"The cleanliness and basic functionality of the hotel room was so poor that we couldn't stay the night. The room obviously hadn't been cleaned and there was no hot water for a shower, even after running it for 20 minutes. When asked if we could switch rooms they were unfortunately fully booked, but the (owner I'm assuming) fully acknowledged the room was not suitable and that it needed renovating. Following the 120 mile trip home due to no availablity for hotels on a Saturday night, they asked us to email them to resolve the issue. A week on and no reply. While they were pleasant to us in person and keen to resolve the issue, this obviously wasn't genuine as we're now out of pocket with no solution. Appalling."
