"After trying several restaurants of orbetello, this evening we decided to dine at my house we were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff who immediately made us feel comfortable. we started with an excellent tartara of meat and then with fettuccine with the fresh anchovies for my wife and taglialini with the whisk of muggine and lemon zest for me, two pasta dishes absolutely fine! I would like to emphasize that the pasta are made in the house using flours of ancient grains, real delights. both dishes, the first and easiest the second have immediately conquered us. for the second, my wife chose delicious scallops with absolutely perfect vegetarian gratination and I a delicious beef cheek cooked in slow cooking to the chianti and juniper wine that literally melted in the mouth. already at this point, we were more than satisfied but, precisely for this reason, we did not want to deprive ourselves of the pleasure of having also dessert. My wife opted for a wonderful cake my house (sweet with bitter orange jam and cocoa sponge cake) with the right touch of bitter perfect to close a succulent dinner. I, however, plunged into an excellent semi-freddo of pistachios decorated with melted dark chocolate and crispy of raspberries, one of the best semi-freddi I've ever gotten! desserts are of own production as well as the excellent oranges love oates to prepare cake jam and the difference you feel! what to say more? Maybe it was the best dinner here in the bear (and Sunday we come back) and my house became my restaurant!!"

"Terrible experience from both a level of service and food perspective. The waiters forgot to bring in the table so many things that were requested that I’ve lost the count of it. This includes bread, wine, water and, last but not least, the last main dish has been brought 10 mins after everyone finished to eat their own dishes. For the entire evening everything was forgotten and brought extremely slowly after having received a “yes sure, I’ll bring it immediately” response, which made feel me made fun of. I’m lactose intolerant and asked for the “tris di affumicati” to be without butter, it arrived with three butter pats on top. The dish was also decorated with dried, old salad (some leaves were brown and humid like they’ve been taken out from a ready to eat salad bag being in the fridge for long time). The “fritto misto” plate was split in a proportion of 3/4 fried courgettes and carrots, and 1/4 or less with some prawns and calamari all imperceptible due to the fact that the batter was extremely thick and covering every taste. All this really gave me the impression of a “let’s cheat the client” mentality throughout the evening. All these issues have been brought up to the waiters which said “we are sorry” at the end of the meal, but to end the night when asked for the bill, no bill arrived at the table until me myself had to stand and go inside to pay. No discounts made. A really really bad experience never to repeat anymore, I wish I had gone away without paying the bill."

"We just accidentally stumbled upon this trattoria in search of a place to eat. Nice location a bit off the main street so it's very quiet there. The tables are located in the back of the building, there are seats inside and there's small square with tables outside. Being covered from all the streets creates a very secluded atmosphere. There are only few people working in the restaurant, maybe only as many as four or five persons of staff. Thus service is a bit slow. Now to food. Starters and pasta were amazing. Rich sauces, flavorsome fillings, silky smooth pasta. Probably one of the best tortelli I've ever had. We were a party of four and all ordered different, everything was finger licking good. This was a promising start of dinner so we expected same quality from the main courses. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. Game that we ordered was plain and overcooked, they didn’t bother to take the small bones out as well so eating it was a complete mess. Spare pork ribs were overcooked if not cremated. It was literally problematic to separate meat from bones and hard to chew and swallow it. Extremely dry pork. The last dish that we ordered was lamb… I had no idea that you could do something like that to lamb. It was obviously beaten to the point of see-through thinness and deep fried in a thick layer of batter afterwards. It’s not only that you had to struggle to try and feel the taste of lamb in that thin layer of meet inside the batter crust but sometimes you had to really look very closely to even make sure that the meat was there at all. Certainly the dish was dry and missing at least a sauce to dip into. Certainly after such a disappointment we didn’t care to try desserts so I cannot tell anything about those. Probably if we only had pasta and starters for dinner it would have been magical and I would have probably rated it excellent but the mains were so bad that I have to rate it average. In conclusion it’s definitely a trattoria worth visiting just for pasta that is very good indeed but main courses I strongly don’t recommend."
