"At the beginning of 2023, the Lübecker Altstadt again enjoyed my culinary experience with a new opening. However, when I read the name The Delicious, it came to me from my trips to dependency of the Hanseatic city on the Baltic Sea coast, the famous Travemünde. For a long time this place has made a good name as a secret tip of local gastronomy, which is not directly on the tourist mile along the coast. I also went back to the then very small bistro between the railway station and the beach and could make my positive impressions here as a small report. At the beginning of 2022 there were news from the Delicious. These concerned a significant increase in indoor supply through a movement in the open spaces at the Atlantic Hotel, which means that the restaurant is now also on the usual stream of tourists. This movement does not seem to have caused any damage to the claim. On the contrary, it enabled operators to increase even further in times of inflation. In November 2022 it was proud to announce that the majority of the Lübeck population in the real city of Trave would like to convince themselves of their offer and settle for this purpose at Koberg Platz. The delicious in Lübeck's old town fills the premises of a former Italian restaurant at Hotel Ko15 near one of the iconic 7 towers of the Hanseatic city. Even if the menu in its foundations does not deviate from that of the Travemünde tribal, I wanted to find out if one can maintain the grounded but handmade, good quality in relation to North German classics, which is just at its price. This would certainly give the owners a good answer to the many visitors of the old town and the residents here. A great advantage over the Travemünder Restaurant is the terrace separate from the large Koberg Square, which allows guests to enjoy the privacy with a comprehensive view from the Holy Spirit Hospital over the Jakobi Church. Entrance area with small stairs. After entry, unfortunately, a handful of steps must be taken which seems to exist at least no obvious alternative for persons affected by mobility. But it is welcomed by many flower pots and a wall painting. Guest room with reception table and bar. Paintings cut the walls. The interior in the old brick house has some parallels to the traditional restaurant, which in Travemünde is also funny in a hotel building. Already mentioned wall paintings also decorate the pure white walls of the guest room and seem to show Parisian bistro atmosphere, which should also be set up here with the guests. In addition to an optically lacquered receiving table on the opposite side, a rod, also with a small roof, forms the main element next to the numerous two tables. These are, fitting to the floor, held in black. A connection to the white wall base color and the white curtains in a successful way each forms a bright table runner. Interior with artificial fireplace. Flowers on the tables additionally loosen the ambience, while an artificial fireplace adds some eagle. According to the restaurant, up to 40 people have space in the “Costa”. It is also possible to use a séparée that was still closed at this lunchtime, but decorated in a similar style with another fireplace. The Séparée. On the chairs with leather it was easy to sit during the short time of my visit, which should certainly continue over a longer period than pleasant. All in all, I can only add good things about the design and quality of the interior, which may lead to lack of accessibility outside. While in Travemünde, among other things, the owner pair was gladly served personally, these tasks were put into the hands of an independent crew in the new second restaurant. Today a young man and a woman took care of the service at the guest. Already at the first contact after my entry with the question whether a place would be free for my spontaneous arrival, the Lord met me kindly and openly. The young woman later served my desired food in the same friendly way. In the meantime, both asked attentively about my satisfaction. I could also observe how tables were thoroughly cleaned and covered. The performance of the service was therefore qualitatively positive. As mentioned earlier, the menu is a 1:1 copy of the offer from the Travemünder Restaurant. This is also absolutely understandable, but one wants to offer its concept of the North German classics and grounded dishes in conjunction with a widespread Burger offer. This has already worked in the regular restaurant and should therefore also offer a great success for this restart. While the North German Sauerfleisch was still my choice during my first visit to Travemünde, I wanted to devote myself to another well-known classic of the Schleswig-Holstein cuisine, because with its Labskaus, every restaurant in this area that is oriented towards the ground must be measured. Announced with a garrison of “Danish” cucumbers and fried eggs, there was a price of 6.9 € to beech. About 15 minutes after my order, I could look forward to the blurred record image. “Housemade Labskaus to meet served with Danish cucumbers and a mirror egg”. To fried eggs and cucumbers, which were the typical acidic representatives on average for Danish hot dogs, some Lollo Rosso and Rotkrautsalat were suffocated with a creamy dressing. The latter was a French dressing, suitable for the French ambience, in well-known quality, where I cannot say whether it comes fresh from the tube or from my own kitchen. Notwithstanding this, the addition of herbs was qualitatively good and thus gave the dish a welcome sour freshness. Among the flawless fried eggs, in which the still vigilant egg yolk shined visually, the Labskaus “Brei” was often used as “unsightly”. The “norddeutsche Ragout” was published. This still hot steaming and strongly colored anger of red bete juice had to hide. The fleshiness of the minced meat used here, still pleasantly tolerated, came to bear. But even the small potato slices could not show themselves tastefully with a tasteful consistency, as well as small baked pieces of boiled red bete. The ratio of the classic components of the "North German Ragout" was really good for my feeling. Ultimately, this probable part offered exactly what I expect from a fresh homemade Labskaus without wanting to surprise with any twist. As the service owner confirmed to me, the herring as Matjes is, of course, also part of the great main food that was obviously omitted with this appetizer part (which is only to halve it for him, I also felt more like waste. Finally, I would like to summarize my thoughts on the Delicious Koberg in Lübeck's Old Town. The atmosphere in the restaurant is already positively reflected by the Parisian bistro atmosphere with the large but not excessive wall paintings. Due to the recent opening, there is no lack of quality and novelty of furniture, so that a complete score is justified here. The employees were also able to offer a good atmosphere in the service. Both combined kindness, attention and perfection as you wish. Finally, the culinary part left a very positive impression with the Labskaus I have made. The visual freshness was confirmed on the tongue and the typical taste that was hoped for with its combination of warm cord, light sweetness and suitable acidity. The 6.9 € required for this part were therefore chosen more than fair, in particular with regard to the quality, but also the size of the part and were thus gladly increased with tilting. As numerous as at the Travemünder Promenade, the crowd of the usual Touri reception restaurants in the Lübecker Altstadt is not up to date. That's why The Delicious in the Coastal District was a particularly recommended alternative for grounded cuisine with high-quality and preserved kitchen crafts. Nevertheless, after this first visit, I would also like to express a recommendation on the new dependence in the core city, as positive impressions remain in all areas of gastronomy. Here you will certainly not flash, but still with absolutely satisfied spirit and belly you will not regret the return."

"We wanted to eat a little bite after our long journey to Lübeck. In the city center, the restaurant fell down the hall, so it looked good from the outside. We were greeted more than friendly and accommodating by Suzan. Mega friendly and attentive, she even accompanied us to the place! The shop is very large and very stylish/modern. Tables and chairs chic and cozy.Lighting more bar moderate, purple darkened. Not good for Instagram photos;P A photo with flash music discreet and clubbig. All the top! Service: acceptance of the order quickly and friendly! There were many great and tasty sounding fillets. From the burger version to the good old liver sausage ala Opa : We had little hunger and ordered, Dr.Green avocado cream, tomatoes, sprouts and the princess box fresh cheese,It.Salami,Brie and sprouts When the mare arrived we were somewhat disappointed, a mare just belongs to me on a board/on wood it was relatively sweet on a corner plate. It's just a matter of taste. We found it a pity that on the breads were the same sprouts, Rucola would have better adapted to the princess box our personal opinion All this is discreet, absolutely indiscusable, on the other hand, that on the ladies toilet there was absolutely NO TOILETTENPAPIER. After letting the service staff tell us that it would be filled up immediately....also after a HALBEN STUNDE was NOT followed! So you could only use the toilet with your own handkerchiefs! : in addition, the service staff definitely did not stand in the stress it was ONLY 6 more guests in the house.... Waiting for the bread I also felt too long, for 4 cold sandwiches, 22min. Quality was very good! Delicious breads and good delicious, fresh covering! Great! At home, it's too little! I think price performance is happily over 6Euro for 2 breads with avocado cream with tomatoes and sprouts. A generous price calculation. Or really delicious! We would also come back if the toilets were to focus more on cleanliness and sufficient toilet paper. The service with Suzan really great and always a smile! Adoption with a smile and love words!"

Arsién Fusion Japanese Cuisine

"The Arsien is already a well-known and popular starting point in the truly non-alternative sushi landscape of the Lübeck city centre. Here the reputation of the highest quality Japanese or in particular Sushi offer made that its higher price should also be value. Even though many creative sushi variants are more in focus here than an authentic Japanese sushi, the restaurant still boasts a high appreciation of the product quality (of course especially in fish). In addition, many appreciate the quite relaxed and relaxed atmosphere that the restaurant has almost more than bar or Lounge categorized as a typical sushi restaurant. Cosy evenings among friends or lovers are more accurate here than a family event like a running sushi . Another sign of the apparent success was in December 2021 the fact that even a branch could be opened. Surprisingly, however, it was not attempted to push back the diverse Sushi competition in the old town, but opened far from the Hot Spot Lübecks in the southeasternly located Commercial Park Geniner Straße . This seemed to have been somewhat too far away from the shot, because just in the beginning of 2023 it was reported that this Arsien-Filiale was closed again. In 2022 there was another innovation concerning the location in the city centre. The premises of the first restaurant in the Mühlenstraße have become too small for popularity, so that the owner Arsen took advantage of the opportunity that resulted from the extensive renovation of the car park at Hüxterdamm. Before the renovation, this included several premises, which are already used by a large pool. Prominently located at the corner in the transition from Hüxterdamm Bridge to the popular Hüxstraße in July 2022 the opening of this new, large main restaurant, which was preceded by the closure of the original location in the Mühlenstraße. I had already tried the offer in the former main restaurant as a pick-up, with a quite convincing, though not outstanding impression. Therefore, for me personally, there was no objection to rehearsing the quality offered at the new site in order to find out whether or not one obtains quality awareness. has even increased and what innovations to discover. This was also possible directly on site. Outside view with the small terrace. The presentation of the new premises at Hüxterdamm is a first special feature. A type of maxi screen at the entrance should serve as a trailer, attracting attention and lowering the inhibition threshold for potential new guests. An outdoor area provides a terrace with a handful of seats, which appears to be less attractive to me on the large road of the transition from Hüxterdamm Bridge to Downtown Ring. But even without such an extension, the Arsien came out in the original restaurant in the Mühlenstraße, which was more suitable for the restaurant-bar fusion concept at the time. The operator again demonstrates his feeling and openness to new possibilities of awarding and publicising his projects, which he had previously advanced, especially on social media, for his restaurants. The front room with the receiving table. Also in the forecourt, the prominently decorated logo with leaf green should catch the guest with the Flamingo and draw into the jungle of the Arsien gastronomy, which he hopefully does not escape again indecision. In front of this is also a beautiful reception table with velvet cover. The guest room with the bar. This foretaste of modern design with green and turquoise shades then continues in the large guest room, where you enter through a door to the right in the reception room. A wing welcomes the guest right to the left of the entrance and makes it clear again that it should not go “cheap”. The fully glazed outer facade ensures a natural flooding of the entire room with daylight. In the centre, hanging plants emphasize the mentioned green thumbs of the interior. The ambience follows the style that has already been established in the small, now closed second restaurant in the Geniner Commercial Park. This also includes the large bar with the greenish slate of the counter and the copper-colored back, which, in addition to the beverage mix area, also represents a part of show kitchen with a sushi preparation showcase. Go to the basement to the toilets. On the left of the reception table you come to the lower area through a staircase, again stylishly equipped with jungle wallpaper. The toilets here are therefore apparently not accessible. The entire facility is definitely an eye-catcher, but at the same time not too overloaded or cheesy. You feel like you're in your own cosmos and experience a welcome and welcoming atmosphere. When I visited the restaurant in the early evening, a handful of staff were at the bar/show kitchen and two young ladies and a young gentleman in the guest room at the Werkeln. The greeting was immediately and frankly friendly, with a table being offered to me as a spontaneous solo guest. The menu also followed a glass of water going to the house with a cucumber disc as well as a welcome first refreshment. For the communication of my choice of food, my initiative was necessary, because the young ladies were too busy with their private conversation. In the further course, however, their attention focused again with increasing guest appearance, so that I did not have to draw attention to me in addition for payment. Even before, there was no question of satisfaction. Later, the owner Arsen was able to look at the bar and the guest room, but I had no contact with him. Rather, I was delighted with the openness of the chefs at the Sushi Victorian, who would like to answer a question about the food I tasted. Fortunately, the menu at this new main location, just like the size and equipment of the rooms, has been significantly expanded and now offers a welcome change with numerous new dishes. Here, I have to say a little negative that the handling of the clip provided with a rubber band was less liked, because in it also several loose leaves of the wine card and an additional card printed in a different format seemed more chaotic than structured and clear to me. The Sushi classics from Sashimi to Nigiri, small Maki to the mentioned creative roles are of course also represented here. The Sushi-Burger, already established in the Mühlenstraße, is now available in much more variants, ranging from Tuna, Teriyaki Chicken to vegan Tofu variants. But various salad and sushi bowl creations, as well as, for my personal pleasure, Ramen-Suppen, also belong together. Personally, of course, I stayed with the ramen, which I had already tried out at the two previously known starting points in the Lübeck city centre and had already presented here. Even though this was not bad there, both locals still left me in search of the Ramen optimism where there is nothing to blame for me personally. Therefore, for me it was also not a heavy decision to order the chicken ramen soup for 17 €. My expectations were very positive, as this new main restaurant certainly wants to boast with its quality claim, which alone already advertises the price level. Of course, a ramen soup would benefit as much as Sushi and Nigiri. In addition to the mentioned chicken ramen soup, a version with tofu for 16 € and a shrimp variant would have been available for 18 €. chicken rams soup’. A beautifully tranched piece of chicken breast was surrounded by one of the typical soy sauce-laid “Ramen eggs”, as well as some Pak Choi, carrot strips, rag onions and fresh green wild broccoli. The insert with the obligatory elongate noodles is still accessible under the chicken. The first spoon of the already well-tempered Miso broth produced something disappointment with me, because despite actually beautiful, light turbidity, it initially did not spread on the palate as a profound Umami pleasure. Unfortunately, this did not stand out from the variants I tried out in other Lübeck restaurants. The first bites of noodles and chickens were then positive. The former had a beautiful consistency and interestingly hearty aroma, as if they had deprived it of the inherently weaker brew. Even without broth, the poultry was not a dust-dry matter. On the photo you already see the unusually brownish skin of the chicken. My tongue confirmed that this was probably not cooked in the soup without pretreatment, because a surprising soy-saltiness intensified his fleshiness. This stood tastefully in matching synchronism with the optimally prepared ramen egg, that due to its marinization likewise has a brownish coloration of the outer protein. In the above-mentioned conversation with the chefs on the open sushi counter, they told me the question of the presumed marinization. A really nicely selected preparation step that actually gave this ramen soup a speciality that I still did not know. The freshness and tackiness of the vegetabil components also confirmed to me on the palate. After the first spoon of the Miso, I feared that the interplay of all the components was finally found to be delicious, with the marinated chicken and egg, above all, giving a Japanese cordiality, which was able to stand out from the level of Lübeck that I had previously tasted. In the end, I liked to sneak out the last drops of broth. From all these first impressions, this conclusion follows: Its good feeling for a relaxed and at the same time noble atmosphere has definitely been shown again in its new main restaurant. The very extravagant institution catches the guest and remains positive in memory, even if everything is lifted more than grounded (but what it wants, too). The service by the employees present also remains positive in my mind as a whole, as the initially feared lack of attention ultimately outweighed unconfirmed and facing kindness. Last but not least, the chicken ramen soup, which I have made, gave the most beautiful positive surprise. The team of kitchens proved to me that at the end the interaction of all components is the taste experience. At the beginning, a still weakly acting Miso experienced surprising gains through the further main components of the insert and thus gave me a clear leader in my personal Lübecker-Ramen ranking. 17 € appeared therefore as not covered. Also in the new larger premises, the “Arsia” shows that its appearance and price structure, trimmed at more noble level, is not an absolute air number. If this also happens with the rest of the menu as with the Ramen soup, it will remain the top quality recommendation in the city centre in terms of Japanese oriented cuisine."

"Deli Freiraum as such is the small local Nitsche located in the old “Nitsche”s farm in the Lübecker Altstadt, which has only recently opened in early June 2020. It should not be a purely gastronomic place, but also provide space and equipment for private events, courses or even yoga and meditation classes. In this review, of course, only the Deli area is to be interesting and I was also aware of the gastronomic offer of the niche. ; external view. In view of the alternative offer mentioned at the outset, it is certainly not surprising that the typical home cooking cannot be found here. The Bowls, which are certainly already widespread in inflation, are also intended to provide healthy and easy-to-be mixes for hunger. Meat is dispensed with, but the sea located in front of the front door is not neglected the Bowls basically vegetarian/vegan can be extended with salmon or tuna. The establishment of the Nitsche is characterized by blue white tones suitable for the marine embossed north. Thanks to some decoration and small plant pots, it does not work sterile or overload. As small as the guest room is the counter with the diverse bowl ingredients takes the majority of the entrance area, there are only a few standing tables at the counter in the interior and a few seating options for two in the rear area for staying. But especially now in summer there are also additional places in front of the restaurant. Most of them will probably call the offer here to go anyway. The entrance area opposite the counter. The back guest area. Since this is not a pure, classic restaurant, but rather something between snacks and bistro, the service is of course also designed for self-service. Since I also realized the to go offer during my visit, the time of visit and communication with the staff was very short. Two young ladies were present this afternoon. Both were friendly and could also answer a few questions about the ingredients, although not exactly with noticeable enthusiasm for cuisine. Ordered directly at the counter, where the bowls are immediately assembled. If you stay in the restaurant, they are also brought to the table by the service. Mouth Nose Protection does not wear the employees, but each ingredient has its own pelle with which the bowl can then be filled cleanly. A short visit to the toilet also confirmed the good impression of cleanliness held here. In most cases, the bowls available today in various locals are tailored exclusively to Asian compilations and taste images and often do not convince with tasteful plaster. The view of the online map of the Nitsche woke with partly exceptionally sounding ingredients Pink fennel, cinnamon tubules, ginger tofu and more in me the hope that you could be pleasantly surprised here. Here you can take a picture yourself: [here link] In addition to half a dozen solid combinations, there is of course also the possibility to assemble its bowls from the ingredients in the counter as desired. The most exciting thing for me from the established creations was the variant called Fleischhauer the restaurant located in the Fleischhauerstraße, which is selected from tomatoes sugo, sweet potatoes, quinoa, pink fennel with coriander, red onions, roasted cauliflower from myself instead of chickpeas, cucumbers and meaty mushrooms in a tahini herbal dressing with slice. As I decided, as mentioned, for the possibility of ordering to go, the colorful variety was delivered in a container with protective hood well and safely transportable. If you feed directly in the restaurant, correct dishes are of course used. Bowl named Fleischhauer, consisting of tomatoes sugo, sweet potatoes, quinoa, pink fennel with coriander, red onions, cauliflower instead of originally chickpeas, cucumbers and meaty mushrooms with tahini herbal dressing and a slice of grain bread The fennel was awarded its pink color by a marinade of red bete. This earthness was tastefully also actually perceptible and fits perfectly to the ethereal of the fennel. On the other hand, nothing was to be perceived by the coriander. The Meaty Mushrooms were champignons marinated in vinegar and soy sauce, which caused a kind of meaty consistency with juice and the certain “umami”. The baked sweet potatoes provided further juice and a sweet taste note. Onions and a few radishes added a slight sharpness. Even at the Gargrad of Quinoa there was nothing to mecker for me, yet it still ensured a slightly grainy bite without being too hard. At the cauliflower a light curry apron made the whole a bit more interesting. Gurke, sprouts and leaf salads, of course, only provided for volume rather than taste. So far everything was really fresh and good and not a dry matter. Only with the tomatoes Sugo and herbs Tahini Dressing I was a bit disappointed. Especially from the latter I hoped for this silky, nutty and still crumbling taste that makes the bowl something special. But unfortunately both the sugo on the ground and the dressing in micro plucks were completely underdosed and therefore tastefully not really existent. If it hadn't been the last thing, I would have considered the 10.5€ in view of the freshness and tasteful creativity appropriate. That's how I have to take a little off at the price performance ratio. At the bottom, the niche left with me an ambivalent rock pressure. Here you can actually find something kulinaric alternative and easy to use for intermediates, which is not completely thrown together. Also the ambience and the short service were good. However, for my feeling for a full score, either at the price or the decisive piece of tasteful intensity should be worked. Nevertheless, I would like to try this again."

Manna Sushi Grill

Manna Sushi Grill

Marienkirchhof 2-3, 23552, Luebeck, Germany

Sushi • Vegan • Grill • Japanisch

"As beautiful as the old brick building looks right next to the striking Marienkirche Lübecks, you will also be overlooked that since 2019 the “Manna” has opened a new restaurant for Asian and sushi cuisine. The owner and the chef have previously held sushi cooking classes in Lübeck and now tries to bring this profession to the customer in a restaurant (in which he offers these courses outside the view). A small staircase leads to the guest room in the cellar. Inside view. The decor does not welcome the guest particularly decorative and also the metal ventilation pipes on the ceiling are not really in the ambience, but everything is clean, modern and also the lighting ensures a pleasant atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi is also available here. The service took care of the late afternoon of my visit to the boss personally. The reception was friendly, but during the visit I would have an additional demand for satisfaction and thus symbolized attention and interest in the guest. After all, I was the only guest in the restaurant. At first glance, the menu has no surprises for most Asian and sushi restaurants. Only in “modern style special roles” a role of gold leaves allows a ribbed feeling (which needs... A special feature could be found at the end of the menu that I have not yet found in Lübeck: the Thali plates, a kind of Asian tapas plate that consists of various supplements that are served on a dish in individual bowls. Unfortunately, my demand for this court replied that this food is not available at the moment. Very bad, but in the current menu this Thalis does not appear at all So I left it during this first visit when ordering with the Green Veg Poke Bowl for 9.9€. It waited with rice, avocado, edamam, cucumber, pineapple, carrot, wakame, red herbs and corn and was served along with a teriyaki sauce. Green Veg Poke Bowl . Most of the ingredients were remarkably fresh and also freshly prepared: crisp red cabbage, edamame and wakame with bite, juicy cucumber and carrot stripes, as well as an avocado with good maturity justified this impression. The rice remembered something about sushi rice in its grains and tackiness, which was right here. Only the corn and the pineapple were noticed their origins from the can. The teriyaki sauce brought a sweet spices into play, but the dish lacked significantly different spices and especially acidity. This was surprising that the pomegranate and coriander advertised in the card or Sesame could have been able to deliver this, but unfortunately in the dish I served with absence. So the whole remained very pale, boring and did not correspond to the composition announced on the map. In the lower line, the “Manna Sushi” left me a rock print that doesn’t really move me to a new visit. My ordered Poke Bowl was perhaps worth his price in the amount, but the lack of ingredients and tasteful plaster still pull down the price-performance ratio. So the restaurant for me cannot really stand off from the many other Asian restaurants in the city. This would have been possible with the "thali plates", but this also proved to be an air number."
