"However, not all restaurants use powders and artificial colorings in their dishes. Pundits Fusion in Upton-Upon-Severn is one such restaurant that prides itself on using fresh ingredients and seasonings in their cooking. I have been a fan of Pundits Fusion for over 10 years, as the owner, Sultan, knows how to take care of his customers and make everyone feel welcome. When I recently visited Pundits Fusion with some friends, we were greeted warmly by Sultan and treated to a delicious meal. We started with fish kebabs made with knife fish imported from Bangladesh and flavorful lamb samosas. For our main course, we enjoyed a variety of dishes including king prawn dansak, lamb rogan josh, mixed mishty, and tandoori chicken. The food was excellent, and we could see why Pundits Fusion has such a loyal following in the community. Sultan and his team have created a restaurant that goes beyond just serving food - it is a place where friends gather to enjoy delicious meals and good company. We left with full bellies and happy hearts, grateful for the wonderful experience at Pundits Fusion."

"Started off brilliantly, warm friendly reception and very attentive service. Drinks were prompt and very good and the decor and setting is absolutely lovely. We had the Sunday lunch menu and both had the smoked salmon starter which was beautifully presented and very nice. Then the Sunday roasts arrived and things went south rather quickly. I had the ‘best of both’ with both beef and pork which sadly omitted both apple sauce and stuffing, despite being described as ‘with all the trimmings’. My wife had the roast beef, which bizarrely was served with both apple sauce and the black pudding stuffing from the roast pork option. Clearly whomever was plating up wasn’t very attentive. Whilst the meats and roast potatoes were good, sadly the rest of it was rather tasteless. The vegetables were bland and needed seasoning; both the parsnips and Yorkshire pudding appeared to have been cooked much earlier in the day and then warmed up the Yorkshire pudding in particular was dry and tasteless. Equally, the gravy, whilst plentiful was watery and had no depth of flavour and the cauliflower cheese sauce was not cheesy in the slightest. If I were judging this meal as an average pub roast I’d have given it 3 stars, but bearing in mind both the premium price and the expectation set of ‘Malvern’s finest dining experience’ it certainly wasn’t food wise, so sadly only 2 stars. We can only assume that their Sunday roasts are not reflective of their usual standards and we will return to try a weekday evening meal fingers crossed…"

"Had to recognise the efforts of this lovely establishment today. We grabbed a last minute table at the end of lunch. Couldn’t fault a thing. We received a warm friendly welcome and our starter’s arrived at a nice pace so we didn’t feel rushed at all. I had the king Prawns in a curried batter with mango chutney and salad. It was delicious, other half had the garlic mushrooms with bacon bits that came with a generous amount of toast on the side…. Yummy! Little touches like the butter on the tables are things I love. I loathe it when you a just given packets of butter. For our mains once I’d seen the person opposite with the prawn sandwich and chips I knew I would regret it if I had anything else and it didn’t disappoint. Filled with lots of prawns in a Marie Rose sauce on the freshest softest bread. Again my other half had the Seafood Linguine and loved it. Nice sauce and plenty of it, lots of mussels, prawns, king Prawns even smoked haddock! Oh and chef put these lovely little flower buds in that packed a lovely onion pouch.Tasted just like the Italians do it! Whilst we were sat there every dish that came out looked fantastic… we saw the sea bass with new potatoes, the pie, all looked great. We just kept saying .. why don’t we come here more often? We did the same last time and I still remember how tasty the smoked haddock lasagna with asparagus was. I forgot to mention the chips which were also fab… homemade just like Nan used to make. We shared the chocolate and peanut cheesecake which was off the charts. Honestly this place is great.. lovely staff, great chef (who we were told never gives herself enough credit) she’s very talented and understands flavours and food combinations. Chef you are EPIC. Great atmosphere, mix ox people and very reasonable. We have eaten at Michelin rated places that haven’t been as good! See You All Soon"

"I have awarded 4 stars not because of food and service but because parking near to the restaurant is difficult , step flight of stairs leading upto the restaurant and doubtful wheelchair access. Restaurant has an excellent view over the river , is austere in design but nice tables and chairs with plenty of room . In nice weather enjoyable to sit out on the balcony. Bar service. Service good , cheerful, efficient and polite. Excellent selection of tapas which meant that the 4 of us were able to chose dishes to suit ourselves . I enjoyed the mushrooms and beef the best but the lamb koftas and salad were also liked by the others. Liked the way the tapas dishes were timed to arrive as you ate your way through the meal."

"Good for drinks but we arrived 5pm on a Saturday afternoon and our friends wanted pizza but were told there was one left, they weren’t cooking any more and you can’t order anything else at all. Also, they don’t do coffee, you couldn’t order that! It was disappointing as there was little explanation."

"The vegan options available here are clearly and intentionally part of the menu considerations, not just an after thought (as in, not just a non-vegan meal with the meat and dairy removed, which leaves a wholly unsatisfying result). The service was brilliant, as were all the meals we had (my husband and I had lunch, dinner and brunch the next day). The owner was clearly proud of the options available, but asked us our opinion on them, and what else would we like to see on the menu. What more can you ask for than an establishment that is happy to receive feedback and improve where possible?"

"The pub welcomes dogs and we had our small spaniel lying quietly on the floor. our server said she had a dog allergy , she did not come near us, and served our meals and drinks to an empty table asking us to collect them! There were other servers who were reportedly busy. I would have preferred to have waited until a server without a dog allergy was free, and have our meals brought to the table where we were seated. The server with the dog allergy should not be asked to serve people with dogs as it’s a health issue."

"A nice location with a large beer garden but made less attractive by the number of uncleared tables. Friendly welcome. A poorly lighted, small room overlooking the car park, with an extremely uncomfortable mattress, a shower that fell apart when we tried to use it, and a tv that switched itself on spontaneously at 6am. Noisy, crowded, popular dining areas with friendly staff but some unspecified blunder between server and kitchen meant our risotto didn’t appear for more than an hour. While waiting we were entertained by overly loud ‘background’ music. To be fair, the price of the meal was discounted to compensate for the long delay. The Swan is memorable for all the wrong reasons."

"I wish I could give a million stars. our high-time day was not perfect. an absolutely beautiful team of men and sue is overwhelming. I find it really hard to put in words how grateful I am and how perfect our day was. eating was absolutely excellent. great that our guests had a choice and every single cure was raised. I have also tasted the eating of my manne so that I can confidently say that eating was consistently excellent. our master of the ceremonies was wonderful and assured that the day was running smoothly. the dj, arranged by the venue, was incredible! damian has put me every one and was such a nice guy. all agreed he was brilliant. sue was so quiet and organized that I felt calmer. she's a great lady. each aspekt des tags was perfect to the last detail. I honestly can't mistake it, can't think of a single thing that could have been done better. so many people told us and our parents that it was the best time they ever were. so much love for all involved, especially sue for all their hard work. I am so stunned by everything and cannot recommend this place enough for a high time. thank you to them all, with love by mr mrs. de-la-Hay xxx"

"Cracking coffee but the ciabatta was a brilliant lunch find. We had the great malvern which was deli meats and cheese with quirky additional touches like sliced apple and garlic mayo and the middle eastern which was falafel, hummus, peppers and chilli jam. Fresh bread and fillings £6 each absolute bargain. Delicious, we will return. Thank you"

"We placed quite a large order this evening to takeaway as we had a family get together. The food was amazing, nothing was missing from our order and everyone said how much they enjoyed their food and how fresh it was. We’ve had experiences in the past elsewhere where the food has been very salty and greasy, but our meals this evening were far from this and we will definitely order from here again. "Following on from a negative January review, can’t see why someone was surprised that dogs not permitted, it is a food establishment and as such is kept immaculately clean by the owner. As a regular customer I certainly don’t want dogs slopping around in a café. To me this is a great positive NOT a negative. Between the somewhat mucky chain coffee bar down the road, that can’t ever make a decent espresso coffee and the immaculately clean Henrys that make the best espresso I have ever enjoyed that is no contest. Henrys welcome customers and treat all with respect, alas some customers don’t seem to appreciate that, shame on them! Without doubt Henrys is the best coffee stop in Malvern. A warm personal welcome, superb freshly prepared food, not out of a plastic packet, just the best coffee ever, in a superbly clean café. Who would want more?"

"My wife and I have three children and get out to dinner about three times per year. So when we go out a good experience is so important for us. The food at the Boathouse is really good. Perfectly cooked dishes using lovely ingredients and just the right amount of food per racion. Other features that really made our night were: We had a really excellent waitress, she was attentive but not pushy and we felt like she really cared about her job. She knew about the food too. Boathouse have spread out their tables upstairs so that you aren’t packed in and can have an intimate dining experience, not feeling squeezed up against other couples. So it almost feels like private dining. We have eaten Tapas all over the country and have only eaten better food once in a very expensive place in Fulham, London. Go to Boathouse, you won’t regret it. We will be back to the more informal downstairs cafe with our children very soon."

"Six of us visited on Saturday evening after a day at the Malvern Showground. As this lovely restaurant is only twenty minutes drive, it is ideally situated for revitalising sustenance after you've walked your legs off! My husband and I have eaten here once before...and recommended it to our friends, hoping that the experience would be as superb as the first time. No-one was disappointed . The mains we chose were beer battered fish (haddock) and chips, chicken balti, sticky chilli beef and cajun chicken wrap. All of the meals were completely delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding, lemon curd pavlova and ice cream. The chef makes the ice cream, which comes in a selection of flavours (all of the men chose banana and said it was scrumptious) and also makes the lemon curd which is bursting with tangy flavour providing the perfect foil to the meringue and cream. Six starters, six mains and twelve drinks came to just over £140 which is excellent value for money for such gorgeous food. Service was super-efficient, smiley with a dollop of wit thrown in for good measure. This is top notch food and customer service worthy of more than five stars. I only wished we lived nearer. The folks who have this restaurant close by don't know how lucky they are! Thank you to everyone at The Bear."

"we overrun the late theater. we were still treated with total courtesy. nothing was too much annoyed and as always eating was extraordinary. the deluxe mixed grill is a must- Juiced delicate selection of lambskin and huh. I think they can say if a meal will be good when the poppadome are good, they are slightly crispy and come with a nice selection of chutney and pickles. highly recommended."

"Just there for a meal only. Sadly it was very disappointing and I would not recommend based on our experience. Food drinks: The pub is very traditional and the furnishings are a little tired. We chose it because it was dog friendly and had reasonable/good reviews. But sadly the food we both ordered the special (braised beef with mushrooms and brandy gravy and bubble and squeak) was not good at all. The dish was a good sized portion with a generous plate of veg each but sadly the beef was not as described it was supposed to be slow braised but was quite tough and not falling apart as expected. No taste of brandy at all, quite peppery and too much salt in the gravy . But the worst part was the fat which had not rendered down and so had to try to cut the meat off the fat. Very offputting and was left with c40% fat on my plate at the end. The bubble and squeak was quite underwhelming and tasteless . Very disappointing I mentioned this but the waitress just said she’d tell the chef and came back with the card machine for payment. We are not local so won’t be returning but based on this meal, I would not recommend at all. Service: 3 Location: 3"

"The Anchor is a no frills, no nonsense family friendly pub with welcoming atmosphere. Landlord and landlady keep a tight but friendly ship, with a flavour of their Newcastle background. They have fitted into the village of Kempsey with a very positive outlook and this has endeared them to many locals who are now 'regulars '. The menu is quite straightforward and manages to cater for a variety of preferences. On my most recent visit I tried the rump steak (during winter I mostly had the beef casserole which is very tasty too). My steak was very well cooked in the manner I prefer: medium rare. It had a caramelised surface for added flavour and was pink inside for juicy texture. It did as my old mum would say 'eat well ' too! Texture was very good, especially for the modest price. I have paid considerably more for steaks less tender and less flavoursome than this! I was very happy to let both hosts know how much I enjoyed it. The Anchor also make and serve very good pizzas, cooked in a proper, outdoor, pizza oven. A large, covered, outdoor eating area plus a grassy garden make it ideal for family visits, particularly on any nice days. Yes; I shall be back for another steak before long."

"I love dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly. As someone with a disability, I often struggle with uncomfortable seating at restaurants, but the chairs here are comfortable, which greatly enhances the dining experience. The food is consistently delicious with a variety of interesting menu options, making it difficult to decide what to order. I particularly enjoyed the Cavolo nero starter and my husband highly recommends the Brioche bread and butter pudding. We have always had an excellent experience here."

"We made a table reservation for wife's birthday. When we got there we couldn't find a table with our name plaque, it was a few minutes before we were approached and directed to the next free table. It was not reserved, was not very clean, no candle, no salt. It would be nice to come to a nicely prepped table especially that we booked it for special occasion. It was our first visit it would be beneficial to receive some sort of instruction from the staff who sat us down, as to if order by the bar or if we will be served, so we had to find out ourselves. The food was tasty and good, delivered promptly.The garden is fantastic. Staff kind and was working hard. The only problem was the garden is not fenced off and adjacent to the car park, so we had our hands full having to watch after out boy rather than relax in our seats..."
