"With some friends we decided to make Christmas wishes, around a table, eating something good and genuine. At the proposal to go to the Locanda Da Ciacco, in Ruvo di Puglia, given the numerous and excellent reviews, we immediately approved. Arrived on the spot, in the center, with parking available nearby, we entered confidently. The setting was well decorated for the upcoming Christmas holidays. At the center of the room stands a beautiful lit fireplace, with a very particular copper pipe, to make the environment even more welcoming. Immediately comply with the COVID regulations, with control of the green pass and well-spaced tables and disinfectant within everyone's reach. The owner, Mr. Franco, immediately introduced himself and, even before asking us what we wanted to eat, he communicated the availability of free wi-fi, now indispensable for any smartphone owner. He offered us some dishes (not many), a sign of careful and daily cooking and some wines to accompany the meal. After hot and cold appetizers, but above all very good and very fresh such as ricottina in artisan fuscello, we enjoyed an excellent first course with fresh pasta and an excellent mixed roast second course. Now full, we gave up on dessert and coffee, but only to be able to take a stroll in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, very close to the Cathedral and have a coffee in one of the bars in the area. The bill was okay, fair enough. Any further comment is superfluous. We must try and judge. We thank Mr. Franco and his kitchen, hoping to return soon. Enjoy your meal."
