get forgotten. Very customer-oriented and flexible. We will be happy to come back, especially this summer in the beautiful garden! The adoption was very warm. And I almost forgot: this great kitchen didn't offer us Nico. Mr. Shandrakumar and his wife took over the restaurant a few years ago and continued it under the original name. Mr. Shandrakumar worked for many years in this restaurant until the takeover. If I've been careful, the family comes from South Asia Sri Lanka."
