"I can only the afternoon of sophia 's, but not in the actual local, but in the lobby lounge the library. because it was not known to me, I came up for my reservation at the recipe of the local. I was then referred to the colleagues in the library. I was kindly greeted and could choose between two places. after my reservation the table was already covered for a person. the afternoon is a piece of london tradition in the middle of the dunes between the main railway station and old botanical garden. after 5* hotel level the library is also high quality and equipped. Although the library is an open part of the lobby, they sit here very nice and quiet. no trace. and the corresponding level is also very professional, attentive and yet reserved. the afternoon is offered from Friday to Sunday from 14 to 18 o'clock. the food was served very nice on a stage: a selection of homemade sandwiches and petit four as well as freshly baked scenes. the sandwiches tasted very good. the petit four were also good for me but consistently too sweet. the scenes were, however, quite different when I know them from other English natives. they seemed like a big cookie and tasted like that. the associated cloged cream and the jam were delicious. not bad, but no scones yet. they can choose between hand-picked Jing-Tee-Sorts – I chose the in-house tee mix rocco forte afternoon dazzle. I'm not the tea expert now, but the tee tasted very good. for the ideal train time is included a 3 minute hour clock. the tee is included and they can drink as much as they want. the tea time arrangement costs 38 € not exactly cheap, but as a special experience as well as for the environment and the food offered it was okay. I don't do that every day."

"A mixed experience in the heart of Munich: The grill in the Künstlerhaus Our expectations were high when we entered the barbecue in the Künstlerhaus, tempted by its promising ambience and the reputation of culinary finesse. What we expected, however, was a roller coaster of feelings, characterized by moments of genuine enthusiasm and unexpected disappointments. The contagious kindness of the staff and the elegant atmosphere set the stage for a dinner that should remain in memory – not only for the right reasons. Our culinary journey began with a challenge: the aperitif, the wine recommendation for meat and a second bottle of water were simply forgotten. An unexpected disappointment that went through the evening. The food itself was a paradox. The promised truffle pomers, which dept as simple frozen pumice, and an oversweet, overpriced cookie dessert were in stark contrast to the excellent meat of the grill meeting. The meat, excellent in quality and preparation, was affected by the timing, so that we had to enjoy it mostly cold. Another criticism was that our request for a coffee with lactose-free or oat milk (this was given when booking). With a simple “we don’t have it” has been removed. This left the impression of a lack of prediction and flexibility that would have been expected in the reputation of the House. Finally, it can be said that restaurant impresses with its ambience and quality of its meat, but is held back by a number of service mistakes and culinary failures. We hope that our experience is an opportunity for the restaurant to rethink and improve its processes. The basis for an outstanding culinary experience is undoubtedly present – it only requires consistent implementation."

"We had the satay, spring rolls, roti canai, char kway teow and beef kerisik which were 90% similar in taste to what you would get in Malaysia - perfect for people who have never been to Malaysia! However, having been to similar restaurants in New York (Nyonya) and London (Rasa Sayang, Satay House Malaysian restaurant), I find the prices at Champor very overpriced (e.g. 24€ for "char kway teow", a type of flat broad noodles, and 14€ for 5 satay sticks). We were also charged extra for the "curry dip" which came with the roti canai, which was not made known to us when we ordered a piece of the flatbread. With 2 and a half starters, 2 mains and 3 non-alcoholic drinks, our total bill came up to 100€ for 2 people. Ambience was classy (though it doesn't reflect the true Malaysian food experience) and hospitality was great, but only if you love every single aspect of the dining experience. We overheard the hostess shouting, "If they can't wait, they should leave", presumably because of a customer's complaint about the long waiting time for the food. Not sure about the tone and attitude of the customer's complaint in the first place but am certain this response does not make things better. I loved the food but upon jokingly lamenting that there were no cockles in the fried noodles (which is a key ingredient in char kway teow but I did realise that it may be difficult to get the ingredient in Munich), the hostess first said that she disliked the shellfish before adding that one gets hepatitis from eating it (fact: only if the shellfish is not cleaned and cooked properly will one run the risk of viral infection from eating shellfish). A simple "we don't like this shellfish and hence we don't add it in our food" and a smile would have suffice. We wanted to order dessert after we finished our main courses but were told that the kitchen was closed though we had not been informed about the kitchen closing / placing last orders. Having seen the Management's reaction to customers' feedback in the restaurant and responses to other reviews, I know that any less-than-positive review will surely earn a scathing response from their Management. I would however like to mention that if you have never been to Southeast Asia and/or never will, this is a nice restaurant to splurge on authentic Malaysian food."
