"Santa Monica has a good location by Le Raincy-Villemomble railway station. We had not returned there since its renovation 2 years ago. From our table in front of the large bay window we enjoyed the pleasant view on busy and wooded Place du General de Gaulle. Spacious and bright room, simple decor with white walls, wooden floor and furniture, a nice large bar, a stone pizza oven. We had a look at the extensive menu of classic Italian dishes. Rather pricey. Our experienced waiter was efficient. We chose beef carpaccio, veal cutlet (too thin) alla Marsala with mushrooms and tortellini, tagliatelle with cream and smoked salmon (too thick), a tiramisu and a bottle of Sicilian rosé. In sum it was a mixed experience."
