"It's my fourth summer coming to the Province of Gers, a lovely region in South of France, and during each trip we drop by our favorite restaurant. About 4km from the Mirande Square, this little gem is located on road N21. The small sign might be easy to miss for first-time visitors, so slow down when approaching the address. The menu consists of delectable, regional specialties freshly made with wholesome ingredients. All is home-made. The foei gras is a fragrant, silky delight. The magret de canard (duck breast) is tender and juicy. The vanilla bean crème brûlée is rich and smooth, with the thin crispy top flambeed to perfection. I love the sound my spoon makes as I gently crack the roof. On a warm sunny day, I enjoy the view of the garden under the shade of the trees. I usually order the fruit punch, also home-made. On rainy days, I prefer eating on the veranda or on the cozy indoor dinning room, with beautiful paintings."
