"Our first impression was a disappointment as we drove to the hotel and found that it was right on a main road that you obviously do not see when you look at the photo on their website! We checked at the tiny reception, we were not told that they were a hotel lift, so we spent our luggage in our rooms. Due to the long Conona period we received the newly renovated rooms at the rear of the building with an adjoining balcony. The rooms were pleasantly decorated, large flat screen TV on the wall, fresh towels daily and free Wi-Fi was available. We found the pillows impossible to sleep as we were used on our fixed flat neck cushion, we had to fight with the pillow to give it a shape. After unpacking we went to the 'Biergarten Terrace' outside to enjoy the sun and have a few drinks before dinner. Traffic was disturbing as it was a main road, e.g. local bus, heavy land machines, motorcycles, trucks etc. In the large dining area it was much quieter during dinner breakfast service. The little bar was out of service for Corona. You will only notice German on their website that the menu is less better, i.e. 'good old house cooking' instead faced with pages of foreign dishes. Our supper was always a welcome surprise, plentiful and excellent in taste the mother knows her trade. The owners of the 3rd generation are friendly and are very helpful to give visitors tips on local cities etc. We enjoyed our four nights, we will probably not visit this part of Germany again, but we recommend it."
