"the staff was very friendly and the location is nice to sit on a warm day outside. the pizza is good, and the egg selection is good and very tasty, especially the spaghetti ice cream menu. the coffee is also decent, and we returned to the breakfast, dinner and dessert during a week long stay in the opposite."

"General It was not the first time and certainly not the last time that we were in the intestine with 5 people. We always like to come here, especially as the kitchen offers a good performance and also awaits with delicious traditional dishes. We had reserved, the welcome was friendly. The service accepted our order in a friendly and competent manner. Of course, the amendments to the supplements were accepted. We looked good. The drinks came to flee, but the food had to wait this time. Since the Bavarian week was straight, our selection fell on the delicacies. Haxe and peasants, as well as pigs and a zander fillet. In addition to the long waiting period, all participants found the food as tasty and good enough. The ambience From a traditional restaurant that goes with time and gently modernizes. I felt comfortable and the others liked it. The tables were tidy and clean in white."

"Jedes Mal wenn ich in der Gegend bin, gehe ich natürlich auch einmal ins Laternchen. Das gehört für mich dazu, das ist für mich "nach Hause" kommen. Hier weiß ich vor dem Besuch schon die wichtigsten Dinge:Es wird mir sehr gut schmeckenIch werde freundlich bedientDie Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offenUnd ich gehe zufriedener Weg als ich gekommen bin. Ich wohne in Hamburg, dort ist die Restaurantauswahl sehr groß. Ich habe dort und auch sonst kein vergleichbares Restaurant/Kneipe gefunden. Hier gehen Sie hin und werden glücklich und satt. Um Tränen zu vermeiden versuchen Sie vorab zu reservieren, es ist gerne mal voll. Das auch mit Grund.Diesmal aß ich den Kochkäs´mit Musik. Das ist Hessen ! Und so lecker im Laternchen.Was besonders zu erwähnen ist, hier sind alle Menschen gleich. Es gibt internationale Gäste (durch die Nähe zur Lufthansa) und Einheimische, Reiche und Arme, konservative und alternative Menschen. Junge und Alte....alles egal...hier sind sie zu Hause. Und ich war es wiedereinmal auch. Vielen Dank dafür."

"Villa Journal was an expected, but pleasant surprise. After visiting Castle Heiligenberg, we decided to drive back to Darmstadt for lunch, however on the way, we found this lovely restaurant. The place was very busy as it was lunch time and only one lady served...the food and took the orders. The food was very delicious and the place served quite large portions. We each had three courses and drinks and for three people the bill was euros. The restaurant is heavily decorated inside, but spacious. Locals seemed to come in for lunch, where they quietly read their newspapers. Parking is available at the back of the restaurant and it is free."

"The Ali Baba 3 is a quick snack with a small restaurant, so seats. The menu consists of typical Turkish and Italian dishes. In addition, there is a delivery service that is probably used in the region. The food is good, but it hits the service. Often you are treated as a group. For a diner yard around the corner, this may be acceptable, but not for a restaurant. I have made multiple negative experience in the case of telephone orders for deliveries. In about 70% of cases, the food is not as ordered. For example, if you order the Döner with yogurt sauce, sharp and without onions for delivery, this is also delivered in the least cases. When ordering by phone, you have already asked to repeat the order to go safely. Unfortunately, you didn't think it was necessary... and it's getting wrong again."

"Während einer Fahrradtour auf der Bergstraße kam ich abends mit meiner Frau total ausgehungert an diesem italienischen Restaurant vorbei. Wir nahmen im gemütlichen, lichtdurchfluteten Biergarten platz. Wir wurden prompt bedient und zwar von der sympathischen und eloquenten Namensgeberin, Angela, höchstpersönlich. Unser Tisch hatte direkten Blick auf die Küche, wo man quasi italienisches Showcooking dargeboten bekommt. Angela empfahl uns hausgemachte Nudeln oder frischen Fisch. Meine Frau entschied sich für die Nudeln - Tortelloni mit Steinpilzen und Salbeibutter. Ich nahm eine Seezunge im Parmesanmantel mit Pfifferlingen und Kartoffeln im Speckmantel - da ich sehr hungrig war wollte ich direkt auch ein Risotto dazu und zwar gemeinsam auf einem Teller :-) Dieser Sonderwunsch wurde mir ohne Umschweife erfüllt. Das Essen wurde uns sehr zügig serviert und schmeckte wirklich fabelhaft. Qualitativ wirklich super und tatsächlich komplett mit frischen Zutaten gekocht. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Risotto, das exakt den richtigen Garpunkt hatte und bei dem jede einzelne Zutat sehr intensiv und aromatisch war. Angesichts meiner ungewöhnlichen Bestellung kam der junge und meiner Meinung nach sehr talentierte Chefkoch "Toni" direkt zu uns an den Tisch und erkundigte sich nach unserer Zufriedenheit. Toll! Toni stellte sich als der Sohn von Angela heraus, der mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung seines Vaters die Küche betreibt. Ein echtes italienisches Familienlokal also. Ich kann mich nur uneingeschränkt den zahlreichen positiven Bewertungen anschließen und jedem dieses italienische Original empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!"
