"We made a reservation for Sunday lunch on Wednesday, but they were only able to accommodate us at noon due to our party of 7, which was fine as we had young children aged six and two. The staff greeted us warmly, were very accommodating, and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable and friendly, and it was our first visit so we weren't sure what to expect. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and well presented. We were celebrating four birthdays in our group so we brought our own cake, which the restaurant was happy to serve with plates and a sharp knife. We also enjoyed three servings of mixed ice cream with the cake. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone. x"

"Visited last night for a family meal. We all had 3 courses and everything was absolutely spot on. From the moment that we walked in the staff were friendly and attentive. The place was nicely busy but we were still offered a choice of tables. Service was swift and there was a lovely atmosphere. The waitress replenished our water jug immediately without our need to ask a very nice touch and all the food was exactly right. Nothing to criticise at all timing, friendliness, efficiency, quality of food all brilliant. Job well done. Thank you."

"What a transformation-new owners are amazing, food delicious and plenty of it. Have been here a few times over the last few years but it seemed to have gone downhill particularly on portion sizes and taste so had not used recently. We took my Mum out for her birthday as a last minute surprise and over ordered as the previous visit had left us a bit hungry. Not anymore we had to bring some home! The portion sizes are big so go hungry especially when you have the buffet. The new owners are so friendly and attentive without being overbearing and could not do enough for our table. Mum is a slow eater and there was no hurrying along or uncomfortable clearing away and we were offered a free spirit as a special birthday treat. Sadly we were driving but Mum obliged. The food tasted fresh and the chap explained that everything is freshly cooked with no pre-cooked microwave meals and you can tell as the flavours were so good. We had the full works, starter, main side dish and rice plus coffee for £12.95pp what a bargain. If you've not been for a while give it another try you'll not be disappointed. 5 stars all the way and good luck to the new owners they deserve it."

"..... then this place isn 't for you. I was craving chip shop chips so popped in around 5:20 after work. Absolutely empty that was perhaps my first mistake... I 've seen them cueing out the door at other chippies in the town. The service was excellent I must say as the only customer in there I was given full attention. Seeing what I thought was an appealing selection of freshly fried food in the cabinet I opted for battered sausage chips. Thankfully I didn 't fall for the 'medium or large ' chip offer and stayed medium. £4.80 was reasonable, until I was told they don 't accept card, unless over £10! Seriously? I nearly walked out but my months of craving overtook me. The chips I have to say were reasonable. Reasonable portion and a reasonable lukewarm heat. Both would have been better if there was more of it!! The sausage. Well. I think it was left over from last night and possibly microwaved and put in the heat cabinet. The batter was chewy cold. No where near hot and crispy like you 'd expect. Most of that went in the bin. Must admit this place is getting a reputation for being substandard and I was warned against it.... belly before judgement in my case and will avoid in the future."
