"One of only two restaurants in Montresor and the only one open on a Sunday night we had no choice- the supermarket had closed at lunch time and the fridge was empty! The whole experience was very strange! Not sure if it was the waitress 's...first night but service was poor. We were only given one glass for our water and one serviette between us and after several attempts to get her attention gave up and 'shared ' . The menu choice was poor. The salads looked huge but with a random selection of either meats or cheese so we chose the plat du jour. This was confit of duck swimming in a bowl of oil with a couple of boiled potatoes floating around, no veg or salad- heart attack on a plate! 3 pieces of bread were served on a skewer, again we shared the 3 rd piece. Dessert was a very standard chocolate mousse. The toilets were just behind our table but fortunately wasn 't used while we sat there. It 's such a shame they have got it so wrong as with only two restaurants in the village they could do so well, we were staying locally in self catering and would have loved to eat out more often!"
