"Lucerne is a an expensive place so how pleasant to find a relaxed vibe and reasonable prices right beside the lion statue, so an added bonus was watching large groups being marched in to see the statue and marched out again on a strict timetable what a shame they couldn’t stop for a beer. "Brilliant find just alongside the Chapel Bridge! Came in from the freezing cold to enjoy hot drinks, beer AND cider and all we're great! The service was excellent, warm and friendly and very helpful! We had the Swiss cheese and meat sharing platter with a side of paprika chips and it was delicious, but the burgers coming out look absolutely fantastic and everyone was raving about them! Highly recommended, very reasonably priced and well worth spending some time in here!"

"das erstes Mal war ok, das Essen war etwas salzig, ich habe den Eindruck dass das Essen schon mehr mal aufgewärmt wurde und da durch salzig wurde, und das Fleisch war auch dem entsprechend trocken. Das zweites Mal war auch genau so salzig und es gab nur ein Menü zur Auswahl (wurde uns erklärt) jedoch die Kunden nach uns hatten freie Wahl. Wir haben hier auch das Gefühl, dass das Essen schon mehr Mals auf gewärmt wurde, vielleicht schon Wochenlang und sie die unbedingt los haben wollen. Fazit; nie mehr dort essen! Habe ja zweite Chance gegeben. Voll verkackt!!!"

"Wir hatten zu viert reserviert. Zuerst das Positive; die bestellten Speisen waren in Ordnung bis gut. Die Qualität aber nicht in der erwartenden Art. Der Service war gelinde gesagt eine Katastrophe. Wir hatten einen Tisch am Fenster im Restaurant reserviert. Es war schön Wetter, unser Tisch befand sich dann in der hintersten Ecke im Garten mit sehr lautem Küchensound. Innen wurde nicht bedient weil man im Hotel National Gebäude so schlechte Fenster hat, dass die man nicht öffnen könne, sagte die Chefin (hmmm). Nach meiner Reklamation wurde uns dann ein Tisch an der Front (wie versprochen) bereitgemacht. Die Chips für den Apéro kamen erst als dieser vorbei war. Der Service der Speisen war lieblos und unprofessionell. Die jungen Mädchen waren hoffnungslos überfordert. Die Vorspeisen kamen fast kalt, sind also irgendwo herumgestanden. Der georderte Wein war sehr gut und wurde mit optimaler Temperatur serviert. Die Karaffe Stadt-Wasser wurde trotzt der Weinbestellung mit 4.- Franken berechnet. Ein dl. Wasser zum Apéro Getränk mit 3.- Franken. Wir glauben, dass wenn die Restaurateure in Luzern bei ihrer sturen Tischwasserverrechnung bleiben, sich noch viel mehr private Kochkreise bilden werden und diese Gäste dann sicher fehlen. Hier wäre Umdenken sehr schnell erforderlich. Dieser Abend war ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis. Ausser der Weinqualität und der Speisen, war alles negativ und das Preisniveau definitiv nicht wert. Wir werden nicht mehr hingehen."

"Ich war bereits zum 2. Mal im Beck zu Gast und bin begeistert. Das Restaurant ist liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. An jedem Tisch stehen Kerzen, die das Restaurant am Abend noch gemütlicher machen. Der Service ist freundlich und sehr aufmerksam.Die Karte ist klein, aber für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Einziger Minuspunkt: Als Veggie hat man eher eine kleine Auswahl bei den Hauptgängen. Fündig wird man aber alle Mal. Die Gänge sind sehr lecker und wirklich schön angerichtet. Am Besten sind jedoch die Coups. Neben den klassischen Konstellationen (heisse Liebe, Coup Dänemark, Bananensplit etc. gibt es auch viele weitere tolle Variationen. Wirklich zum empfehlen. Gerne wieder!"

"Wenn am Abend das Geschäft schliesst, kann man im hinteren Teil des Gebäudes sehr fein essen. Mir wurde gesagt, dass man auch über Mittag essen kann. Der Zugang zurm Restaurant am Abend befindet sich zwar auf der anderen Seite des Gebäudes, aber diese paar Schritte lohnen sich sehr zu gehen. Das kleine Restaurant hat sehr viel Charme. Das Personal ist stets gut gelaunt. Man wird hier wahrlich nicht enttäuscht. Die Menuekarte ist sehr reichhaltig. Die Portionen wunderbar gross und der Geschmack der Speisen top. Wir haben je eine Vorspeise genommen, je eine vegetarische Hauptspeise und je einen chinesischen Tee. Wir kamen durchschnittlich auf CHF 25.-/Person. Ein unschlagbarer Wert im Raum Luzern. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!"

"My hubby and I were traveling through Europe and we love checking out local Irish bars. Paul the bartender is the best! This spot was our favorite the whole trip. Paul chatted with us a ton, gave us ideas of what to do around Luzern, and even said hi when he ran into us walking around the next day. This bar has a friendly vibe. There's no AC, but there's rarely AC anywhere in Europe so eh not a deal breaker. We were there on a Sunday and they had fun trivia people playing in teams. Another night was open mic night the guy who ran it sang and played guitar like a dream. If you're looking for a spot that speaks English, and want a chill vibe, check this bar out."

"Vor ein paar Tagen war ich mit einer Freundin im Negishi. Was dort abging habe ich so noch nie in einem Restaurant erlebt.Meine Kollegin hat 12 Sushis bestellt, bekam aber nur 6. Ich habe Makkis mit Thun bestellt. Der Fisch war nicht in der ganzen Sushirolle vorhanden, sondern nur oben ein Würfel darauf gesetzt das es so aussieht als wäre der Thunfisch im ganzen Sushi. Leider wurde es aber noch besser.In der Karte, Vital Sushi. Grosse Werbung für gesundes Sushi. Unter 200 Kalorien und das extra mit einer Ernährungsberatung diese Art von Sushi kreiert wurde. Auf der Karte stand Magerquark!!! Nach zwei, drei bissen wurde mir aber klar, dass dies sicher nicht Magerquark ist sondern es sich hier um um Mayonnaise handelt. Ich war echt schockiert und fühlte mir rundum betrogen. Nach meiner Reklamation wurde zugegeben, dass der Koch tatsächlich mit Mayonnaise das Sushi füllte. Unsere Rechnung wurde ein wenig gekürzt, aber ich komme sicherlich nie wieder."

"Authentic and delicious Pakistani/Indian cuisine, beautiful atmosphere. Not a chic restaurant, but clean and cozy ambience and the staff is friendly and helpful the food was very delicious and the portions are great. It's like eating my wife's home. I was there twice and tried her karahi poured (lamb) and muton corma with red rice comes with the dish. Very recommended, this is definitely not the last time I pay Mirch Masala a visit."

"Delicious Indian food, with friendly and warm service. The place is quite convenient and a 10 min walk from Luzern train station. We had the Veg Thali, which comes with Dal, 3 Subjis, Raita, Roti, Rice and a Dessert. Portion sizes were reasonable, and the food was fresh and very tasty, but slightly on the mild side. Service was prompt and they kindly switched one of the subjis on request as well. Well worth a visiting you are craving Indian food."

"The inner courtyard is very cozy, you feel like you're on vacation there. That's what the only stars are for. The food (pasta) had no taste, you couldn't taste any of the truffle oil. The “light cream sauce” felt like half a liter of full cream. I had to look for the mushrooms. We seasoned ourselves at the table. Service has made an effort, but they are all very young and obviously not trained. We couldn't speak German and English was also difficult. "Just loved the service and food at Ammos. Also suitable for larger groups 1A! I wanted to reserve a table for 8 people on December 30th for January 1st, 2024 no problem, which I found remarkable. A few more friends came along, so there were 18 of us in the end and that wasn't a problem for Ammos either. Brilliant. The service at Ammos was simply wonderful, especially for the large group. Fast, attentive, friendly although it may have been stressful (also because of us). To eat we then ordered lots of antipasti and shared them with the group. Quality was great. “Delivery” is always quick too. I was there on January 1st, 2023 (a year earlier) and it was good there it was great in 2024 too! Absolute recommendation!"

"Wir trafen sehr pünktlich um 18.00 Uhr ein und wollten uns an der Bar einen feinen Apéro genehmigen. Leider war die Bar noch zu und das Service-Personal vom Restaurant fand niemanden, der uns dort hätte bedienen können. Wir (4 Personen) wurden stattdessen zu einem schönen runden Tisch begleitet. Dort haben wir eine Menu-Karte erhalten, aber es wurde kein Wort über das Angebot 'Essen & Casino' verloren. Da unsere Freunde schon mal da waren, haben sie danach gefragt. Erst da wurden wir informiert. Wir haben uns für das 3-Gang-Menu inkl. Apero entschieden. Die Getränke (tolle Weinkarte) und das Essen waren ausgezeichnet. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam (während des Essens) und trotzdem nicht zu steif. Einziger Wehmutstropfen am Schluss: Wir mussten nach dem Bezahlen der Rechnung 3 x nach den Gutscheinen/Jetons für den Casino-Besuch fragen und schlussendlich mehr als 1/4 Stunde darauf warten. Irgendwie wurden wir den Eindruck nicht los, dass wir nicht zur Ziel-Kundschaft gehören."

"This is the most satisfying restaurant on my trip to Switzerland!! I tried the breakfast at the hotel, and felt something special about the fried eggs, so I made a reservation for lunch that day. There is a daily/seasonal menu and prices are similar to other restaurants in Switzerland. Today's menu was about 24 francs for the main dish. The staff are really friendly and the outdoor seating atmosphere is great. Today's menu was only in German, so he explained everything and took a family photo first. You can check the menu by going to the restaurant's website, so it would be nice to see it in advance. I ordered lamb, sea bass, tuna tataki, mango avocado salad, gazpacho, and dessert. The sauces were all so unique and delicious, and the meat was tender and the best!!! I would especially like to recommend the fish dish and tuna tataki haha. This is a restaurant I recommend when you want to try something different, and although it wasn't fully booked, I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation."

"Germanish Swiss food. Comforting and hearty. Stop by the host to get a table outside. Someone tried to cut us and asked a waiter and the host didn’t give them our table but told them to wait for next table. I respect the order. We ordered the pork belly and also homemade meatball. I like the meatball better than the pork belly. Both dishes were solid though. The vegetable sides are usually root vegetables- carrots, turnips, etc. The mashed potato and gravy with the meatballs were delicious, salted just right. The spicy ginger drink was really good too. I was worried at first that it’d burn with too much spice but it was very well balanced. They’re a little overwhelmed despite a decent amount of staffing. Everyone was very nice though."
