"At the train station over the tracks, then a few hundred meters directly at the lake, over the sea bridge with the three arches, and then again over a bridge, this time over the railway. Then you are in the garden from the Café am See. A nice walk I wanted to take with my children a few years ago. At that time I had written to the Kurverwaltung, why there is nothing in the place where children return. The expensive hotels in the centre are not suitable for every day. In the meantime, it has changed, but as still today, the café at the lake is a good alternative. Here, along with good cakes and cakes, you can also get small, inexpensive meals, such as sausage, toaste or soups. For some years we have taken our lunch meal here in the garden or in the spacious guest room. And was sad when the boss was suddenly closed for years. We haven't been here for a long time because there was a deal for substances that didn't interest me. This year I went over again and was thrilled. It was back, in a new direction, to the café. With cheap daily meals and beautiful cakes. Rahmschnitzel with Pfifferlingen and Spätzle were offered weekly. I didn't miss that. Renovated inside, the small idyllic garden, with playground, as once. With magnificent views over the lake. The trail also goes along the lake, this time on the other side of the tracks. Of course you can also come by car, there is a small parking a few meters away. Very recommended, who doesn't want to eat in the hotel. Top location, child-friendly, clean and nice service."

"1) Nice hotel, with sometimes very mixed food: a) The breakfast buffet is very extensive and excellent. b) Lunch in the “Gugelhupf” café fluctuates between ok and inedible. For example, a tomato soup or the sauce from Spaghetti Napoli tastes like curry ketchup. I have no idea which chef does something like that, but outside of a currywurst stand it 's a no-go. c) Dinner in the Panorama restaurant is good, but unfortunately only a menu and no buffet. Dinner in the “Am Kachelofen” restaurant is a buffet, but with a rather mediocre selection. There are almost no dishes for children, even though it is actually a family-friendly hotel. 2) Target group of the hotel: That is perhaps a bit at the heart of the problem. The hotel fluctuates between a family hotel, a business hotel and a wellness hotel. It doesn 't exactly hit the mark for any of these target groups. a) As a family hotel, there is a sports hall with a bouncy castle and some children 's toys. Unfortunately, the family rooms are exactly at the other end of the hotel, so you can easily travel 20 minutes with children. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in between that is barrier-free for strollers or wheelchair users. For whatever reason, there are only 1-2 hours of children 's toys in the swimming pool every day. b) The sauna area is good for wellness guests, but can hardly be used with small children. The rest of the swimming pool area is nice, but a bit small. c) As a business hotel, the many children in the dining room and in the swimming pool are probably annoying. And as a rule, you won 't go to the sauna together in a professional context. 3) Other points: a) It 's great that there is childcare including lunch. b) The staff is friendly, but sometimes not that helpful. There is sometimes a lack of knowledge about how child care works or what is in the food. c) Even simple activities such as billiards cost extra. In a hotel in this price range I would have expected that this would simply be included. d) The prices for cocktails are quite fair, even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer due to the crowds."
