"Well, nice lunch, food good, but 20€ for a drink and a sandwich, or bowl of rice. Drinks are very over priced but the thing that really made me angry was 3€ for cover charge, to sit at a plastic table, and nothing else... When I asked the man at the till what 3€ was for he just said, you are in italy..... disgusting i live in italy and in all my time here i have never paid a 3 € cover to sit on a chair.... outrageous. One lives and learns...."

"Everything was very good and the team was lovely. However the service could be better. The restaurant was not busy and our food arrived in waves which was ok for me as we were chatting and did not feel as bad. Table maintenance was not good as many empty glasses have been left on the table until the end even if not used. A bit pricey but good quality food."

"Lovely place however they could not cope with the amount of tables they were serving. They charged us the wrong amount which I pointed out they also had some issues with the food supply which they did not address in the appropriate way. They were very apologetic and gave us a discount. All we asked for was to be served the food described on the menu, which did not happen. It looked to me that they were trying to bite more than they could chew. They aspire to be a sofisticate establishment, sadly their service was far from sofisticate. Such a disappointment. It spoilt our final dinner in Puglia"

"We had a wonderful server who first recommended an Arancini Sicilian with mozzarella and Prosciutto really delicious! I could go back for more of those, some of the best I've ever had! Then I ordered a pizza Trinacria (which is basically a mushroom and sausage pizza) however there is no comparison to an American mushroom and sausage pizza, the ingredients in this pizza were amazing! Mushrooms very fresh, sausage amazing and not sure if it was grana padana or Parmigiana cheese but that gave such flavor wow you gotta try some My husband ordered pizza Diavola which certainly pleased him to have some salame piccante (he loves the food here but also loves spicy food) Even I tried the salame perfect blend of flavor with a little spice We had a great time. Of course they are many other pizzas to try and I may go back again to sample more before we leave the pizza is that good!"

"Super beautiful stain! Great location by the sea. We had the best salad so far in Puglia a shrimp salad with mixed green and lots of shrimp together with the roasted fish comb. We usually do not eat fried fish, but after we saw that it served several tables around us, we realized that it was not the US version of deep fried, heavily baked fish. It was slightly coated and so a wide selection of seafood. Soooo good! The prices were reasonable. Recommend this little jewel of a restaurant."

"absolutely impeccable: almost maniacal attention to detail, and a quality of absolutely superlative food. only to quote some ears: while being outdoors, there is a smoking area to avoid disturbing other customers with the smell of smoke; the ordered dishes join; the music has the right volume and is not annoying; the waiters are super professional; there was provided a natural anti-slip prepared by them; atmosphere and environment, as already mentioned, at the top. what is transpare is a great passion for your work and desire for self-improvement, while also tracking details. congratulations to those behind this beautiful place."

"that was a great sound and her hospitable friend was fantastic. the local food astonishing also and apart from the restaurant a little quiet, but that fits us as it was early. we were a British couple who didn't want to eat late, but we understand the Italian way of life, so we knew that there would not be many locals in the restaurant around 19.30 clock, as they dinate much later. it fits us and if they ever have a chance to try it, make sure they do it."

"Sightseeing all morning up and down the Adriatic coast in Puglia, trying for find a spot of lunch, we spied the restaurant/trattoria from the motorway, (Fasano to Monopoli). Parked, it was a very pleasant trattoria, spacious and inviting. Staff were helpful, got our drinks (carafe...of red wine) and delicious food. We had antipasti – wow, it was superb, especially the fresh mozzarella and piping hot pizza, thin, crunchy perfect. I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), all sightseeing has to be well-researched and not overly taxing; I wear a legbrace. Very well priced, reasonable and delicious food, we decided to go there again for dinner. Very packed, full of local Italians, it was all age-groups; great vibe, buzzy atmosphere. A celebration was going on (birthday party), another group were all girls having a night out, the table next to us were having a intimate dinner for two. A very good night for us, the food was again fresh and delicious. Awesome atmosphere, good food service, great value."

"very cute bistro with beautiful interior design. there are vegan options that are super tasty. we had the crickets with guacamole and the vegan cheese and vegan sausage cold cut plate. Unfortunately, the portions are too small and they have to wait a little longer to order and also get their food. but they give them some kartoffel chips while waiting staff is super friendly! we were there on Sunday and they opened around 19 o'clock. the kitchen opens approx. 45 minutes later."

"we had dinner in this restaurant in 4, all vegetarian and vegan-friendly. the choices of the menu available were many, we opted for various appetizers: bread meatballs, salads with vegan tzatziki cream, vegan cheese cutter with almond base, typical Puglia mozzarella, eggplant parmigiana, vegetable tart, salad, zucchini friselle and stracciatella, a liter of excellent white sangria and a great dark chocolate dessert. in all we spent 14€ per head, the service was celery and very kind, the environment is familiar and furnished with extreme goto, plants everywhere and zero plastic. we were pleasantly surprised and recommend it to vegetarians in the area! best book if you go in more than two people updated by the previous review on 2021-08-29"

"We had a terrazza table with a sea view on a Saturday evening as “early” diners at 8pm. We took a look at the fresh fish on order and chose ricciola. The head waiter was a good salesman, charming and attentive. He explained how it would be prepared, then returned saying the chef would cook it another way in a “typical monopolitana ricetta.” We also ordered a seasonal salad full of greens, different tomatoes, and baratinna sort of a cucumber/melon mix), roasted potatoes , and grilled vegetables. When the fish arrived the head waiter deboned and prepared it onto our plates along with the potatoes, tomatoes, and olives, accompanied with a broth to put over the fish. Everything was delicious. The staff was courteous and attentive. I suppose the only fault would be that the price of the fish according to its weight) should have been told to us. You probably should ask so you’re not surprised by it. Overall though we recommend Il Cantinale!!"
