"This restaurant came recommended by the staff at our hotel. Initially we drove past the restaurant because it is fairly nondescript and some of the lights on the sign have burnt out. The owners enthusiastically welcomed us and showed us to our table. It appeared that the other diners at the restaurant were regulars rather than tourists. The space itself is simple, and the main draw to this place is the food. Everything we ate was excellent. We shared Zucchini flowers and an Egg dish to start. As our primi’s we shared two pastas: a delicate stuffed pasta and tomato based dish. Our secondi was a large bone-in steak which was deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly medium rare. We had spinach and potatoes to go with this. Finally for dessert our host presented us with a board with about 8 small samples of baked goods, tiramisu and a chocolate mousse. The wine selection was interesting, featuring local bottles. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant for travellers in the area. It had the feeling of a “real” Italian restaurant."
