"OK, so this cafe offers takeaway and eat in food . I have had both, and October 23 sat down for a full English breakfast, which was faultless. It was hot and freshly cooked and quickly bought to the table and with a cappuccino cast approx ten pounds which is a fair price locally. It is popular with builders , factory workers, and older couples, and even though it was fairly busy, this didn 't impact the waiting time for food service time. I am a female in my 40s and didn 't initially feel too welcome by the younger female staff waiting tables that weren 't English speaking or what i would describe as friendly towards me but they looked busy and like they work hard at busier times beyond the slight feeling of just hurry up and order if you want something and as I mentioned this was a busy time and the service was speedy and the order exactly as requested and tasty so this wasnt a huge issue for someone like myself and I would be happy to return again. EDITED TO REPLY TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE the staff were all clearly hardworking and the lady that served me was freshly and professional. It was simply a feeling I got from a younger member of staff and to be honest my own daughter is much the same if she would be capable even of the expectations of a busy cafe and the work expected let alone a smile so it was far from a matter that affected the whole overall experience that was very good overall. That wasn 't a dig at teenagers as I doubt I could find tge energy myself to serve food for hours and seem like I wasn 't fussed by grease hair from cooking oil and hot kitchen work etc. Anyway I Hooe that explains it better for the owner but to be clear it wasn 't a major issue or insulting enough to stop us from returning for the speedy well presented and tasty food."

"my wife and I like to travel to taste new restaurants and the monna lisa was about an hour drive to reach. Unfortunately it is not located in the most notorious part of luton and the parking spaces are difficult and the interior decor flatters with its sophisticated ceilings and walls and false wooden beams back to the 70s. they must, however, save their money for the fresh ingredients and decent wine. we were met by two very nice ladies who showed us to a table, and we gave the menu, notiz – the menu is huge, and it is recommended that they see it on their website first to get a rough idea what they probably order before they arrive. I had the arrabiata huhn, (see photo), and my wife the trout - both cooked exactly as we liked. I ordered brooms and I was informed that they were cooked Italian type, with tweepers and in a tomato sauce, something I didn't have before. and even though they looked a bit strange, see photo, they were actually very delicious. we booked relatiw early, (7 pm), and around 20 pm they were full – so pre book. the most important surprise was when we got the bill. for a 3-course menu, a bottle of wine and two beers, it came to £82.00 – very good value. if I have a complaint – I tried to book the table about their website, which promised to answer by phone within 24 hours – a week later they had not, so I called directly. the first time that the person I spoke with couldn't hear me, the second time that she was breaking up again and the third time when I got the booking – something that needed work in this area. but over all an excellent meal and we will definitely be back. thanks monna lisa."
