"“Asia Wok” is located in a hall on the exhibition grounds of Klagenfurt. Apart from the separation of the smokers’ area, this large hall is not subdivided and therefore this restaurant resembles a cafeteria of a university. Along with the bare wooden tables, a poor...atmosphere ensues. There was only a single menu per table. Our table of eight seats was no exception to this rule. Although we struggled to share the only menu when the waiter arrived, he did not provide us with a further menu. Maybe that they are short of menus since the one at our disposal had already been “refurbished” by several pieces of adhesive tape, but was in shabby condition nonetheless. Some prices on it had even been corrected by pen. Although half of the seats were empty on this Sunday at lunchtime, it took extremely long until we received our beverages. While the bento box arrived within a reasonable time, the second main course ordered failed to be served. When we reminded the staff of the overdue dish, they denied having forgotten it. This main course arrived several minutes later and seemed to have been prepared in a hurry: Some vegetables were almost uncooked. Apart from that, the food was quite good, but nothing special. We got the impression that they are not used to people ordering dishes from the menu because most guests choose the buffet option. If one takes the poor atmosphere and service into account eating at “Asia Wok” is not really cheap. We recommend this restaurant to people who want to have lunch between Monday and Saturday. On these days, the buffet option is priced only 7.50 euros at Midday, which can be considered a bargain, in particular for those who are very hungry and may therefore benefit most from such an all-you-can-eat model."

"The first impression of this restaurant was mixed. On the one hand it is nicely furnished in a rustic, somewhat outdated style, on the other the strong kitchen smell in the restaurant was repulsive. The latter fact was astonishing given that the restaurant was almost empty toward the end of lunchtime. The reason for the smell became obvious immediately: The door to the kitchen stood permanently wide open. Thus, from almost any table one had a rather unappealing view into the kitchen. The menu offered the usual choice of pizza, past, fish and alike as in most Italian style restaurants. The majority of the dishes were very reasonably priced. A good feature of Agli Amici is that in addition to the permanent menu items it offers also some dishes of the day. The physical appearance of the menu was a turn off. It was sticky and warped and looked as if it had already been used for several years. The only member of staff I had to do with was a very friendly woman of a certain age, probably the proprietor's wife. Though my lunch had to be freshly prepared it arrived swiftly. It was not a culinary sensation, but an ordinary dish of decent taste. Ristorante Pizzeria Agli Amici is run by an Austrian couple, not by Italians. Their permanent bickering, albeit in a low voice, created a discomforting tension that was clearly felt. All summed up, Agli Amici is not a high-class genuine Italian restaurant, but rather the type of “pizzeria round the corner” of which there are so many."
