"We took advantage of the Barley Mow's canalside location to meet up with old friends as we were passing through on our narrowboat and they in their motorhome. We booked a table for the evening were glad we had as the place was busy with a mixture of locals and visitors eating and drinking. The atmosphere was lively and Richard and his staff were welcoming attentive throughout our meal. A good range of lagers and ales were on offer and the menu was wide, varied and well priced. Our meals were delicious with ample portions; we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend that you call in and experience for yourself what good things Richard and his staff are doing here."

"excellent pub, a very good selection of real ales and more. the bar staff is beautiful and there is a great atmosphere. beautiful toastia log burner with arthur the dog relaxing from it. beautiful enclosed garden with good child facilities, next to the canal at the front! a handsome small food shop that is unique when they are on their boat! always comes!"
